The
Time Has Come to Get Rid of This Dysfunctional ‘Royal’ Family and Have an
Elected Head of State
Prince Andrew & the Epstein Scandal: The Newsnight Interview - BBC
News
It is understandable that people will
be delighted at the arrest of ‘Prince’ Andrew (I don’t think Charles should be allowed
to get rid of his embarrassing relative just like that – he has to live with
the discomfort).
In a way so am I of course. Anything that
discomforts and embarrasses this obnoxious man, who was an arms salesman for
Britain, is to be welcomed. [See Arms and the
Royal Man,
Scottish Left Review]
Questions however need to be asked.
Last November I wrote
that Andrew Was The Tip Of A Royal Iceberg of paedophillia. Charles had also covered
for a series of child abusers – Bishop Peter
Ball who was later gaoled
despite Charles having provided him with a house as well as Jimmy Saville and
Lord Mountbatten The real question was why Andrew wasn’t prosecuted for rape
& conspiracy to pervert the course of justice?
Bishop Peter
Ball sentenced to jail for child abuse
This is not a case of no one being
above the law. Andrew has been treated with kid gloves for the past decade by
the Metropolitan Police. They have steadfastly avoided questioning him over sex
with a minor who was being trafficked.
Andrew was not arrested for rape or
for trafficking in women. He has been arrested for allegedly handing over
confidential government documents. That is a very different thing. And whether
he is guilty of this we have no idea.
Prince
Andrew's BBC Newsnight interview is back in the spotlight - watch key moments
What is really outrageous was that as
soon as he settled the lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre in 2022 he should have
been arrested on suspicion of rape. He wasn't. It beggars belief that he handed
over a reputed £12 million to someone lying about having sex with him.
But the Metropolitan Police showed
no interest in pursuing it just as its shown no interested in more recent
revelations about Andrew ordering,
as if in a takeaway, girls
from Epstein.
This is the real scandal not the trifling matter of a few government documents.
In February 2022, after the settlement
with Virginia Giuffre, I posted a blog
asking whether or not rape had now been officially decriminalised. The Met
chose to ignore this somewhat obvious observation.
In case Cressida Dick, the previous
Commissioner of the Met before the present incumbent racist Zionist, Mark
Rowley hadn’t got it, I posted a meme involving a queue at Buckingham Palace on
news that Andrew was giving away money to people he had never met.
Andrew had only agreed to settle with Virginia Giuffre after his bid to prevent the case that Virginia Giuffre had launched failed. See Bid
to dismiss sexual assault lawsuit. In other words he paid up to avoid a
court case in front of a jury.
Andrew & Epstein in the Royal Enclosure, Ascot
In November 2019, after the interview
with Emily Maitlis, I posted a blog saying that
It’s not a carefully controlled, softball interview with the BBC
but an interview under arrest which is required.
I was interested in the Police statement that
they had ‘arrested a man in his sixties
from Norfolk’. When I was arrested, for a ‘Hamas related terror offence’ i.e. saying I support the right of
the Palestinians to resist the occupation, the Police issued
a statement naming me and the street where I lived.I guess it’s one law for the Royals and
another for Commoners. [see Argus 31.1.25]
Andrew was detained for a very few
hours today under questioning. Now I’ve also been arrested on many occasions
and the first thing that happens is that you are put in a cell for a few hours
before being questioned, finger printed, photographed and DNA taken.
I would be interested to know if
Prince Andrew was also kept in the cells before being questioned. I suspect
not.
And the other question is why Jeffrey
Epstein was allowed to roam, almost at will, the various palaces and royal establishments
as well as attend the Royal Enclosure at Ascot.
One thing is for certain. This circus
of the Royal Family and the Crown should end. This dysfunctional family is an
embarrassment. What we need is an accountable, elected head of state. Not someone who owes his office to the
misdeeds of his long forgotten ancestors.
We don’t have hereditary scientists or
mathematicians and we certainly shouldn’t have hereditary office holders and
heads of state.
Demonstrators
in Brighton and Hove see off an assortment of racists and fascists led by the
King of Conspiracy Theorist, Piers Corbyn
Bigots & Piers Corbyn
Demonstrate Against Drag Queens Reading Stories to Children
There was a demonstration by hundreds of people on Thursday
at Brighton’s Jubilee Library against an assortment of fascists, cranks and conspiracy
theorists who were attempting to prevent drag queen Aida H Dee from reading
stories to children.
They were led by Piers Corbyn who seems to take pride in his idiocy.
Leading chants of ‘your parents were
straight’ and speaking of the New World Order it is clear that Corbyn has become
gripped by a pathology that prevents all rational thought.
The pervasive idea that gripped the counter demonstrators was
that by being read stories by a drag queen the ‘innocence’ of young children
was being compromised and that they were being groomed.
Hove Bigots Demonstrate
These people have a fear of any sexuality which isn’t
straight and believe that by coming into contact with those who are gay or
transgender children will be contaminated and converted. Simply as a matter of
fact children are sexual beings. They are inquisitive about their own bodies
and that of other children. They will often play ‘doctor’ and play with
themselves. That is a normal part of
growing up. For fascists and racists, children are innocent until they
reach puberty. See Child sexuality.
The idea that children might experiment with different gender
roles is a threat to those who cannot envisage anything other than male and
female stereotypes. Anyone who has actually had children knows that they like
to experiment in for example dressing up as the other sex or playing different
roles. But for the fascists and the assorted
nutcases who gathered in Brighton and Hove this is a threat, not least to their
own identity.
Not all those who demonstrated in Brighton and Hove were
fascists but a good proportion were. I received an email a week ago from the
outright neo-Nazi Patriotic Alternative boasting
that
‘Patriotic Alternative has led the
charge to oppose this clear attempt to introduce children to sexualised
material.’
We were accused by them
of being paedophiles (a favourite accusation of neo-Nazis), grooming children and
we were otherwise subject to abuse from these low lives. The irony is that it
is the far right which has always contained within it numerous child abusers and
paedophiles.
Hove Paedophile Woman
This
should be no surprise since authoritarian political movements are a magnet for
those who want to dominate others, including children. It is the Right and
far-Right which have always supported beating children. Of course that was for their
own good! Nothing to do with child abuse or their own sexual proclivities.
The woman in the video
who accused us of paedophilia, was repeating a standard fascist trope belies
the evidence. Below are a few examples.
Child abuse, paedophilia and the far-right
Despite
his claim to campaign against child abuse, no one has been friendlier to
paedophiles and child abusers than Tommy Robinson. Robinson has repeatedly equated
Muslims with child abuse yet the statistics are quite clear. The actual
data shows that the ethnic origins of those convicted of sexual contact
with children are pretty much the same as the ethnic mix of the UK.
What is
clear though is that fascists and neo-Nazis are over represented amongst those
who are convicted. Below are a few examples:
1.In 2010 Tommy Robinsons friend Richard Price was convicted
of making 4 indecent images of children. Far from condemning Price a campaign
was launched by the EDL for his release. Robinson wholeheartedly
supported Price, claiming he had been “stitched
up” and that “Price has no idea how
they were on his computer.”
Since its formation, there have been at least 20
members and supporters of the EDL convicted of child sexual exploitation
offences. At least 10 of these were active while Robinson was still leading it.
2.The most shocking case was that of Robert Ewing, who murdered
schoolgirl Paige Chivers. He was later prosecuted for abusing
two other children.
3.Leigh Mcmillan, a senior EDL figure was sentenced to
17 years after abusing
a 10 year-old schoolgirl 100 times in the mid-1990s.
4.In 2010, EDL supporter Brett Moses was given a
12-month suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to sexual
grooming.
5.In 2011 John Broomfield, an active EDL supporter, admitted
20 counts of making indecent images of children. The police found 236 indecent
images depicting children and babies on his computers.
6.Also in 2011, Michael Coates was charged with a series
of sex offences, including two attempted rapes. He was active
in the EDL splinter group the North West Infidels.
7.In 2011, a gang of racists attacked Redbridge Islamic
Centre. Elliot Jones, one of the attackers on that day, was convicted
of trying to incite a child into sexual activity.
8.Mark “Archie” Sleman was an EDL supporter who was active
in London and Exeter. He was imprisoned
for nine years in 1994 for the kidnap and rape of a ten-year-old girl.
9.In 2012 EDL member Matthew Woodward was charged
with possession of images of children as young as 10.
10.Michael Kinnear, who was active in the EDL was gaoled
in 2015 after police found images on his mobile of a primary school aged girl
“performing a type of striptease” and in a state of undress.
11.47
year old Paul Whiteside was given
a 10-month jail sentence suspended for two years for abducting a school girl. Whiteside
had previously campaigned against ‘Muslim
grooming of young girls in Lincolnshire.’
13.More recently, Robinson once again found himself
allied with a sex offender. In June 2017, he shared a stage with William
Charlton at a rally in Sunderland at an event where the sexual abuse of
children was the key theme of the speeches. It later transpired that Charlton
was found
guilty of distributing an indecent photograph of a child.
I could go on but as I said, fascism attracts people who love
uniforms and worship authority. Children are their ideal targets because of
their vulnerability which is why their accusations of paedophilia are a means
of projecting their own inadequacies onto others.
Gender Criticism
However there is also another aspect to this fear of people
who don’t conform to ‘normal’ gender stereotypes.
As people will know from previous blogs, I do not agree with
much of transgender ideology when it comes into conflict with women’s demands
for autonomy. In particular I find it difficult
to accept the claim that a transwoman is a woman sexually when that clearly isn’t
the case biologically. Likewise I can’t
accept that mere self-definition without more therefore means that a man can
claim to be a woman.
However I have always been clear that we should not countenance
prejudice or discrimination against transgender people. I find it strange that
this debate focuses primarily on transwomen and not on transmen even though the
majority of trans people are the latter. I have no doubt that a section of
transwomen are imbued with what might be called masculinist ideology. For
example the attack
on a group of feminists by transwomen in 2017 in Hyde Park.
What has though shocked me is that someone who I know as a
gender critical feminist posted to me an article critical of the drag
queen story telling and when
I pointed out the far-right connections she was nonchalant about this.
Last year the Institute of Race Relations published an article
by Sophia Siddiqui arguing that gender critical feminists were peddling a
far right agenda. I wrote
to them at the time saying that they might find that they were embarking on
a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Feminists around Womens Place UK and other gender critical feminists
have a responsibility to clearly and explicitly dissociate themselves from the
fascist inspired demonstrations in Reading, Brighton and Hove and other
places. Otherwise their gender
critical ideology will be seen as nothing
more than an attack on trans people per
se.
Piers Corbyn
I have a few words to say about Piers Corbyn who I have just
unfriended on Facebook. I sent him a message:
After today I am removing
you as a friend. You have come a long way from a squatters leader and member of
the IMG to someone who demonstrates alongside Patriotic Alternative and
assorted fascists and bigots. I have no idea what has taken hold of you but you
are working with an assortment of cranks and conspiracy theorists. Clearly
socialism and a class analysis play no part in your world outlook or analysis.
From always being an eccentric you have made idiocy your byword.
I first knew Piers over 40 years ago when he was the leader
of the London Squatting Union as well as a member of the International Marxists
Group. Now he comes across as a deranged conspiracy theorist, a climate denier
and anti-vaxxer who happily works with fascists and other freaks. He has now decided to join these people in ‘protecting
children’. It is true that children do
need to be protected but primarily from Corbyn and his fascist friends.
Hove Paedophile Woman
The irony is that it was the parents of the children who were
taking them to the story time, so it was they who were being accused of being
paedophiles and groomers by these misfits and bigots.
This was undoubtedly distressing to the parents which was why
it was necessary that we outnumbered them. CNN quoted
one parentwho had to
pass through a Patriotic Alternative demonstration in Reading:
Rosie said she was unprepared for the vitriol she
encountered at the library, where protesters waved signs reading "Stop
grooming children" and a line of police officers ushered parents into the
building. At least one mother was crying inside as protesters played the theme
song to British TV show "Jim'll Fix It," whose late host was a notorious child sexual abuser, on loudspeakers outside the
library.
"It was just horrible. I was expecting it to be
a joyous thing, considering it had been Pride a couple of weeks ago in
Bristol." Instead, she said the harassment by protesters was "very
backwards and (I feel) naive to think there's been any progress."
Bigots and fascists chant 'Antifa Out' - an
obsession of Trump loyalists and assorted White Supremacist groups
At least one person chanted ‘antifa out’. Antifa being
an anti-fascist organisation that Trump demonised in the United States. These
are the people that Corbyn has decided to link up with. He should remember the saying about those who
lie down with dogs get up with fleas!
The time has come for this dysfunctional family to be retired and Britain
to become a Democratic Republic
It beggars
belief that Andrew Windsor is innocent of the allegations made against him by Virginia
Giuffre. Allegations which he strenuously denied in his disastrous interview with
Emily Maitlis in November 2019. A child could work out that you don’t pay £10m+
to someone you don’t know.
Rape is
having sex without consent.A 17 year
old girl who is being trafficked, i.e. not free to go, is not in a position to
give meaningful consent. The question is why the Metropolitan Police haven’t
interviewed her. It appears that the Met has a policy for the rich and
powerful and another for us.
As I wrote at the time, the interview with Emily Maitlis was in the traditions of the BBC’s sycophantic
coverage of all things Royal. It was a soft softball interview. Yet despite the
reluctance of Maitlis to pursue obvious lines of inquiry, such as why he had
spent 4 days with Jeffrey Epstein at his New York mansion and what he had done
during that time, or why he didn’t avail himself of the hospitality of the British
Embassy, it was a car crash interview.
The only
mitigating factor for Andrew Windsor is that he must be incredibly stupid, even
by Royal standards. How could he have ever thought that this interview would
clear him? His own press spokesman resigned at the time after his advice had been disregarded. And yet the Queen, who had the power to prohibit the
interview, did nothing. Clearly stupidity is a Windsor characteristic. Too much
inbreeding!
Windsor’s
explanations, his inability to sweat or the outing to the Woking Pizza Express,
were widely derided at the time. Clearly his decision to settle, despite his bravado that he was looking forward to giving evidence, reflected the fact that these were brazen and pathetic lies. His assertion that he had benefited from being
associated with Epstein caused widespread revulsion but we should bear in mind
that standards in the Royal Family are not those of most people nor was it the
only time that the Windsors have supported Establishment paedophiles.
The first
police investigation into Ball, who died in June, was launched in 1992. Despite there being an abundance of evidence
to bring the case to trial, it was decided that Ball would get a "police
caution" for gross indecency instead. The report found that one of the
detectives working on the case was worried about the case going to trial due to
Ball's mental state and the "devastating
effect" it could have on the Church of England.
There was
also an understanding that Ball would resign from his post, which he did. But
just four months later, the then-Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, wrote
to Ball about planning his "cautious
return to ministry." Less than two years later, he was back to work
with "no restrictions" — and was even allowed to be around children
and young people unsupervised.
In June 2017 George
Carey resigned from his last formal role in the church after Dame Moira
Gibb's independent investigation found he covered up, by failing to
pass to police, six out of seven serious sex abuse allegations relating to 17-
to 25-year-olds against BishopPeter Ball. In 2019 the Independent
Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse [ICSA] confirmed Carey had discredited
credible allegations of child sex abuse within the Church and failing to
accompany disciplinary action with adding to the church's own safeguarding
watchlist.
IICSA said Carey showed
compassion to Peter Ball that was not extended to his victims, and displayed
overt support for Ball’s innocence despite having no justification. The
church’s response was marked by secrecy, prevarication and avoidance of
reporting crimes.
The report spoke of “The damaging
consequence of this overriding allegiance to one’s own ‘tribe’ was that child
protection was compromised” in the Diocese of Chichester. Perpetrators,
about whom there were allegations or even convictions, were provided with
unrestricted access to children and young people.
Apologies given by
Justin Welby, the present archbishop of Canterbury, and other senior church
figures over the C of E’s failures were “unconvincing”.
Alexis Jay, the inquiry’s chair, said:
‘For years, the diocese of Chichester
failed victims of child sexual abuse by prioritising its own reputation above
their welfare. Not only were disclosures of abuse handled inadequately by the
church, its response was marked by secrecy and a disregard for the seriousness
of the abuse allegations.’
Carey told the
inquiry that he was “under
great pressure” from Ball’s supporters. William Chapman, representing
survivors, told the inquiry: “The story
of Peter Ball is the story of the establishment at work in modern times.” Ball
had been able to call upon the
George Carey - a nasty racist, Zionist and homophobe
‘willing assistance of members of the
establishment. It included the heir to the throne, the archbishop and a senior
member of the judiciary, to name only the most prominent.’
Neil Todd, who made the first complaint against Ball to the police in
1992, killed himself in 2012 after several previous attempts.
A separate
independent review of the Ball case, commissioned by the C of E and published
last year, found evidence of collusion and a cover-up at the highest levels
over a 20-year period. Peter Hancock, the bishop of Bath and Wells said:
‘The report states that the CoE
should have been a place which protected all children and supported victims and
survivors and the inquiry’s summary recognises that it failed to do this....
the church at all levels should learn lessons from the issues raised in this
report.’
In order to demonstrate how much it had learnt its lessons in February
2018 Carey was granted permission to officiate by Steven Croft, the bishop of
Oxford, allowing him to preach and preside at churches. This was revoked on 17
June 2020 as the church found Carey could have done more to pass to police
allegations of historic beatings at schools and evangelical children's camps,
by John Smyth. Permission was restored to Carey seven months later.
As a result of publicity
a second police investigation was launched in 2012, which resulted in Ball
pleading guilty three years later to misconduct in public office and indecent
assault and abusing a total of 18 teens and young men over a period of 15
years. He was released from prison in February 2017, after serving half of his
32-month sentence.
The
scandal involving Charles Windsor arose as a result of his relationship with
Ball between the first police investigation and Ball being reinstated in the
church.
Windsor was
among the many influential people in the UK that Ball formed friendships with,
including Margaret Thatcher, senior judges, and headmasters at private schools,
according to The Guardian.
In August
1994, Charles Windsor sent his private secretary to Lambeth Palace to inquire
about Ball's status to the Archbishop's top aide. When he learned that Ball had
still not been cleared to return to ministry in February 1995, he wrote to Ball
saying "I wish I could do more."
"I feel
so desperately strongly about the monstrous wrongs that have been done to you
and the way you have been treated. It's appalling that the archbishop has gone
back on what he told me, before Xmas, that he was hoping to restore you to some
kind of ministry in the church. I suspect you are absolutely right — it is due
to fear of the media,"
Charles
wrote, in one of the many letters exchanged during their two-decade
correspondence.
He even
bought Ball a house to live in, using the Duchy of Cornwall (our money!) to purchase
the property and then renting it out to Ball and his twin brother from 1995 to
2011.
After
Ball's conviction, an independent inquiry into child abuse was launched into
how the case was handled.
When the
panel published their report they said "the actions of the Prince of Wales were misguided". In
other words a slap on the wrist.
His actions, and those of his staff, could have been
interpreted as expressions of support for Peter Ball and, given the Prince of
Wales' future role within the Church of England, had the potential to influence
the actions of the Church,
while Windsor said he
took no position on Peter Ball's return to ministry,
he and his private secretary enquired about Peter Ball within Lambeth Palace.
He should have recognized the potential effect that his apparent support for
Peter Ball could have had upon decision-making within Lambeth Palace,"
But this should
not be any surprise. The Queen herself has maintained close relations with the
most abominable of her relations abroad such as King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa of
Bahrain. As the Guardian reported in May
2019
The
king regularly attends the prestigious five-day Royal Windsor horse show, which
is a highlight in the Queen’s year. Pictures on Friday showed him meeting the
British monarch and Prince Andrew, with the two heads of state laughing
together as they watched the event.
Such
is the closeness of the two monarchs that they have gifted each other horses
from their respective stables; the king providing two to the Queen in 2013. The
British monarch responded in 2017, giving him a horse in return.
The King
maintains a veritable dictatorship in Bahrain which Britain has supplied with over
£100 million of arms since 2011. Bahrain is a Sunni dictatorship ruling over a
majority Shia population. The Arab Spring demonstrations in 2011 were met with
murderous repression including Saudi Arabia despatching troops to put it down.
Doctors
and nurse tending the wounded were themselves tortured. A
report here gives further details on the unsavoury relations of the Queen
Elizabeth Windsor and the Sultan of Brunei
In May
2012 the Queen hosted a
gathering of her unsavoury relations such as the Sultan of Brunei who introduced a law that included stoning
to death for gays and those who commit adultery. It was only under heavy
pressure that he was forced not to implement them (though one can never be
sure).
So Andrew
is not the Black Sheep of his family. Far from it. He is just the most stupid
and brazen of the Windsors, a dysfunctional and parasitic family.
It is not
however a question of the personal inadequacies of this inbred family. It is a
question of democracy. No one would ever suggest that we should appoint
hereditary mathematicians or poets. Why then do we still have hereditary heads
of state?
The
slavish loyalty of the BBC and unprincipled politicians like Starmer and
Johnson to the monarchy has nothing to do with the ‘good’ job that Elizabeth
Windsor performs. It has everything to do with the important political role
that the monarchy plays in legitimising the British state. They are the symbol
of the British state and the armed forces swear their allegiance, not to the
people of Britain but the Queen in state.
As such
the monarchy is a perpetual threat to democracy. If Corbyn had become Prime
Minister, despite the hostility of the British Establishment and the threats of
unnamed Generals, then it is quite feasible that a coup would have been
launched, as it has in other countries, in the name of the Monarch.
The political
function of the Royals is to serve as the icing on a poisonous cake.
They represent the heart of an undemocratic state, with its unelected Lords.
They are the face of privilege and perform the role of binding together the nation in obeisance to a myth. However rich or poor you are you can always
identify with the ‘Royals’. The slavish and gushing coverage in the tabloid
press aims at making them appear ‘human’ and one of us.
I prefer
the advice of the revolutionary poet Percy Shelley who wrote in his Philosophical
View of Reform (1820) that ‘Monarchy is only the string which ties the robber’s
bundle.’It is as true now as it
was 200 years ago.
