Dear Tim Davie,

You should be congratulated on your coverage of the second anniversary of October 7. Once again, you have faithfully acted as the Foreign Office’s Obedient Servant. I compliment you on your skill in manipulating language in an attempt to erase from memory the Genocide in Gaza.

‘Genocide’ is a word that the BBC decided to ban despite every human rights organisation, from Amnesty to B’tselem  and the UN’s own Commission concluding that genocide was taking place.

Not only did the BBC not use the word Genocide but it interrupted guests at least 100 times when they dared to mention the word. As the Media Monitoring Report on your Double Standards asked

Why has the BBC downplayed genocide allegations over 100 times while omitting Israeli genocidal statements such as Netanyahu’s Amalek reference cited by the ICJ?’ 

It’is a good question but I suspect that you don’t have an answer which isn’t economical with the truth. Either way it shows whose side you were on.

In July 2024 an article in The Lancet estimated that the true figure of Palestinians killed, after 9 months, was 186,000 direct and indirect deaths. After 24 months that figure would be 496,000. However given the starvation blockade by Israel since March 2025 the numbers may be considerably higher.

Dr Gideon Polya estimated in January 2025 that the true figure of direct and indirect deaths may have been 553,000.

This tallies with the number that Israel’s Ambassador to London, Tzipi Hotoveli estimated might need to be killed, 600,000, when she was interviewed by Piers Morgan in October 2023.

So what does the BBC do after two years of Israel’s genocidal attack on Gaza?   It focuses its attention on the Israeli ‘victims’ of October 7.

It is as if a history of the Warsaw Ghetto were to focus on a sympathetic portrait of the Nazis who died in the Uprising rather than the Jews who died in the fighting.

It is clear where the BBC’s sympathies lie.  With the modern day Nazis who killed the human animals occupying Gaza Ghetto and who sought to ethnically cleanse Gaza.

Throughout the Gaza holocaust the BBC has deliberately ignored the genocidal statements of intent by Israeli ministers such as Amichai Eliyahu who first called for a nuclear bomb to be dropped on Gaza and in May 2025 called for food reserves in Gaza to be bombed. "They need to starve," he said.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on 6 May 2025 told settler representatives that

Within a few months, we will be able to declare that we have won. Gaza will be totally destroyed

But if the BBC minimised Palestinian suffering it magnified that of Israel. In your coverage you repeatedly said ‘about 1200 Israelis were killed’. In fact 1,139 died according to Bituah Leumi, Israel's social security agency.

Of the Israelis who died just one baby, Mila Cohen, died and that was accidental. Compare that to the thousands of Palestinians babies murdered. Approximately 400 soldiers and police were killed. Not once has the BBC mentioned that one-third of those killed on October 7 were legitimate military targets.

About 750 civilians died. However it is clear that the majority of them were killed by Israel itself which put the Hannibal Directive into operation as early as 7.18 a.m. when an order was issued to despatch a Zik, an attack drone, against soldiers at Erez Junction.

The Hannibal Directive says that if a soldier is in danger of being captured he should be killed. It was employed throughout October 7. Is there a reason that the BBC has never, not once, mentioned the term Hannibal Directive even though Israeli papers have frequently discussed it?  This is news management worthy of Pravda.

The only survivor of a house in Kibbutz Be’eri that was shelled by an Israeli tank, Yasmine Porat, told Israel’s Kan Radio that 13 Israeli hostages were killed by Israeli security forces. She also said that she and other civilians were treated humanely by the Palestinian fighters.

Tank fires on Israeli civilian home in Kibbutz Be'eri, 7 October 2023

In Samantha Simmons broadcast on October 7 she mentioned the attack on Kibbutz Be’eri, where 101 Israelis died.  What was not mentioned was the fact, (Ha'aretz 7.7.24) that Brig. Gen. Barak Hiram gave orders for a tank to fire on a house holding 14 hostages including Yasmine Porat.  The same happened throughout Kibbutz Be’eri but the BBC thought that such matters might confuse people and its message that the October 7 attack was unprovoked. 

Ha'aretz’s Nir Hasson quoted a resident of Be’eri, Tuval, who spoke about the ‘difficult decisions’ of Israeli commanders which:

 Include(d) shelling houses with all their occupants inside in order to eliminate the terrorists along with the hostages... The price was terrible: at least 112 Be’eri people were killed.”

Why has none of this been mentioned by the BBC?

The implication is clear. The Israelis who died at Be’eri, one-seventh of all Israeli civilians killed, were killed by Israeli tanks.

The lie that October 7 was the beginning of history is best illustrated by the Israeli phrase that it was moving the lawn (or grass) in Gaza. As John Feffor of the Institute of Policy Studies explained:

Ever since it withdrew its settlements in 2005, Israel has periodically attacked Gaza. This shelling of locations throughout the narrow strip of land gave rise to the Israeli expression “mowing the lawn.” In other words, Israel was bombing Gaza on a regular basis to “maintain order.”

In other words Israel has periodically attacked Gaza with overwhelming force every few years in order to ensure that Gazans understood who was in charge.  Attacks by Israel occurred in 2008/9 (Operation Cast Lead), 2012 (Pillar of Defence), 2014 (Protective Edge), the Great Return March (March 2018) and May 2021. Thousands of Palestinians were killed and injured in these attacks so the BBC pretence that nothing had occurred before October 2023 is an egregious lie.

The Great Return March of 2018 was completely peaceful but Israeli snipers fired from earth banks thousands of rounds which killed about 300 people and injured thousands (they had been told to fire at knee caps in order to deliberately disable as many as possible). This was symbolised by the deliberate murder of the unarmed Razan al-Najar, a 20 year old medic.

Likewise there was no mention of the Apache helicopters which Israel used throughout the day to fire on any vehicle returning to Gaza or thought likely to do so. There is abundant evidence that their pilots shot at everything that moved and killed the occupants of the cars, Israelis included.

 The Israeli military released drone footage showing hundreds of scorched and damaged cars moved from the Nova music festival, providing further evidence that Israeli forces likely killed many of their own on 7 October, as RT reported on 6 November.  Hamas fighers were carrying light weapons which could not possibly have caused such damage.

Perhaps you can explain why the Australian Broadcasting Service can run a story ‘Israeli forces accused of killing their own citizens under the 'Hannibal Directive' during October 7 chaos’ but the BBC is incapable of doing so? Don’t worry I know the answer Tim which is that you were put into the BBC in order to ensure that you continued to function as the Voice of Israel.

I hesitate to ask why the figures of dead and injured from Gaza’s Health Ministry are always accompanied by a reference to Hamas-run, whereas the BBC never refers to Israeli propaganda as Likud-run. After all it is Israel which has consistently lied throughout the genocide, to the extent of barring reporters from entering Gaza and doing its best to kill those who are already there.

Israel murdered 15 Medics on 23 March whilst claiming that they had approached Israeli troops in unlit vehicles. When this was proved to be a lie, as video footage had been collected from one of the dead bodies, Israel claimed that it was all a ‘mistake’, an explanation that the BBC carried faithfully.

Under your genocide cleansing leadership the BBC pulled from ‘i’ player Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone, a film starring a 13 year old Palestinian narrator Abdullah because his father was deputy Agriculture Minister in Gaza’s government, as if the sins of the father are those of the children.  No evidence has ever been produced that the father was a member of Hamas, not that that should have made any difference. At least he wasn’t a member of Religious Zionism.

And if one act of cowardice was not enough, you pulled Gaza: Doctors Under Attack because of concerns over impartiality.  Presumably it is BBC policy not to differentiate between Good and Evil. I can only assume that future BBC programmes on the Holocaust will include neo-Nazis and holocaust deniers being allowed equal time for the sake of ‘balance’.

Gaza’s genocide is a holocaust and the BBC has been an accomplice to that genocide.

There isn’t an agreement that Israel has been party to that hasn’t been broken.  Israel was supposed to be out of Lebanon but it is now saying that it will maintain 5 permanent bases, naturally in support of its ‘right to self defence’. It has also made it clear that it is staying in Southern Syria following the fall of Assad.

I sometimes think how unlucky Nazi Germany was with its propaganda chief. Goebbels really wasn’t up to it. If Hitler had the benefit of the Daily Mail and BBC then every conquest he made could have been presented as an act of self-defence.

Israel’s goal today remains the same. The removal of the Palestinians from Gaza. In my interview with Rania I was sceptical of their ability to pull it off but as time goes on I am increasingly fearful that they may get away with a large-scale ‘transfer’ given the supine nature of the Arab leaders and the willingness of the Americans to support it.

European leaders’ opposition isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit. We can see Netanyahu prepare the ground with his ludicrous lies that the two Bibas children were killed by Hamas.  We should treat this story on a par with the allegations that Hamas had chopped off the heads of 40 babies which what the media ran with.  It was a lie then and it is a lie now.

But who should leap out to amplify the false stories that Netanyahu, an inveterate and well known liar peddled?  Why our own snake-like Foreign Secretary, David Lammy and of course the viperous Sturmer himself.

There is little doubt that Netanyahu and his fellow war-criminals are itching to restart the genocide. It is incumbent upon the anti-war movement in this country to step up the protests. Starmer and Lammy have not issued on word of protest at Israel’s mistreatment of the Palestinian prisoners, their humiliating release and abuse. The token demonstrations wandering through London have to step up. Our first rallying point should be the BBC and the Metropolitan Police with their ‘anti-Semitism’ scam should be told to go to hell. We will meet at the BBC because they are the originators of the lies that facilitate genocide.

Interviews with Katie Halper and Rania Khalek

In January and February I was interviewed on a wide range of topics by Katie Halper and Rania Khalek. These included my arrest on October 4 for calling Israel ‘Hitler’s Bastard Offspring’. The filth didn’t like the comparison. They even thought it was anti-Semitic though the thick plod were unable to explain why in my interview.

As I explained to Katie, anti-Zionist Jews are invisible so perhaps that is why. But if they weren’t so stupid they would understand that Zionism is of Christian not Jewish origin.  Jews always opposed Zionism until the holocaust apart from a few freaks and reactionaries.

Of course today the Zionists exploit the holocaust for all its worth with Gilad Erdan, Israel’s representative to the UN donning a Yellow Star. His comparison with the Jewish dead of the holocaust was sickening. If he had had any integrity he would have worn a swastika.  Zionism has always exploited the Jews who died in the holocaust whom Zionism turned its back on.

According to Chaim Weizmann, Israel’s first President, the Jews who died in the holocaust were:

dust on the wheels of history and they may have to be blown away. We don’t want them pouring into Palestine. We don’t want Tel Aviv to become another low-grade ghetto.

Erdan ‘forgot’ to mention that during the Hitler era the Zionists were the Nazis favourite Jews. Explaining why Zionists were the good Jews, unlike the ‘assimilationist’ Jews who kept on insisting that they were Jewish Germans, Reinhardt Heydrich, head of the SS, said:

The activity of the Zionist-oriented youth organisations that are engaged in the occupational restructuring of the Jews … lies in the interest of the National Socialist state’s leadership. (These organizations) are not to be treated with that strictness that it is necessary to apply to the members of the so-called German-Jewish organizations (assimilationists).

I also explained my own conversion to anti-Zionism having been brought up in a Zionist family. I was brought up on the lie that the Palestinian refugees voluntarily left their homes and villages rather than being expelled at the point of a gun.

I also explained how, when Zionism first arose, the only people who welcomed it were anti-Semites and that this is true today too.  I specifically mentioned the President of America’s million strong Christians United 4 Israel, John Hagee, who gave a sermon explaining why Hitler was god’s emissary sent to drive the Jews to Palestine.

Orthodox Jews in particular opposed Zionism. Agudat Yisrael was founded as a specifically anti-Zionist organisation. This gives the lie to the claims of Britain’s racist Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis that Zionism and Judaism have been intertwined for 3,000 years.

I also went into the content of my book in some depth explaining that for the Zionists building a ‘Jewish’ state was the first priority in the holocaust and that Ben-Gurion is notorious for saying that if there was a choice to be made between rescuing and saving Jews and building their bastard state, the latter comes first. 

When Britain offered to take 10,000 Jewish children in the wake of Kristallnacht the Zionists were outraged that they weren’t going to Palestine. In a speech to Mapai’s (Israeli Labor Party) Central Committee Ben-Gurion said:

If I knew that it would be possible to save all the children in Germany by bringing them over to England, and only half of them by transporting them to Eretz Yisrael, then I would opt for the second alternative. For we must weigh not only the life of these children, but also the history of the People of Israel.

I also described the Kasztner Affair and the resulting trial in Israel from 1954-8 when the leader of Hungarian Zionism, a senior official and candidate in Mapai (the Israeli Labor Party) for the next elections, Rudolf Kasztner, sued for libel when he was accused of being a Nazi collaborator. He lost when it transpired that he had spent his time post-war at Nuremberg testifying in favour of Nazi war criminals.

Kasztner had concluded a deal with Eichmann that if the Nazis agreed to a train out of Hungary for the select few (Zionists, bourgeois and a few rabbis) he would not inform Hungarian Jews of the Auschwitz Protocols which two escapees from Auschwitz had written detailing where they would go if they boarded a deportation train. Up till then no one knew that Auschwitz was an extermination camp. Kasztner went so far as to misinform those who were deported that they were travelling to a fictious resettlement camp, Kenyermeze.

With Rania I gave an outline of the development of Zionist historiography of the holocaust and how it had been distorted to accord with Zionist myths of Jewish resistance. Zionism has rewritten the letters and memoirs of the Zionist resistance fighters in the Warsaw ghetto eliminating their criticisms of the Zionist movement.  This was in order that their writings should accord with the Zionist narrative that they led the resistance and were heroes rather than sordid collaborators.

The Zionist historians had also erased entirely the role of Jewish anti-Zionists, in particular the Jewish anti-Zionist Bund and its leader, the last Commander of the Resistance, Marek Edelman.

With Rania I first discussed Trump’s ethnic cleansing plans. I was sceptical that they would succeed but I am less so now as all the indications are that Israel is looking for an excuse to resume the genocide.

We discussed the reaction of Israeli Jews to the plan. 80% support it and just 3% think its amoral. Which means that 97% of Israelis are not only amoral bastards but genocidaires too.  The other 17% either can’t make their mind up about it or think it’s not practical.

I imagine some Nazis also thought the extermination of Jews, Poles, Gays, Roma etc. was not practical. This is the morality of Israelis and that’s why I find it hard to explain why in a democratic, secular state  Israeli Jews would have the right to national rights as Jews. It is difficult explaining why Palestinians should be forced to live side by side with genocidal would be murderers.

There is an overwhelming case for American Jews with 2 passports, especially the settlers on the West Bank, to be deported back to Brooklyn.

I also explained that Hitler didn’t start out with a plan to genocide the Jews. His plan, like the Zionists was ethnic cleansing.  It was only when that failed that genocide became his only option if he wanted to be rid of the Jews. The same ‘dilemma’ faces the Zionists.  If it can’t be expulsion it must be holocaust.

I went into how the very history of the holocaust had been rewritten by the Zionists to emphasise Jewish resistance, despite it being very low apart from the Warsaw Ghetto and a few others such as at Bialystock which went off at half cock, Lachwa and Minsk.

We discussed the situation of Arab Jews in Israel and how Israel deliberately set out to destabilise their position in 1948. In Iraq it is well documented that they planted bombs in synagogues and other places Jews frequented in order to stimulate flight. Avi Shlaim, an Emeritus Professor at Oxford University in his book Three Worlds has recently come up with further proof of Zionist involvement in the bombings.

When the Zionist underground threw a grenade into the courtyard of the Masudo Shemtov synagogue in Baghdad, killing 2 people, they stimulated a mass emigration of the oldest Jewish community in the world.  Out of 135,000 Jews only 10,000 remained after 1951.

I also told how when they arrived in Israel Iraq’s Jews were treated like animals and were sprayed with DDT. Three Worlds also explains how a rich cultured community were turned into poor labourers in Israel, forced to sleep in tents and how they were deArabised.

I described how Holocaust Worship today leads to the creation of holocaust museums (but not for Black slaves or the Native Indians) such as the United States  Holocaust Museum where history has been rewritten.  When I went there Pastor Niemoller’s saying ‘First they came for ...’ was hanging above the entrance except it had been changed. The first category was ‘First they came for the communists’ but that wouldn’t do in cold war America so it was omitted.

I also showed how two-thirds of the members of the Judenrate, the Nazi Councils that the Nazis established to help implement the Final Solution, were Zionist. It was the Judenrate and not the Nazis who rounded up Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto. Rania observed that the Palestinian Authority was the Palestinian equivalent of the Judenrate!

I quoted Hannah Arendt who said in her book Eichmann in Jerusalem that

Wherever Jews lived, there were recognized Jewish leaders, and this leadership, almost without exception, cooperated in one way or another, for one reason or another, with the Nazis. The whole truth was that if the Jewish people had really been unorganized and leaderless, there would have been chaos and plenty of misery but the total number of victims would hardly have been between four and a half and six million people.[1]

I told how the Warsaw ghetto resistance’s first task was to execute Jewish collaborators. They couldn’t have organised a rebellion with the collaborators operating. This is equally true of the Palestinian revolution. It too has to execute its collaborators.

Katie discussed my book, Zionism During the Holocaust in some depth in particular how the Zionist movement has weaponised Jewish suffering and anti-Semitism whilst refusing to draw any universal lessons from the Holocaust. I also spoke about my arrest under the Terrorism Acts and the attacks on the Palestine solidarity movement in Britain and Europe.

The Katie Halper Show – Interview with Tony Greenstein, Jenny Manson & Rabbi Herschel Gluck

I won’t even attempt to summarise the topics we discussed but I enjoyed both interviews which were penetrating and thoughtful. At a time when Israel is committing genocide in Gaza as a consequence of colonial expansion and in the cause of racial purity, it is incumbent on Jewish anti-Zionists to speak out against the horrors that are taking place in our name.

Another point of comparison between Israel and Nazi Germany is Israel’s policy of starvation of Gaza’s civilian population. This is taken straight out of the Nazi playbook. 20% of the Warsaw ghetto, some 80,000 people, died from starvation. An even higher percentage died in Lodz, the second biggest ghetto in Poland. Hans Frank, the Nazi governor of Poland, spoke of Death By Hunger as does Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Finance Minister, who is of the opinion that starving 2 million people to death would be ‘moral’ if only the West would allow him to get away with it!

The mass executions that Israel has carried out and the mass graves, to say nothing of the torture camps, resemble nothing so much as the Nazi policies towards the civilian population of the countries they occupied. In some ways they are worse.

The major difference between Nazi Germany and Israel is that anti-Semitism in Germany itself was mainly confined to a hardcore of the Nazi party, the ‘old fighters’ whereas in Israel genocidal racism is supported by the overwhelming majority of the Jewish population.

This is perhaps best summed up in the hilarious story of a Zionist who went in search of Palestinians to kill in Miami Beach, Florida and ended up shooting two Israelis who he thought looked like Palestinians! The Israelis, assuming it was an anti-Semitic attack by Palestinians, signed off with ‘death to the Arabs’ on Facebook.

According to the bogus IHRA ‘definition’ of anti-Semitism, it is anti-Semitic to compare Israel to Nazi Germany (but is it anti-German to compare Nazi Germany to Israel?!). Yet Israelis go out of their way to draw such parallels themselves. A Nazi mentality has descended on the Jewish population of Israel.

An article in Ha’aretz 'When You Leave Israel and Enter Gaza, You Are God': described how many soldiers in Gaza reported moral injuries: "I felt like, like, like a Nazi ... it looked exactly like we were actually the Nazis and they were the Jews."

I Responded by Asking Them Why They Wanted to Commemorate the Holocaust and what ‘Truth’ was it That They Wanted to Preserve? 

I didn’t know that I was on Yad Vashem’s mailing list of donors. Clearly I now walk in exalted company! Perhaps that’s because Yad Vashem now has a copy of my book, given to them in memory of Yehuda Schwarzbaum (1930-2011) and his relatives who were murdered in the Holocaust.

Clearly Zohar Neumann, who sent me the begging letter, hadn’t read my book because if he had he would have come across more criticism of Yad Vashem than I expect he is used to.  Founded in 1953 as an Israeli State propaganda institution, Yad Vashem is the main institution charged with developing a Zionist holocaust narrative, distorting holocaust history and creating what is called ‘holocaust awareness’ or consciousness.

Despite its commitment to learning the lessons of the holocaust, Yad Vashem does not include Israel’s numerous racist laws against its own Arab citizens in that lesson. Nor does it consider the vicious anti-Arab discrimination in Israel, the pogroms against Arabs and calls to expel refugees as forming any part of those lessons. The ‘lessons of the Holocaust’ are Zionist not anti-racist ones.

In Yad Vashem’s sanitised world we learn nothing about Zionist collaboration with the Nazis. Nor do we learn about how the Zionist leaders made every effort to sabotage rescue schemes where the destination was not Palestine. Or how the Zionists undermined the Jewish Boycott of Nazi German and instead did their best to ensure that the Nazi regime was not destabilised.

In his book Zionism and anti-Semitism in Nazi Germany, Francis Nicosia, Professor of Holocaust Studies at Vermont University and himself a Zionist states that:

the police authorities were entirely satisfied by 1938 that Zionism had become the dominant political force among those Jews who remained in Germany (p.123)

Yad Vashem doesn’t ask why no Zionist Congress before 1939 condemned the Nazi attacks on Jews or why the Nazi state viewed the Zionists in Germany as the good, ‘racial’ Jews and why the Zionist Federation of Germany consciously used their favoured status to try and displace the existing non-Zionist leadership.

Still less do we find out why the heads of the Jewish Desks in the Gestapo  were allowed to attend their conferences and use the German Jewish delegation as their proxies?

Eichmann attended the 1937 Zionist Congress  in Zurich and his predecessor, Baron von Mildenstein attended the 1935 Congress in Lucerne. Nor do they ask why Eichmann visited the Zionists in Palestine alongside Haganah and Gestapo double-agent Feivel Polkes before the British expelled them.

What we do know is that there is no more ardent supporters of the traditional Jewish leadership in the ghettos, the Judenrate, than Yad Vashem, even though they were despised by the very Resistance that they purport to support.

Yad Vashem is involved in constructing an utterly false version of Zionism’s role in the holocaust. It doesn’t mention the letter that the Zionist Federation of Germany wrote to Hitler on June 21, (which is published in Lucy Dawidowicz’s Holocaust Reader). The letter spoke about how

On the foundation of the new state, which has established the principle of race... fruitful activity for the Fatherland is possible’

In Yad Vashem’s version of history Zionists aren’t collaborators but resistance fighters. The fact that two out of every three members of the Judenrate (Jewish Councils) which rounded up Jews for the death camps were Zionists passes them by. Yad Vashem has a very important role.  Rewriting the history of the holocaust in order that the Israeli state can justify its apartheid and  genocidal policies. 

It is no small task and I know that readers of my blog will be sensitive as to how enormous this undertaking is. Because of Yad Vashem's determination to ensure that Holocaust history fits their preconceived ideological framing, Yad Vashem has had to reject a number of books that they might have published which any holocaust institute worthy of the name would have grasped with 2 hands.

The first such was Raul Hilberg's The Destruction of the European Jews. First published in 1961 and updated since it remains the most comprehensive history of the holocaust. Even Yad Vashem's academic advisor, Professor Yehuda Bauer was forced to admit it is 'unsurpassed'. It is not for nothing that Yad Vashem is incapable of producing a general and comprehensive history of the Holocaust.

Hilberg, who became the Professor of Holocaust History at Vermont University, saw the Judenrate as an instrument of the Nazis who were essential to the implementation of the Final Solution. Yad Vashem didn't appreciate such an analysis since two-thirds of the Judenrate were Zionists!

Likewise Yad Vashem didn't appreciate Hilberg's dismissal of Jewish Resistance during the Holocaust as minor as Zionist history consciously magnifies it and on occasion invents it in order to provide itself with a retrospective justification and back story.

When it came to the escape of Rudolf Vrba and Alfred Wetzler from Auschwitz in April 1944 Yad Vashem decided that the best thing to do was to ignore them. Not only were they not Zionists but they came into conflict with Zionist collaborator, Rudolf Kasztner who, in the words of Israeli Judge  Benjamin Halevi in 1955, 'sold his soul to Satan' when he agreed a deal with Eichmann for a train out of Hungary for 1684 of the Zionist/Jewish elite in return for silence about where the deportation trains were heading.

Kasztner, who was the plaintiff in a libel trial in Israel in 1954 when accused of collaboration, rapidly turned into the de-facto defendant. When Israel's second government led by Moshe Sharrett decided to appeal the verdict of the first trial, that Kasztner was a collaborator, it promptly fell. Kasztner has nonetheless been rehabilitated by Yad Vashem. 

No matter that Kasztner’s deal with Eichmann led to the truth of Auschwitz being kept from Hungary’s 700,000 Jews resulting in nearly 2/3 of them being deported to their deaths. This is a minor matter.  What is important is that his deal with Eichmann saved 1600 Zionist and Jewish leaders. The fact that he went to Nuremberg after the war to provide testimony for major Nazi war criminals is erased from history.

Suffice to say YV wouldn't publish Vrba's memoirs 'I cannot forgive'. In fact they were determined to erase Vrba and Wetzler's very names from Yad Vashem. It is with difficulty that one could find any mention of them until, the late 1990's when Ruth Linn, Professor of Education at Haifa University, began a campaign in their favour. At one point Yehuda Bauer called Linn an 'anti-Zionist'.  There is no worse insult in the Zionist dictionary than that!!

Suffice to say Yad Vashem weren't interested in the history of the Warsaw Ghetto Revolt by its last Commander, Marek Edelman. Edelman's misfortune was being a member of the anti-Zionist Bund and a supporter of the Palestinian resistance.

In the words of Daniel Blatman, an Israeli holocaust scholar, Yad Vashem is a 'diplomatic laundromat for every fascist and anti-Semite who darkens its doors.' And there have been a lot of them – Trump,  Brazil’s Bolsonaro, the Philipenes Duterte and assorted neo-Nazis from Germany and Austria.

In 1976 South Africa’s Prime Minister, John Vorster, who had been interned during the war because he was a member of the neo-Nazi Afrikaner Broederbond and Ossewa Brandwag, visited Israel as a guest of the Israeli Labor Party government. Naturally he was taken on a tour of Yad Vashem. 

Israel Shahak, a survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto and Bergen-Belsen  wrote

Of the Yad Vashem… theatre, I do not wish to speak, at all. It, and its vile exploiting, such as honouring South Africa collaborators with the Nazis, are truly beneath contempt. 

Zohar Neumann of YV wrote to me just before Xmas begging for money in order that they could counter those who deny that the Holocaust occurred. Of course there are a few political flat earthers but they are nothing as compared with Zionist genocidaires.

Zohar told me that ‘the urgency to act has never been greater’. I agree but it’s not the few people who deny what happened between 1939 and 1945 who are the problem but those who deny that there is a holocaust happening barely 20 miles away from where Yad Vashem is based, which itself is built on stolen Palestinian land in Jerusalem.

The problem is, as I explained to Zohar, Yad Vashem is on the side of today’s holocaust deniers – the Keir Starmers and Joe Bidens of this world who not only deny that there is a holocaust happening but actively support it by sending the Israeli state more weapons to kill more Palestinians.

When 50 holocaust researchers asked Yad Vashem to condemn the genocidal statements made by Israeli politicians, military and other public figures, including Israeli government ministers, Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israeli President Herzog, its Chair Dani Dayan refused.

Instead Dayan asserted that the Israeli army was not conducting a genocide but was acting ‘within the constraints Hamas imposes on us to comply with the proper moral standards and the laws of war.’

Dayan himself illustrates everything I have described above. He was   Secretary-General of the fascist anti-Arab Tehiya party, and a candidate to the Knesset on its list in the Israeli legislative elections in 1988 and 1992. 

Dayan was also on the Executive of the settler Yesha Council, which is a kind of government for West Bank settlers. Unsurprisingly in 2015 Brazil rejected him as Israel’s nomination as its Ambassador because of his fascist credentials. Clearly Dani Dayan is an excellent choice to run Yad Vashem!

One can only assume that support for the destruction of Gaza’s hospitals, universities and extermination of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are what passes for high moral standards at Yad Vashem.

Dayan told those who suggested that Yad Vashem say something about the holocaust in Gaza that:

the outrageous statements you cited do not express the moral position of the very large majority of the Israeli public or the IDF and its commanders.

This is the same Israeli army which is busy torturing to death prisoners, raping to death doctors and running over hundreds of Palestinians with tanks. Clearly what Yad Vashem considers a ‘moral position’ is not one shared by most civilised people.

Ironically Dayan is teaching us a lesson, which is how senior Nazis were also able to justify to themselves and live with the holocaust. 

I therefore wrote a letter in response to Zohar which is below the one from Zohar. Despite not contributing a penny farthing to the appeal, Zohar wrote me a gushing thank you letter!!  Clearly these PR merchants don’t care about anything except the bottom line!

Thank you for your email asking me to make a financial contribution towards your appeal. 

There is a genocide, or a holocaust if you prefer, taking place in Gaza even as I write. The similarities with the Nazi holocaust of Jews, Roma and the Disabled is all too obvious. There is an exterminationist mentality in Israel today. 

'Finish them off' is Israel's most popular car bumper sticker.  'Two nice Jewish boys' Israel's oldest and most popular podcast broadcast a program saying how hosts Naor Meningher and Eytan Weinstein would press a button and wipe out the Palestinians without a second's thought. In defending their stance, they claimed that their views reflect mainstream Israeli sentiment. 

These nice Jewish boys would also erase the whole population of the West Bank too. 

Yoav Gallant when opening Israel's war on the civilians of Gaza called the Palestinians 'human animals' the very same term that Heinrich Himmler used to SS Generals on 4 October 1943 at Posen when justifying the extermination of the Jews. 

Israeli government ministers, e.g. Netanyahu's comparison of the Palestinians with Amalek, have used genocidal language about the Palestinians. In this case a call to treat the Palestinians as the ancient Hebrew tribes supposedly treated the tribe of Amalek, when they wiped out every man, woman & child. 

Influential Israelis have even justified the wiping out of Palestinian children using the same arguments as Himmler on 6 October 1943, also at Posen (Posnan). E.g. Rabbi Eliyahu Mali, of the Kiryat Moshe Yeshivah, who said on 7 March 2024 that: 

"Today's terrorists are the children of the prior [military] operation that left them alive. The women are essentially the ones who are producing the terrorists," he said, adding that when someone comes to kill you, you should be quick to kill them. "It's not only the 14- or 16-year-old boy, the 20- or 30-year-old man who takes up a weapon against you but also the future generation. There's really no difference,"  

Compare this with Himmler's remarks 

‘I did not assume to have the right to exterminate the men… and have the avengers personified in the children to become adults for our children and grandchildren.’ 

Perhaps you can spot a difference between the two? Naturally the Israeli Police recommended that no charges be brought against Mali but if he had been an Israeli Palestinian they would have been arrested, beaten up and charged months ago. 

You say in your begging letter that you want to:

commemorate, educate, and preserve the truth of the Holocaust (thus)...  ensuring the lessons of the Holocaust remain a beacon of truth for generations to come  

Perhaps Yad Vashem or you can tell me what these lessons of the Holocaust are?  Are they universal or do they only apply to Jews? Is opposition to genocide and the extermination of whole peoples a principle or does it only relate to Jews?  What are you preserving the truth and commemorating the Holocaust for? Is it only to preserve Jewish racial supremacy? 

Surely one of the lessons of the Holocaust is that all peoples, be they German, Jewish or Arab can, if the circumstances are right, become genocidaires. There is nothing special about which ethnicity/religion one belongs to.  Racism is not something that we inherit biologically. It is a product of the societies we live in and Israel is, as many of us have argued, an apartheid, Jewish Supremacist State in exactly the same way that Nazi Germany or South Africa was. 

The reality is that Yad Vashem, throughout its 71 years existence, has set its face against drawing any universal lessons from the Holocaust.  You have remembered the Holocaust in order that others can repeat it, as is now happening with Israel. You were even established next to the village of Deir Yassin which Zionist militias wiped out yet you fired a guide, Itamar Shapira, for pointing out this fact to visitors. 

The fact that an exterminationist and racist mentality pervades in Israel is proof in itself that you have failed.  You commemorate the holocaust, not in order to warn against the dangers of racism but in order to justify them. 

Not once have you condemned or protested against Israel's many anti-Arab laws. Nor have you protested against the genocide in Gaza that has led to a quarter of a million Palestinians at least being killed. Genocide is only wrong when Jews are the victims. This is the Zionist mentality that you propagate. 

You remind me of when Ha'aretz journalist Nir Gontarz rang Yad Vashem and asked them to publicly condemn Netanyahu’s attempt to deport 60,000 African refugees from Israel because they were threatening its racial identity. The 'crime' of these refugees was being neither White nor Jewish. Gontarz described what happened next: 

One after the other of the senior staff there, including Mr. Avner Shalev [the director], slammed the phone down on me when I asked to speak to them... I asked them this morning to remove from their database the details I gave them in the past about my family. (Ha'aretz 24.1.18)

Yad Vashem serves no useful purpose. As Professor Yehuda Elkana, himself an Auschwitz survivor, wrote in March 1988 in Ha'aretz, it is better to forget the Holocaust than allow its memory to be used to justify further racism and genocide.

You will not be surprised to learn that I will not be contributing a penny farthing to your appeal. Whatever spare money I have is going to relief in Gaza.
