Last Saturday Brighton & Hove Palestine Solidarity Campaign held a large protest at Brighton’s Clocktower against the Genocide in Gaza and sure enough about a dozen members of Jews4Genocide and assorted Christian Fascists held a counter-protest.

For some reason my presence seemed to unsettle them. Perhaps its because they expect all Jews to be racist supporters of genocide. One of the Zionists, affectionately known as the poisonous dwarf who is a regular attendee seemed particularly enraged by my presence. So much so that she took to shouting through a loud hailer that I wasn’t Jewish having already informed people that my father was a rabbi! Intelligence isn't their strongest card.

It’s an interesting argument that Miss Hitler makes. I’m not sure who gave her the power to decide who is and is not Jewish. Originally it was god who made these decisions. But then again most of the Zionists think they are god anyway. 

The last person who thought he had that power to decide who was  Jewish or not was Hitler. He used it to make 340 first degree Mischlinge (mixed race Jews with 2 Jewish grandparents) into Aryans. In fact the Nazis were very good at deciding who was and was not Jewish. In Israel too the question that has dogged them for 77 years has been 'who is a Jew'. So I guess it all made sense.

However Miss Hitler does have god on her side, or at least the political establishment, who insist that the only Jews that who count are racist, genocidal Zionists who support apartheid. Anti-Zionist Jews and Jews with a conscience are invisible because we don’t serve their narrative. We aren't a useful alibi for imperialism and its atrocities. So in that sense yes we are not ‘real Jews’.  Because today to be fully Jewish you have to be a racist.

Although Miss Hitler and her band from Jews4Genocide were adamant that there was no genocide in Gaza the main component of the Zionist counter-picket was a bunch of Christian Zionists or rather Christian fascists. Christian Zionists want nothing more than a genocide, the bigger the better.

Because in their Millenarian and eschatological fantasies until all the Jews are killed in the battles of Armageddon there won't be any second coming of Christ and they won't rapture to heaven. So its all a bit of a theological confusion when they deny there's a genocide when the Bible (at least the bits they read) tell them that they need a genocide, the bigger the better.

One of them Daniel took offence at my suggestion that if he’d been around 90 years ago then he and his friends would, like the German Christians, have been ardent Nazis. Because when the Nazis took power there also formed a German Reich Church which barred what were called Christian Jews from their churches (these were Jews who had converted to Christianity but who, in the eyes of the Nazis, were still Jewish racially.

There were no more ardent Nazis than German Protestants who even denied Jesus' Jewish origins. Apparently he was an Aryan!

I also pointed out to Daniel that the countries that were most enthusiastic about the Holocaust were the Christian nationalist countries of Slovakia, Croatia and Romania. Slovakia was the first to deport its Jews having asked the Nazis to take them off their hands. It was headed by a Catholic priest, Father Tiso.

Croatia was the only Nazi occupied country to have its own extermination camp, Jasenovac, largely run by Catholic priests. Its main victims were Serbs and Muslims as well as Jews and Gypsies.

Romania killed half of its 600,000 Jews. It was so enthusiastic that the Nazi Governor of  Poland, Hans Frank, remarked that whereas the Nazis practiced surgery they practised butchery. Again it was a Christian nationalist state and the most ardent butchers were the Iron Guard or Legion of the Archangel St. Michael.

As Israel slaughters its way through Gaza, killing an estimated 200,000 our ‘Christians’ insist there is no genocide. The latest Israeli atrocity was the massacre of 15 Red Cross workers.  As is normally the case Israel lied, lied and lied again. They said that the ambulances had approached ‘suspiciously’ however footage on the mobile phone of a murdered worker showed that the ambulances had their headlights on. The workers together with the ambulances were buried hurriedly in a shallow grave. Israel is not even a good liar but for that matter neither is Starmer, which is why he likes them so much.

In this instance Israel was caught out lying and because even for the West the murder of Red Cross workers is a red line, there has been justifiable outrage.  But this atrocity is just one of thousands. Every hospital has been attacked, bombed and in most cases destroyed. The lie is that they were Hamas bases but a moment’s though shows that that must be a lie. The command and control centres are in the tunnels underground not in hospitals.

The fact that there isn’t one photograph of a Hamas combatant firing out of a hospital shows the lie to be just that. But if your intention is to completely destroy Palestinian society as the precursor to ethnic cleansing and Zionist settlement then the attack on hospitals, universities and all aspects of Palestinian society makes sense.

The reality is that Israel barred the media because it wanted to get away with atrocity after atrocity without being called to account. In that it has been helped by Starmer, Scholtz and Presidents Biden and Trump. There is no war crime and no atrocity that Israel has not committed and which our war criminal political class, aided by the BBC and mass media, has not been prepared to turn a blind eye to.

The biggest lie is that it is a war against Hamas as if that justifies bombing schools and hospitals, mosques and churches. Hamas are called terrorists but the real terrorists are Israel itself and those who arm it in the West. Hamas by comparisons are angels.

But Jews4Genocide, Miss Hitler and Brighton’s assorted ‘Christian’ Fascists see the shedding of Palestinian blood as something to be supported in their absurd denial that there is a genocide. Just as centuries ago millions of American natives were slaughtered by Christian soldiers.

But they are not alone. Starmer, who previously  argued at the International Court of Justice that Srebenica where 8,000 died was a genocide still continues to deny that Gaza is a genocide. And where are all the Holocaust memorialisation organisations like the misnamed Holocaust Education Trust?  They talk about learning the lessons of the Holocaust but what they really mean is giving uncritical support to the Genocidal Apartheid of Israel.

Just as these ‘Christians’ support the holocaust in Gaza so their co religionists 80+ years ago supported and indeed participated in the Nazi holocaust.

Even the Nazis Didn’t Murder Red Cross Workers & Bomb Hospitals, Schools & Ambulances - Israel’s Execution of 15 Red Crescent & Aid Workers Marks a New Low

It was a chance remark at the 2019 Palestine Expo Conference in London that so enraged the Zionists. I was speaking from the floor after having been asked to clarify a point someone had made about Ha’avara, the Zionist trade agreement with the Nazis. I explained that for the Zionists, the rise of Hitler had been a golden opportunity which they seized with both hands. I said that

However I did not envisage that the Israeli state would sink to the levels of depravity, sadism and cruelty that we have seen since October 7^th where Israeli government ministers take pleasure in trying to outdo each other in their declarations of how cruel they can be.

Israel’s Fascist Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich complained last August that

“No one in the world will allow us to starve 2 million people, even though it might be justified and moral in order to free the hostages.”

Not to be outdone the deputy speaker of the Knesset, Nissim Vaturi, called for the separation of children from their mothers and the killing of adults in Gaza. During an interview with Kol BaRama radio, Nissim Vaturi called Palestinians “subhumans”.

Now that Israel is actually starving Gaza’s Palestinians, having blocked all aid shipments for a month, none of the imperialist powers is saying anything.

It was the Nazi Governor-General of Poland’s General Government, Hans Frank, who declared a policy of death by hunger. 80,000 Jews in Warsaw and 45,000 in Lodz died, not from deportation but starvation.

But even the Nazis allowed some food into the ghettos. Israel for the past month has allowed no food or medicine or fuel into Gaza. This is a war crime yet the Western governments say nothing, see nothing and hear nothing. That miserable apology for a human being Starmer can only refer to 7 October, the revolt of the slaves.

The position of the German government is more understandable. Having been involved in 4 genocides so far (Maji Maji, Herero/Nama, Armenian & the Nazi Holocaust) it is no surprise that they are funding and arming Israel’s genocide. After all there isn’t a genocide that the German State hasn’t smiled upon. But what of the silence of the rest of Europe?

From the very start Israel had a simple policy. It was to destroy all traces of Palestinian civilisation and society in Gaza. According to Israel, every hospital, school, mosque, church and university that they have bombed have been Hamas ‘command and control’ bases. If you believe that then I have a bridge to sell you.

Israel’s lies have been just that.  If Hamas has any command and control centers then they will be located underground in the tunnels not in hospital wards.  But western imperialism and the United States, which committed the same war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, was more than prepared to accept Israel’s lies.

The fact that not one Hamas fighter has been photographed firing out of a hospital is proof in itself of Israel’s lies. One can only imagine what the reaction would be if Russia started making the same claims in Ukraine.

It was no surprise that after having targeted journalists, health, UN and humanitarian aid workers that Israel would murder 8 Red Crescent and 6 civil defence workers as well as one UNWRA employee. UNWRA after all has been declared a ‘terrorist’ organisation so why not kill its employees?

But we should reflect.  Not even Nazi Germany targeted ambulances, Red Cross workers or hospitals. Even Nazi Germany respected the Geneva Convention in regard to captured soldiers (Russians excepted) and didn’t torture them to death.

Nazi Germany is rightly condemned for its extermination of 6 million Jews as well as millions of others. It is well known that poison gas was used to murder many of these.  What is not known is why this was so.

The first mass killings of Jews took place in the wake of the invasion of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941 when four killing squads of SS men, the Einsatzgruppen, were sent in the rear of the German army to murder Jews and Communists.

These killings usually took place on the outskirts of towns and the victims were forced to dig their own graves and undress before they were shot. The reason that this method of murder, at least 1 million were killed this way, did not continue was because of its effect on the SS men.

SS Obergruppenfuehrer Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski told Himmler that: ‘These men were now finished for the rest of their lives: they would either be neurotics or savages….’ The SS established a mental institution in the East by November 1941 for men suffering from the effects of murdering women and children.

It was then that the Nazis began experimenting in other ways to kill Jews and other undesirables. Arthur Nebe, the head of the Criminal Police who became head of Einsatzgruppe B, was given permission by Himmler to try out dynamite on the residents of  a mental asylum. His Wikipedia  entry describes how

One of the bunkers was loaded with explosives and 24 mental patients were put into it. Nebe gave the signal to detonate, but the resultant explosion failed to kill the patients. Several of them emerged from the bunker covered in blood and screaming loudly. Thereupon more explosives were brought up, the wounded patients were forced back into the bunker, and a second explosion finally finished the job. The bunker had become quiet and parts of bodies could be seen hanging from nearby trees

It was this that led on to the use of gas, firstly carbon monoxide and then Zyklon-B. One suspects that if the Nazis had had access to the high powered explosives and bombs that the Americans have supplied Israel with, then they may well have decided to bomb the Jewish ghettoes instead.  

Israel has embarked on a policy of extermination coupled with deliberate starvation and destruction of water sources, hospitals, schools and just about any form of shelter. Hence their murder of the Red Crescent and other workers and their deliberate firing on ambulances. Today, as International Law is rendered impotent there is no war crime that the Israeli military is not capable of.

We have been here before. In April 2024 Israel deliberately killed 7 World Food Kitchen workers who had supplied their coordinates to the Israelis beforehand. On the pretext of targeting a Hamas fighter Israel picked off one vehicle after another until it murdered the lot.  The world was outraged but that outrage didn’t extend to the mass murder of Palestinians.

Even supposing that Israel was targeting ‘terrorists’ is the Israeli army be entitled to bomb a hospital to kill them? Just imagine your local hospital. Someone is on the rampage there with a gun. Is the army entitled to destroy the whole hospital to kill one person?  Yet that is Israel’s excuse.

It is clear beyond all doubt that it is not Hamas but Israel that is the terrorist state and that the West is aiding its terrorism. We only need to contrast Hamas’ treatment of the Israeli hostages with Israel’s torture of Palestinian hostages.

We should ponder on the fact that on April 24, 1945, when Soviet troops liberated a Berlin hospital, they discovered, two years after Goebbels had declared Berlin Judenrein, that there was a Jewish hospital, where Jewish doctors and nurses had treated Jewish patients throughout the war. Some 800 Jews survived.

Unlike all of Gaza’s hospitals it hadn’t been bombed or shelled. That is why it is correct to say that the Israeli state is now a fitting successor to Nazi Germany and that it harbours exactly the same exterminationist mentality as the Waffen SS who ran the extermination and concentration camps. The main difference is that whereas the majority of the Israeli Jewish people consider Palestinians to be subhuman, in Germany it was only a minority who held to these views.

That was why all the extermination camps – Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec, Chelmno and Maidenek - were situated on Polish soil. The vast majority of Germans were unaware of what was taking place in their name. The same cannot be said of Israeli Jews who are well aware of what is happening in Gaza even if they pretend to the contrary.

And that is why  I was perfectly correct to describe Israel as Hitler’s Bastard Offspring.

Meet Nicola Doward - the Head Teacher at Stretford High School who attempted to steal the money intended for Palestinians

The students of Stretford High School decided that they would get together to raise funds for the Palestinian victims of Israel’s genocidal bombing of Gaza. The Head Teacher, Nicola Doward decided otherwise. The funds would be split between those who murdered and those who were killed.

Let us recall what started the attack on Gaza. It began in Sheikh Jarrar in East Jerusalem. Palestinian refugees who have lived there since 1948, for 73 years, found that they were subject to legal proceedings under the Legal and Administrative Matters Law 1970 to evict them because the properties were originally owned by Jews who fled to Israel when Jerusalem was partitioned.

This is part of the Master Plan to ‘Judaise’ Jerusalem and ensure it has a large Jewish majority. See Systematic dispossession of Palestinian neighborhoods in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan by Israel’s Peace Now.

However the 45,000 Palestinians who fled West Jerusalem cannot evict the Jews who took over their homes. Why? Because Israel is a Jewish state and it is also why it is a racist state.

Israeli Police have since been laying siege to Sheik Jarrar and acting with vicious brutality. On Saturday the veteran Al Jazeera reporter, Givara Budeiri, was arrested for the crime of reporting. During her arrest she was kicked and beaten and suffered a broken arm.

There was the attack on worshippers at Al Aqsa mosque. There was no equivalent invasion of a Jewish synagogue by Palestinian protestors. This was totally one sided and relates to the continuous attempts by Jewish settlers to encroach on Al Aqsa Mosque. Their desire is to demolish the mosque and build a Third Temple on the site.

Imagine if Iranian police, firing stun grenades and sponge-tipped bullets, which have taken the eyes of 3 Palestinians out, were to invade a Jewish synagogue in Tehran. The cries of ‘anti-Semitism’ would resound far and wide. Yet the White House, Keir Starmer et al said nothing.

This is the background to the firing of rockets from Gaza, though most of them are just fire crackers. Just 12 Israelis died, of whom 2 were Israeli Arabs and two Thai workers. Jews have air raid shelters in Israel unlike non-Jews. At least 265 Palestinians were murdered by ‘precision’ bombings, including 67 children. 22 Palestinians were murdered in the West Bank where there has been a reign of terror.

This is the background to Doward’s decision to steal money collected for the Palestinians. Doward has explained her actions on Facebook and on the school’s website. She says it is untrue:

i.              ‘That I have donated money raised by the school to 2 charities: 'one supporting Palestine, the other supporting Israel'…. We are donating the money to ONE charity: Red Cross Occupied Palestinian Territories and Israel Crisis Appeal.’

This is dishonest. The Red Cross itself says that it is

‘supporting the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross and our partner organisations the Palestine Red Crescent, and Magen David Adom in Israel.’

In other words it is going to support both the Palestinians and their killers. Israel does not need assistance. None of its hospitals were bombed. Israeli bombing deliberately targeted Palestinian hospitals, schools and clinics in Gaza. This included Gaza’s only COVID testing clinic. The one hospital they did not bomb Al Shifa had the roads to it destroyed preventing ambulances reaching it. Israel took care to kill as many doctors as possible. Dr Ayman Abu al-Auf, Shifa head of internal medicine and head of its coronavirus response.

ii.           Nicola Doward says that ‘people who want to sow seeds of hate will not deter us.’ The only hateful person is Ms Doward. The Israeli charity Magen David Adom, the Israeli Red Cross, is a thoroughly racist organisation. It has a history, when attending to the shooting of Palestinian ‘terrorists’ i.e. civilians who resist the occupation of only attending to the Israeli wounded not Palestinians. This includes Palestinian children.

Amazingly in 2012 MDA set up a religious ethics committee headed by Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Chief Rabbi of Safed. Eliyahu is a vicious racist who in 2010 issued an edict forbidding Jews in Safed to rent homes to Arabs. Even worse he stated that MDA must refuse to treat wounded ‘terrorists’ (for which read Palestinians) and if necessary should poison their food in prison. Rabbi Eliyahu also advocated the hanging of Palestinian children yet MDA saw fit to appoint him nonetheless.

iii.        Jonathan Cook, a former Guardian Reporter and winner of the Martha Gelhorn award, reported that:

There is mounting evidence that Israeli ambulance crews are withholding treatment from Palestinians injured during a wave of attacks over the past six months, according to rights groups.

Physicians for Human Rights in Israel, a medical watchdog group, found that wounded Palestinians had been left untreated for as long as two hours.

In some cases, medical teams are suspected of failing to tend to the injuries of suspected attackers as revenge, in the expectation that they will die from their wounds….

Physicians for Human Rights (an Israeli body) accused Israel’s leading medical bodies – the Israeli Medical Association, which lays down ethical codes, and Magen David Adom, which supervises ambulance services – of ignoring the evidence it has collected of such abuses.

Ha'aretz, a liberal Israeli paper asked Why Wasn't the Hurt Palestinian Assailant Treated? it went on to say that

‘Footage of terror attacks show Israeli medical staff standing by as Palestinian assailants lie wounded on the ground; the incidents put the national rescue service, which officially isn't meant to operate in the territories, in an embarrassing position.’ As one Israeli medic said on Twitter

‘“To all who ask, when I got to the scene today in Jaffa Gate, I helped the wounded [Israelis], but not the hateful terrorist, although he suffered more critical wounds.”

All Palestinians who resist the occupation are routinely called ‘terrorists’.

Dr. Tslil Regev writing in Israel’s +972 Magazine described how:

The video clip released Thursday of an Israeli soldier shooting in the head an incapacitated Palestinian man, who had stabbed and wounded a separate soldier, doesn’t leave much room for speculation. Maybe it’s because I’m a doctor, but when I watched the video I couldn’t take my eyes off the Magen David Adom (MDA) medical team at the scene — treating the wounded soldier, completely ignoring the man lying wounded on the street, evacuating the soldier in an ambulance, and then boom. A murder.

Doward’s statement went on to say that:

The appeal will help provide medical and humanitarian assistance in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank including East Jerusalem, supporting the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross and our partner organisations the Palestine Red Crescent, and Magen David Adom in Israel.

Ms Doward equates the Israeli superpower with its victims who have been under occupation for over 70 years (including Israeli Palestinians). Doward goes on to say that the ‘Red Cross is a 'neutral, impartial, independent humanitarian Movement' who 'respond when people need us, no matter who or where they are.’

This is nonsense. The Red Cross was set up to provide help for imprisoned soldiers, not civilians. It refuses to condemn the racism of MDA and Israeli soldiers who, according to Medical Aid for Palestine deliberately delay Palestinian ambulances at check points.

The Red Cross never reveals information about human rights abuses which is why the Americans uniquely allowed them access to Guantanamo on condition they remain silent. The Red Cross is trusted by the most brutal regimes for this reason.

Ms Doward is guilty of ‘bothsidism’. Treating the oppressed and oppressor as equals. As Paulo Freire, the famous Brazilian educator and philosopher wrote:

‘Washing one’s hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral.”

Desmond Tutu, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, Archbishop of Johannesburg and hero of the anti-apartheid wrote:

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor”

That is precisely what Doward has done. She has chosen the side of the oppressed, donating money to a racist Israeli organisation which, unlike the Palestinian Red Crescent, is overburdened with money.

Elie Wiesel, an Auschwitz survivor in his speech accepting the Nobel Peace Prize conveyed the same message:

“We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented”

And if Doward is hard of hearing perhaps the words of Martin Luther King Jr. will resonate:

“The hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict…[an individual] who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it” –

In her smug and self-righteous statement Doward said that ‘people who want to sow seeds of hate will not deter us.’ In subverting the desire of her students to help the Palestinians, who are the real victims in favour of a bogus neutrality, it is she who is guilty of hatred. Her liberal piety is neutrality in the face of injustice. Doward has projected her own hate onto others.

The International Committee of the Red Cross

As someone who is Jewish I have never given a penny to the Red Cross and never will.  Why? Because during the Holocaust it refused to give any aid or comfort to the victims of the Nazis until the very end, in Hungary in late 1944. Indeed it was worse than that. It conducted visits to the Thereisenstadt and Auschwitz concentration camps and then gave them a clean bill of health.

The ICRC refused to provide any protection for Jews since they accepted the Nazi designation of them as stateless criminals.[i] According to its President Max Huber they could not be seen to be ‘intruding into the domestic policy’ of the Nazis. 

There were discussions throughout August 1942 about the murder of Jewish civilians yet at the ICRC executive of 14th October 1942 the pro-Nazi former foreign minister of Switzerland, Philip Etter, ‘opposed even the anodyne Huber draft’ calling for the humane treatment of civilians, not even Jews, arguing that it could be interpreted as a violation of neutrality.’ Etter’s view prevailed.[ii] The Dutch Red Cross made no effort to communicate with deported Jews although they did send an ambulance to the Eastern front ‘to comfort the Dutch Waffen-SS volunteers.’ [iii]

The ICRC attitude changed only at the very end of the war. Louis de Jong condemned the IHRC for its ‘almost total lack of concern for the Jews’ disasters.’[iv]

As the US Holocaust Museum details the ICRC allowed itself to be taken in by ‘beautification’ of Thereisenstadt. Just before their visit most inmates were deported to Auschwitz and after the visit more were deported. The ICRC made no attempt to document the names of the inmates or to ensure that those they spoke to were protected.

As Samuel Moyne wrote in the Wall Street Journal Carl Jacob Burckhardt, the effective head of the ICRC,

harbored a traditional anti-Semitism and such hatred of communism that he regarded German Nazism as a bulwark of civilization and a necessary evil. As early as April 1933, the ICRC was receiving desperate letters from inmates of German concentration camps, including one from Dachau pleading: “‘I beg you again in the name of the prisoners—Help! It wasn’t just willfully repeating the Germans’ propaganda that stained the ICRC. Nor was it only the fact that, knowing the Nazis had confirmed their policy of mass extermination of the Jews at the 1942 Wannsee Conference, the ICRC did nothing to intervene. What was more difficult to defend was Burckhardt’s sympathies with and efforts on behalf of Nazi actors after Germany’s defeat. He opposed the Nuremberg trials, labeling them “Jewish revenge.” ... After the Holocaust, the ICRC—by then helmed by Burckhardt—even abetted the flight of Nazis such as Adolf Eichmann and Josef Mengele by providing them with travel papers.
