The Holocaust in Gaza Must Result in Israel’s DeNazification

On Holocaust Memorial Day [HMD], we will be holding the fourth anti-Zionist memorial meeting commemorating the victims of the Nazi holocaust. The victims include, not just Jews but Roma and Sinti, the Disabled, Gays, Russian prisoners-of-war as well as millions of civilians – in particular Russians and Poles.

The official HMD organisation only recognises Jews as victims of the Holocaust. All other categories are relegated to the status of victims of Nazi persecution.

Under the heading genocide today the HMD site mentions a number of genocides such as when UN human rights investigators accused ISIS of committing genocide against the Yazidis. It cites how years of persecution and cultural repression of Uyghur Muslims in China ‘all bear the hallmarks of genocide’.

The HMD also cites how, in Myanmar,

In January 2020 the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Myanmar to take steps to prevent genocide, in a landmark case filed by The Gambia.

There is only one genocide that the HMD does not recognise. This despite the fact that the ICJ, in its order of 26 January 2026, in the case brought by South Africa found that Israel was plausibly committing genocide in Gaza.

The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry went even further. It found, in a report of September 2025 that Israel was committing genocide against the Palestinians.

So although the HMD is happy to quote the ICJ in respect of the Rohinga and UN Human Rights investigators in the case of the Yazidis, it refuses to acknowledge that both the ICJ and the UN have recognised that Israel is committing genocide.

Palestinian victims of genocide are excluded from the HMD commemorations because the purpose of these events is not to combat racism and imperialism but to reinforce Israel’s claim to inherit the memory of the Jewish victims of the holocaust.

The HMD events do not commemorate any genocide that preceded the Nazi genocide. The slave trade, the Herero-Nama and Armenian genocides, which were the precursor of the Nazi holocaust, go unmentioned.

The hypocrisy of the HMD Trust is no surprise. HMD was set up by Tony Blair, who together with George Bush, was responsible for murdering one million Iraqis in an illegal war.

The Holocaust has become integral to the imperialist narrative and a weapon used to support the Israeli state in its ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinians. The reason for this is that Israel is the projection of western power in the oil rich Middle East. According to Alexander Haig, Ronald Reagan’s Secretary of State

Israel constitutes the largest US aircraft carrier that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one US soldier, and is located in a most critical region for US national security.

An accounting by the western imperialist states of their record during the Nazi holocaust is also conspicuous by its absence. Nowhere is any mention made of the United States and UK refusal to admit to their territories all but a handful of Jewish refugees.

Anthony Eden, the British Foreign Secretary, was concerned that if Britain offered to take in Jewish refugees then: ‘Hitler might well take us up on any such offer.’ [Bernard Wasserstein, Britain and the Jews of Europe, p. 168].

The Cabinet Committee on Jewish Refugees sent a memo to the US State Department on 20 January 1943 warning that:

there is a possibility that the Germans or their satellites may change over from the policy of extermination to one of extrusion.

Fortunately for the Committee Hitler never wavered in his commitment to extermination. The obsession with refugees led to the gas chambers yesterday and today the bottom of the English Channel.

A letter sent by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to US Ambassador Winant in London, explained how:

The Foreign Office are concerned with the difficulties of disposing of any considerable numbers of Jews should they be rescued from enemy-occupied territory...’.[Arthur Morse, While Six Million Died, p. 85., Winant to State Department 15.4.43].

The Silence of the Zionist Holocaust Memorial Organisations

Karen Pollock of Britain’s Holocaust Education Trust is typical of the Zionist holocaust industry in her condemnation of the ‘shameful’ comparisons between the Gaza holocaust and the Nazi genocide. To Pollock drawing universal lessons from the holocaust was something to be avoided.

This set the tone for all the other Zionist run holocaust memorial organisations. Despite telling us that we have to learn the lessons of the holocaust, the only lesson they draw is in teaching that we must defend the Israeli state no matter how many Palestinians they slaughter.

Every single international human rights organisation  has concluded that what has happened in Gaza is a genocide – from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Btselem and the UN to the Lemkin Genocide Institute in its coruscating statement condemning the

the persistent efforts by several high-profile German civil society organizations to deny the ongoing genocide in Gaza and to disseminate disinformation and denialist narratives among German political decision-makers.

It was Raphael Lemkin, a Polish Jewish Lawyer, who first coined the word ‘Genocide’ and was largely responsible for the adoption internationally of the Genocide Convention.

When the Los Angeles Holocaust Museum [LAHM] posted a message on Instagram which featured a drawing of a hexagon formed by six linked arms — with the words ‘Never Again’ Can’t Only Mean Never Again For Jews.’ there was a furious backlash from Zionists. The message was interpreted as referring to Gaza. One commentator wrote that

This post is beyond disgraceful. Whoever created, approved, and posted this should be ashamed of themselves. Our ancestors are rolling in their graves.

Two days later, the museum deleted the post and published an apology. The museum issued a new statement:

We recently posted an item on social media that was part of a pre-planned campaign intended to promote inclusivity and community that was easily open to misinterpretation by some to be a political statement reflecting the ongoing situation in the Middle East. That was not our intent.

The LAHM promised to ‘do better’ next time. ‘Never Again’ in the eyes of Zionists excludes the Palestinian victims of Western imperialism. Never Again only applies to Jews.

Every single holocaust museum and institution has refused to recognise, still less condemn, Israel’s genocide or compare what Israel was doing to the Jewish holocaust.

Yad Vashem and the Silence of the Holocaust Historians

The genocide in Gaza posed a difficulty for Yad Vashem, [YV] Israel’s holocaust museum. Established in 1953 YV’s purpose was to formulate a hegemonic narrative of the Holocaust that would accord with the Zionist paradigm.

How could YV condemn the very state that founded it for perpetrating a genocide? According to YV the holocaust occurred, not because of German imperialism and fascism but because of their eternal hatred of Jews.

Central to this was the foundational myth of Israel as a refuge from anti-Semitism, according to which, if Israel had been in existence, then there would have been no holocaust.

What the Zionist narrative didn’t say was that if the Zionist movement had not existed, more Jews would have survived and possibly the Hitler regime itself would have collapsed or been overthrown.

Rather than seeing the Nazi holocaust as the product of German imperialism and fascism, YV posited a mono-causal explanation – anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism explained everything: fascism, anti-communism, eugenics, racial hygiene, lebensraum and anti-modernism.

For Zionism anti-Semitism was caused by the Jews:

Where it [anti-Semitism] does not exist, it is carried by Jews in the course of their migrations. We naturally move to those places where we are not persecuted, and there our presence produces persecution. [Herzl, The Jewish State, pp. 14-15].

YV was never an anti-racist or anti-fascist institution. It was a Zionist organisation. YV has rebuffed many invitations in the past to widen its remit and condemn particularly flagrant examples of Israeli and Zionist racism. It was established next to the site of Deir Yassin, the most famous massacre of the Nakba, yet it doesn’t even acknowledge this fact.

Zionist holocaust history fights against universalising the lessons of the holocaust. The Nazi holocaust is unique and Jews are its sole victims. There is only one lesson of the holocaust that Zionism and YV permit and that is the creation and existence of Israel as a Jewish state. If the Holocaust is unique then no lessons can be drawn.

The fact that the Yishuv, Palestine’s Jewish community, was unable to accept more than a fraction of the Jews in danger during the 1930s was conveniently forgotten.

In his address to the 20th Zionist Congress in August 1937, Chaim Weizmann recalled being asked whether Palestine could accommodate Europe's Jews. He told the delegates that

The old ones will pass, they will bear their fate or they will not. They are dust, economic and moral dust, in a cruel world... Two millions, and perhaps less (will survive) ... We have to accept it.

Zionism was an obstacle to the rescue of Jews. The Zionist movement repeatedly complained that a focus on saving Jewish refugees from the Nazis was a distraction from the main task, which for them was building a Jewish state.

In January 1933 David Ben-Gurion warned that:

‘Zionism… is not primarily engaged in saving individuals’ and that if there was ‘a conflict of interest between saving individual Jews and the good of the Zionist enterprise, we shall say the enterprise comes first.’ [Biography, The Burning Ground, p.855]

YV had no intention of changing when Israel was becoming openly genocidal. When 50 holocaust researchers asked YV to condemn the genocidal statements made by Israeli politicians, military and other public figures, including Israeli government ministers and Prime Minister Netanyahu himself, its Chairman, Dani Dayan refused.

Dayan asserted that the Israeli army was not conducting a genocide but was acting ‘within the constraints Hamas imposes on us to comply with the proper moral standards and the laws of war.’ One can only assume that the complete destruction of Gaza’s civilian and health infrastructure, to say nothing of the extermination of thousands of Palestinians, are what passes for high moral standards at YV.

Dayan told those who suggested that YV say something about the holocaust in Gaza that:

the outrageous statements you cited do not express the moral position of the very large majority of the Israeli public or the IDF and its commanders.

Yet all the evidence was that the statements cited were very much the position of the IDF and Israeli Jews. The IDF was putting those statements into practice in Gaza whilst he was speaking. YV refused to acknowledge the clear evidence that the extermination of the Palestinians in Gaza was supported by a majority of Israeli Jews.

A March 2025 poll by Penn State University found that 47% of Jewish Israelis agreed with the idea that the Israeli army, when conquering a city, should kill all of its inhabitants, referencing the biblical conquest of Jericho. The poll found that 65% of Israeli Jews believe a modern-day version of Amalek exists and that 93% believe the biblical commandment to “blot out the memory of Amalek” is still relevant. In other words over 60% of Israeli Jews supported exterminating the Palestinians of Gaza.

Another poll from Israeli research group, the aChord Center, found that 76% of Jewish Israelis either fully or partially agreed with the suggestion that none of Gaza's remaining pre-war population were innocent.

The IDF that Dayan praised so highly was the same IDF which set up torture camps for Palestinians, raped to death doctors and which used Palestinian children as target practice.

A poll from Jerusalem’s Hebrew University in June 2025 showed that contrary to Dayan, 64% of Israelis agreed that there are ‘no innocents in Gaza.’ When Israeli Arabs, 92% of whom opposed the statement, are removed then it meant that three out of every four Israeli Jews supported genocide.

Dayan was Secretary-General of the fascist anti-Arab Tehiya party and a candidate on its list to the Knesset in the Israeli elections in 1988 and 1992.

Dayan was also Chairman of the Executive of the Yesha Council, a federation of Jewish settlements in the West Bank. In 2015 Brazil rejected him as Israel’s Ambassador because of his fascist credentials. It is a fitting commentary on Zionism’s memorialisation of the Nazi holocaust that the Chairman of its holocaust remembrance authority is a fascist.

Where YV led, the world’s holocaust organisations followed. Not one holocaust organisation has condemned Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Not one has declared that the lesson of the Nazi holocaust ‘Never Again’ applied to all people, Jewish and non-Jewish, Palestinians included.

That is why, for the fourth year running, we are holding an anti-Zionist commemoration of the Nazi holocaust. Our aim is to challenge the pro-imperialist events as hypocritical virtue signalling. Amongst our speakers will be two Jewish survivors of the holocaust, Stephen Kapos and Suzanne Weiss

When ex-Israeli Minister Feiglin Said That Just As Hitler Wanted to Expel all Jews the Zionists Want to Expel All Palestinians He Was Telling the Truth

When Zionism During the Holocaust was Published Even Many Anti-Zionists Couldn’t Accept that Israel was a Reflection of the Nazi State - Today all that has changed

John Mearsheimer and the Nazification of Israel

In the autumn of 2022 I brought out the first book on Zionist-Nazi collaboration since Lenni Brenner 40 years ago. I wasn’t to know that a year later Israel was to embark on a genocide that bore remarkable similarity to the Nazi holocaust.

'ERASE All Palestinians' - Popular Israeli Podcasters Claim Most Share Their Genocidal Fantasy

At first people like Owen Jones recoiled against any suggestion that the Zionists had collaborated with the Nazis. In a reply to Asa Winstanley Jones wrote an article ‘No, Jews did not collaborate in their own genocide’ Jones soon found out that the comparisons between the Zionists and the Nazis were true.

The holocaust in Gaza began with the declaration of Defence Minister Yoav Gallant that the Palestinians were ‘human animals’ the very phrase that Himmler had used on 4 October 1943 at Posen about the untermenschen, the lower races.

Comparisons with the Nazi outlook and actions abounded. Prime Minister Netanyahu declared on October 28 that

You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible. And we do remember.

Video. Did Israeli children really sing about annihilating everyone in Gaza?

Israel’s public broadcaster, Kan, broadcast a video of Israeli school children singing ‘The Friendship Song’ which declared that the Palestinians of Gaza should be ‘annihilated’.

Israel’s Labor Zionist President, Isaac Hertzog, stated that

The entire [Palestinian] nation out there that is responsible. It is not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware, not involved.

with the clear implication that they should be wiped out.

Genocidal statements by Government Ministers abounded. South Africa in its application to the International Court of Justice submitted a 500 page document containing multiple genocidal statements by Israeli leaders.

For example Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that

No one in the world will allow us to starve 2 million people, even though it might be justified and moral in order to free the hostages.

In fact Israel had consistently implemented a policy of restricting food aid to the minimum and from March 2025 imposed a total blockade on food and water imports. He went on to say that “Gaza will be entirely destroyed”.

The reality of the Gaza holocaust made Zionism During the Holocaust highly relevant. Calls for the extermination of every last single Palestinian abounded. Israel’s oldest podcast by Two Nice Jewish Boys fantasised about pressing a button and getting rid of every Palestinian in Gaza and the West Bank. Elad Barashi, a famous Israeli television producer even called for the introduction of gas chambers.

Shimon Elkabetz, the chairman of the Israel Film Council explained on Channel i24 News that "With this enemy, it's just like using a lice comb. Just kill them. Just exterminate them."   One can only assume that Elkabetz hadn’t read Hitler’s Mein Kampf where he said of German-Jewish emigrants to America that they were a 'lice-ridden migration.' [p.320, tr. Ralph Manheim]

We have the irony of Israel on the one hand solemnly remembering the extermination of Europe’s Jews during the Holocaust. At the same time they are carrying out the extermination of the Palestinians. This isn’t simply cognitive dissonance. It is old fashioned settler colonialism with the holocaust as its protective shield. Is it any wonder that Tommy Robinson is so enamoured with Israel?

Zionism had stripped the holocaust of any contemporary or universal meaning. This only became apparent to many people after October 7 but it had always been apparent. Israel helped the Guatemalan Junta in the 1980’s to perpetrate a genocide of the Mayan Indians. Israel was the closest ally of the Apartheid state in South Africa. At the same time Israel also instituted a regime of Jewish Supremacy in Israel itself. Beginning with ethnic cleansing, as had Hitler, it ended up with genocide.

One thing that Zionism During the Holocaust had done which Brenner did not do was to focus on the ideological legitimisers of Israeli racism and ethnic cleansing, the holocaust industry.

I showed that these holocaust memorial organisations, because they had posited that the Nazi holocaust of Jews was unique, had depoliticised and ethnicised it. Never Again only meant Jews no one else.

Karen Pollock of Britain’s Holocaust Education Trust condemned the ‘shameful’ comparisons between the holocaust in Gaza and the Nazi genocide. In Pollock’s eyes, drawing universal conclusions from the holocaust was ‘shameful’.

When the Los Angeles Holocaust Museum posted a message on Instagram, the first slide of which featured a drawing of a hexagon formed by six linked arms — with the words ‘Never Again’ Can’t Only Mean Never Again For Jews.’ there was furious response from Zionists. The message was interpreted as referring to the genocide in Gaza. One commentator wrote that

This post is beyond disgraceful. Whoever created, approved, and posted this should be ashamed of themselves. Our ancestors are rolling in their graves.

Two days later, the museum deleted the post and published an apology. Unlike the first Instagram post, the museum blocked people from commenting.

The Los Angeles Holocaust Museum wasn’t alone. Every single holocaust museum and institution has refused to recognise, still less condemn, Israel’s genocide or compare what Israel was doing to the actions of the Nazis.

When 50 holocaust researchers asked Yad Vashem, Israel’s holocaust propaganda museum, to condemn the genocidal statements made by Israeli politicians, military and other public figures, its Chair Dani Dayan refused.

Instead Dayan asserted that the Israeli army was not conducting a genocide but was acting ‘within the constraints Hamas imposes on us to comply with the proper moral standards and the laws of war.’

Dayan himself was Secretary-General of the fascist anti-Arab Tehiya party, and a candidate to the Knesset on its list in the Israeli legislative elections in 1988 and 1992.

Dayan was also on the Executive of the settler Yesha Council, which is the local government for West Bank settlers. Unsurprisingly in 2015 Brazil rejected him as Israel’s nomination as its Ambassador because of his fascist credentials. Clearly Dani Dayan is well suited, from the Zionist standpoint, to run Yad Vashem!

One can only assume that support for the destruction of Gaza’s hospitals, universities and extermination of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are what passes for high moral standards at Yad Vashem.

The first edition of Zionism During the Holocaust was self published. It sold over 5,000 copies. I have now been offered and signed a contract with Verso Books to publish a second edition which will come out in 2027. It will include a new chapter on the Holocaust in Gaza. The book is likely to be very different from the first edition.

In the meantime I have terminated my contract with New Generation Publishers which means that no further copies of the book will be printed.

I have a few copies that I purchased before signing the new contract and if anyone wants to purchase a copy they should contact me at tonygreenstein104@gmail.com. The price will be £12.50 per copy for those in Britain but postage will be about £15 extra for those in Europe and £ 28 extra for those in the United States and Canada.

Last Saturday and Last Night Hundreds of People Marched Against Starvation in Gaza and Left Pots & Pans Outside the Offices of Starmer Clone & MP for Hove, Peter Kyle

Last Sunday 50 Jews & Christians 4 Genocide Danced & Celebrated the Genocide Meeting With a Hostile Reception by Local People

Brighton PSC March Against Starvation in Gaza 27 July 25

Last Saturday hundreds of people took to the streets of Brighton and Hove banging pots and pans, as a reminder of Israel’s starvation of the people of Gaza. We marched from the main shopping centre, Churchill Square to Hove Town Hall. We stopped off at the office of Starmer stooge Peter Kyle where we left our empty pots and pans.

Unlike the Zionist march of 50, half of whom came from London,  the Brighton Palestine Solidarity march was massive stretching all the way down Western Road

Kyle was Vice Chair of Labour Friends of Genocide Israel. People sitting in restaurants applauded us along the way. A contrast with the reception a Zionist march the next day received when people catcalled these vile fascists. People like Heidi Bachram lurked in the shadows and Little Miss Hitler aka Victoria Bhogal led the dancing and singing.

Christians & Jews4Genocide Stage a March in Brighton in Support of Starving Palestinian Children

People were revulsed at these creatures, literally dancing on the graves of Gaza’s children and seeming to take pleasure in the fact that children in Gaza were slowly dying of starvation. It is a famine that Israel is 100% responsible for having maintained a hermetically sealed blockade of Gaza for 3 months.

Brighton's iconic  clocktower where marches often end up

These Zionists are totally amoral rancid creatures. They talk about anti-Semitism but in reality they resemble the Nazis they purport to oppose. Which is probably why leading neo-Nazis like Tommy Robinson and Richard Spencer to say nothing of the Chump himself, as so in love with the ‘Jewish’ State.

James a Christian Fascist Holocaust Denier gets nicked Trying to Disrupt a Sit-in @ Brighton Station

I am copying a long article below by Professor Daniel Blatman, a holocaust historian and researcher at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. It is one of the best I have read on Zionist holocaust denial. He rightly compares it to the Turkish State’s denial of the Armenian holocaust and of course the denial of the Nazi holocaust.

We left a few pots and pans outside Kyle's office to remind him about the starvation of children that he and Sturmer have supported

Netanyahu has openly spoken about letting in the least aid that Israel can get away with. Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Finance Minister and the man responsible more than any for the survival of Israel’s coalition government as well as a ‘proud homophobe’ and self-declared fascist has openly spoken about how ‘moral’ it would be to starve 2 million people.

On Tuesday 17 June, after sending a letter to Starmer and copying in Peter Kyle ‘Kerry’ was arrested after former Councillor and Kyle aide Chris Henry contacted the Police. It was alleged she was anti-Semitic because she was anti-Israel. As if anyone with an ounce of humanity could be anything but hostile to the genocidal Israeli state. It seems that the criticism is getting Kyle down. As for the Police, they seem to think they are messenger boys for Starmer and the Israeli Embassy.

Churchill Sq Demo & March to Peter Killer Kyle MP's Office & Hove Town Hall 26 July 25

What many people find difficult to understand is how those who lay claim to the holocaust as the justification for the very existence of the State of Israel can at one and the same time speak so openly about annihilating and exterminating the Palestinian people. No less than 47% of Israeli Jews, a plurality which becomes a majority if those who believe that the myth of Amalek is relevant today are included, want to see the extermination of the people of Gaza.

Zionists are the modern day Nazis - under Hitler disabled patients were starved to death - Israel has such good role models it's no wonder they collaborated with him at the time

There is also the attempt by the Zionists to counter the pictures of starving Palestinian children by alleging that they were all fake and that the children had ‘underlying health problems’.  Presumably it is fine if a child is ill anyway to deprive them of food too. This was precisely the Nazi attitude to the mentally and physically handicapped.

AUGUST 1 Hundreds Demonstrate Outside Peter 'Killer' Kyle MP Offices in Hove - NO STARVATION IN GAZA

Little Miss Hitler (Victoria Bhogal) Led the Child Killer March of the Zionists

The March of the Zionist Baby Killers 27 July 25

Hitler called them ‘useless eaters’. It is remarkable how the Zionists are following in the footsteps of those who carried out the holocaust of Jews. It is almost as if the Zionists cannot help themselves when they imitate the arguments of those who they purport to oppose.

Prime amongst these genocide denial propagandists is Israeli ‘researcher' David Collier who poses as an independent investigator but is a far-right Zionist. I have footage of him in a debate with David Hirsh and other far-right Zionists in which he refers to Palestinians as ‘it’ and denies there’s any such thing as Palestinian refugees.

In the wake of the Zionists' March for Genocide the local Argus was filled with letters of disgust from those who don't appreciate Jewish holocaust deniers

The Zionists Run Into Public Hostility - They Can't Imagine Why People Don't Like Starving Children

Zionists can only mirror Nazi ideology because they have depoliticised the Nazis and the Holocaust. Instead of economic, political, social and psychological explanations, the Nazis are treated as demonic by the Zionists. They hated Jews because they were Jews. That’s it, no other reasons. They were beyond history.

The Empty Pots and Pans Symbolise the Empty Stomachs in  Gaza - Protest August 1st

The Nazis’ anti-communism, belief that women’s place was in the home, hatred of gays and sexual minorities as well as their contempt for indigenous people, including Arabs, is eliminated. Zionist holocaust historians strip the Nazis of any explanation based on eugenics and the need for racial breeding or improvement.  The best representative of this was Yehuda Bauer of the Hebrew University. For him the only victims of the holocaust were Jews.

This is why all the familiar Nazi phrases about lebensraum (living space) or racial cleansing keep cropping up in Zionist debate and argument. Israeli government ministers have repeatedly talked about ‘cleansing’ Gaza. Racial cleansing was integral to Nazi eugenics and it is equally applicable to Zionist ethnic cleansing.

Zionists Face Public Hostility As They March in Support of Starving Children It Must Be Antisemitism

In her book Eichmann in Jerusalem – The Banality of Evil Hannah Arendt noted the hypocrisy with which the prosecution attacked the Nazi’s Nuremberg Laws of 1935 which stripped German Jews of  German nationality and citizenship. ‘There was certainly something breathtaking’ Arendt wrote

in the naivete with which the prosecution denounced the infamous Nuremberg Laws of 1935 which had prohibited intermarriage and sexual intercourse between Germans and Jews. The better informed among the correspondents were well aware of the irony but they did not mention it in their reports.’

The irony Arendt was referring to was the fact that ‘Israeli  citizens – religious and nonreligious – seemed agreed upon the desirability of having a law which prohibits intermarriage.’ (p.8)

Daniel Blatman in The Victim Identity Israel Built Over Generations Now Fuels Its Denial of Genocide in Gaza, notes as I did in my previous blog, the role of Yad Vashem, Israel’s holocaust museum, in refusing to speak out about the current genocide or indeed say anything about the plethora of genocidal statements that Israeli politicians have made.

Yad Vashem’s only role is to safeguard the memory of the Holocaust as the exclusive property of Jews as its former Chairman, Avner Shalev, admits. No one else died because of their biological inheritance. Only the Jews suffered a genocide. The Roma, the Disabled, the Poles and Russians, are simply invisible in Zionist historiography. Only Jewish blood counts.

This is the victim centred discourse that is at the centre of Zionist justifications for the barbarities in Gaza today. The holocaust of the Jews justifies the holocaust of the Palestinians. And the Holocaust Industry nods its head.

In Britain Karen Pollock of the Holocaust Educational Trust is one of the principal exponents of the idea that the Holocaust or Shoah as Israel calls it, should be reserved solely for Jewish victims of the Nazis. If, God forbid, anyone should include the Palestinians, then that is anti-Semitic in itself.

In an article Holocaust Memorial Day should only be about the Shoah Pollock writes in the Jewish Chronicle (where else?) of ‘our duty to remember the Holocaust’ and warns against

‘attempts to dilute this crucial mission, to make the day less “exclusive”, broadening its scope in a way that risks eroding the uniquely Jewish experience of the Holocaust and to erase antisemitism from the narrative of the day.

In Pollock’s eyes including any other victims of genocide or holocausts is to ‘dilute’ the meaning of holocaust memorial and Holocaust Memorial Day. Why? Because the unique victimhood of Jews in her eyes is a precondition of the victimhood that Israel claims for itself even whilst it  murders and burns alive children in Gaza. The Holocaust has become Israel’s prime justification even whilst Israeli society becomes genocidal en masse.

It is another of life’s ironies that anti-Semitism in Germany was never respectable. Hitler played down his anti-Semitism in the three years leading up his accession to power. The Nazis worked hard to try and convince Germans of the merits of anti-Semitism and never succeeded in fully accomplishing the task of ideological indoctrination.

That is one reason why the Holocaust was kept a close state secret and when Nazi leaders spoke of the extermination of the Jews they used euphemisms such as ‘special measures’ or indeed Final Solution, even amongst themselves. They were never able to justify the annihilation of the Jews and Roma, still less the handicapped openly.

Contrast that with Israelis who openly boast of the delight they take in raping, torturing and murdering Palestinians. Israel has become a genocidal nation, an anti-nation. It is a nation bound only by its hatred of the other. That is why I reject the argument of some Israeli Marxists and Trotskyists that there is a separate Israeli nation alongside the Palestinians.

The Independent reported that Pollock had

made it clear she is particularly angry about the language and symbols on protests against Israel and the war in Gaza following Hamas’s attack on the state on 7 October last year.... Ms Pollock warned that the distortion of language about the Holocaust as a means to attack Israel is putting democratic values at risk.’

Demonstration Outside the Offices of Peter 'Killer' Kyle MP on August 1st

Karen Pollock, like most Zionists, is not endowed with intelligence or rational thinking. When arguments of kith and kin take over your thinking then this encourages sloppy and lazy reasoning. Pointing out that Israelis calling for the extermination of the Palestinians are similar to Nazis who did the same to Jews is putting democracy at risk!! The ability to twist and distort concepts such as democracy to fit in with Jewish Supremacy is the only thing that Zionists like Pollock are skilled at.

Yet if Pollock and Zionism’s propagandists are scribes who repeat cliche’s that they have learnt by rote from an Israeli Embassy crib sheet, words without meaning, then Professor Yehuda Elkana, the former Rector of the Central University in Budapest, (before Netanyahu’s anti-Semitic friend Viktor Orban shut it down) was the opposite. Elkana was a deeply thoughtful man.

Elkana was also a child survivor of Auschwitz. On 2nd March 1988 he wrote a famous article on The Need to Forget the holocaust. Elkana argued that the memorialisation of the holocaust in the way it is done in Israel was endangering not enhancing democracy. He wrote:

Demonstration Outside the Offices of Peter 'Killer' Kyle MP on August 1st

The very existence of democracy is endangered when the memory of the dead participates actively in the democratic process. Fascist regimes understood this very well and acted on it. We understand it today, and it is no accident that many studies of Nazi Germany deal with the political mythology of the Third Reich. Relying on the lessons of the past in order to build the future, exploiting past suffering as a political argument - these mean involving the dead in the political life of the living.

Thomas Jefferson once wrote that democracy and worship of the past are incompatible. Democracy fosters the present and the future. Too much of "Zechor!" (Remember) and an addiction. to the past undermine the foundations of democracy.

The Zionists are now trying to pretend that there's no starvation in Gaza - that all the children dying had 'underlying health conditions' - like the Nazis they are they don't believe those who might already be ill        should be fed - strange that their bones are all showing

Elkana warned against the permanent victim status that fuels the holocaust in Gaza speaking of

a profound existential Angst fed by a particular interpretation of the lessons of the holocaust … that we are the eternal victim. In this ancient belief… I see the tragic and paradoxical victory of Hitler. Two nations, metaphorically speaking, emerged from the ashes of Auschwitz: a minority who assert, this must never happen again, and a frightened and haunted majority who assert, this must never happen to us again.

Demonstration Outside the Offices of Peter 'Killer' Kyle MP on August 1st

There are a number of things we can do practically. One is to rid institutions of the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism which is a device to brand the struggle of the indigenous Palestinians as anti-Semitic. It defames anti-colonial struggles. It says any comparisons between Zionism, Israel and Nazism is automatically anti-Semitic as is any description of the Israeli settler colonial process or the establishment of a ‘Jewish’ state.

Demonstration Outside the Offices of Peter 'Killer' Kyle MP on August 1st

It is no wonder that the British Establishment have taken it to their heart. The Police have adopted it as a means of prosecuting Palestine solidarity activists. What is baffling is how the academic prostitutes who run universities, the Vice-Chancellors who betray the very notion of academic freedom, have adopted this illiterate jumble of words which have no coherent theme apart from an automatic defence of Israel.

The Empty Pots and Pans Symbolise the Empty Stomachs in  Gaza - Protest August 1st

As Stephen Sedley, the Jewish former Court of Appeal Judge wrote in Defining Anti-Semitism, the IHRA being indefinite isn’t even a definition. Professor Geoffrey Alderman, one of the few honest Zionists (which is why he was banned from its pages, after being a Jewish Chronicle columnist for 14 years) described it as ‘flawed and faulty’  and that its 11 examples of anti-Semitism embed(ed) numerous internal contradictions’.

We should also campaign for states to break their ties with the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance as Brazil has done. That is a concrete step which is of some use unlike the utterly pathetic ‘recognition’ of a Palestinian state that doesn’t exist.

As Hussein Agha and Robert Malley argue, recognition of a Palestinian state that doesn’t exist is a distraction from the main task of ending the genocide in Gaza.
