Despite The Best Efforts of the Institutionally Racist Metropolitan Police the ‘I Oppose Genocide – I Support Palestine Action Demonstration Went Ahead’

The same Police Force that Welcomed the Nazi Police to London in the 30s is now Defending the Genocidal Israeli State

London's Metropolitan Police do their best to prevent support for Palestine Action on Sept. 6th

Despite arresting the organisers of the demonstration today, including Tim Crosland, and charging them with being 'terrorists' i.e. organising against the Police State that London is fast becoming, the demonstration against the ban on Palestine Action went ahead as planned.

I got to the demonstration in Parliament Square just before 1.00 p.m. and stayed till about 3.00 p.m. I displayed a poster – Genocide in Palestine – Action Needed Now to see if the Met Police were going to arrest me, as they have done with others holding the same poster.  They didn’t but most of the arrests took place after I left.

Police can't explain why holding a placard is terrorism but dropping bombs on children isn't

Home Office Disinformation Campaign

There was though a real buzz and energy at the demonstration and it should be clear, even to the thick-headed racist who is the Commissioner of the Met, Sir Mark Rowley, that however many arrests his violent thugs make the demonstrations will continue.

On September 5, 2025 Israeli war planes targeted children in a school bus burning them all alive

People should not be taken in by the claim that all the Police are doing is enforcing the law. When it comes to rape the offence has virtually been decriminalised. Don’t take my word. Vera Baird, the Victim’s Commissioner wrote in her 2021/22 Annual Report:

In my first annual report in 2020, I made headlines by saying that we were witnessing the effective decriminalisation of rape. During my subsequent years in post as Victims’ Commissioner, little has swayed me from that perspective. Despite a long-delayed end-to-end rape review, various governmental action plans and plenty of tinkering round the edges, you can’t escape the numbers; they continue to speak for themselves.

For victims, reporting rape is effectively a lottery and the odds are rarely in your favour. In the year to December 2021, there were 67,125 rape offences recorded – an all-time high. Yet the number of completed rape prosecutions plummeted from 5,190 in 2016-17 to just 2,409 in 2020-21. The numbers of convictions almost halved (2,689 in 2016/17 compared to 1,409 in 2020/21). Only 5% of rapes that were given an outcome by the police in the year ending December 2021 resulted in a charge.

Emeritus Professor Jonathan Rosenhead of the LSE and Jewish Voice for Labour Prepares to be Arrested

But we know why the Police deprioritise rape.  It is not seen by many Police as a crime. Not surprising given the number of rapists in their ranks and the way Wayne Couzens, the murderer of Sarah Everard was covered for by fellow officers who nicknamed him ‘the rapist’. The Met still has not explained why it didn’t act immediately when Couzens exposed himself in a drive in restaurant two days before.

Likewise the International Criminal Court Act 2001 which makes aiding a genocide a crime, has remained a dead letter as far as the Met is concerned. For the Met to go anywhere near an Act which makes aiding genocide a crime would be ‘political’.

Piers Corbyn, brother of Jeremy, prepares to be arrested

It is far easier to crack down on opponents of genocide. We can rely on the British state – be they politicians, police or judges – to know that relations with United States takes priority over the death of thousands of people in Gaza.

Even The Times Came Out Against the Ban

I hope to attend the next demonstration and will do my best to be arrested next time! Have no doubt that we are winning.  Palestine Action was proscribed, not because it is a terrorist organisation but because it has been so effective in shutting down Elbit.

It is also now very clear from the documents released as part of the attempt to judicially review the decision to proscribe Palestine Action that Yvette Cooper lied about the intelligence evidence proving that Palestine Action was a terrorist group.

We learnt today that a fourth Elbit factory has been forced to close in Bristol. This at the same time as that human skunk, Keir Starmer, ponders giving Elbit Systems, Israel’s main arms company, a £2 billion contract to train the British army. One would assume that the British army had no need of training from Israel in how to commit war crimes but possibly they need a refresher.

Below are some of the photos I and others took.

ALL OUT ON JUNE 19 - At 10.30 am 19 June at Kingston Crown Court, I will have a pre-trial hearing accused of ‘terrorism’

My Alleged Crime is Support for a Proscribed Organisation, Hamas But Supporters of Syria’s HTS/ISIS/Al Qaeda Regime Have not Been Prosecuted

The charge sheet is deceptive.  I am charged with

‘Express(ing) an opinion or belief in support of (a) proscribed organisation that will encourage support of it (and that) on 7th October 2023 expressed an opinion or be1ief that was supportive of a proscribed organisation, namely Hamas, and the support is not, or is not restricted to, to the provision of money or other property.

This charge is a lie. The Crown Prosecution Service had to obtain the consent of the Attorney General to prosecute, but that wasn't difficult.

Attorney General, Richard Hermer,  although critical of Israel’s Occupation of the West Bank and its contempt for international law, is a liberal Zionist.

In a statement to the Jewish Chronicle he explained that:

As it happens, I am from a “Blue-Box” Jewish family, a former Jewish youth movement chanich/madrich (a movement that my kids are now actively involved in), a graduate of the Machon, a former active member of UJS, a former volunteer for Searchlight magazine and a current member of Alyth Gardens shul.  I actively support a range of Jewish and Israeli organisations.

I have dear family members currently serving in the IDF.  I also happen to believe... that the continued Israeli occupation of the West Bank is unlawful, deeply damaging to the interests of Israel and wholly contrary to the values of tikkun olam that I grew up with and continue to guide me.

Hermer’s opposition to the occupation of the West Bank does not derive from the damage to the Palestinians (who he doesn’t mention) but the interest of Israel.

Hermer was also a sabbatical officer for the Israeli Embassy funded, ardently pro-Zionist Union of Jewish Students.

The Solicitor General, Sarah Sackman is also the Deputy Attorney General. She is no liberal Zionist. She was the Vice-Chair of Labour Friends of Genocide aka the Jewish Labour Movement, which has mobilised support for continued arms sales to Israel. The JLM was behind the false anti-Semitism smear campaign which helped destroy Corbyn’s leadership of the Labour Party.

My lawyers have, quite ludicrously, not been allowed to give me copies of the material in which I am alleged to have offered support to Hamas, even though I wrote it.

It is clear to anyone who isn’t blind that the charges against Sarah Wilkinson, Richard Medhurst, Natalie Strecker, the Filton 18 and myself have nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with attacking Palestine solidarity activists.

The One Paper You Wouldn't Expect to Turn It Into a Free Speech Issue is the Conservative Jersey Evening Post

If the Police seriously believed that we were engaged in the commission of acts of terrorism they would charged us with commissioning acts of terrorism. They haven’t.  The charges against us are about expressing opinions or beliefs that they don’t like.

Alistair Campbell &  Rory Stewart Interview the Head of the Proscribed Organisation HTS, Ahmed al-Sharaa

However there are some supporters of proscribed organisations who aren’t prosecuted. Step forward Alistair Campbell, who wrote the ‘dodgy dossier’ which was a crucial document in fixing the evidence for going to war in Iraq in 2003 and ex-Tory MP Rory Stewart who interviewed the Al Quaeda/ISIS President of Syria, Mohammed al-Jolani, as part of the Establishment’s quest to rehabilitate someone who is presiding over the slaughter of Druze, Alawites & Christians.

For the first and last time I agree with the former Jewish Chronicle Editor, Jake Wallis Simons when he says ‘Shame on Rory Stewart and Alistair Cambell’.

Kingston Crown Court

Whenever the word ‘terrorism’ is mentioned the Judiciary go weak at the knees. I wanted the trial to be held in Brighton or Lewes Crown Court which are near where I live, since I have a responsibility under a Court of Protection Order for an autistic son. However because this is a ‘terrorism’ trial there are only 3 courts in the South-East that can hear it – the Old Bailey, Woolwich and Kingston Crown Court.

‘Terrorism’ legislation is being used, not to combat genuine terrorism but as a blunt weapon to silence supporters of the Palestinians and opponents of genocide. It is an abuse of the law which our judges are happy to endorse.

As John Dugard, a Professor of International law and an ad-hoc judge of the International Court of Justice observed,

‘‘The label of ‘terrorist’ is ‘a bid to discredit and silence opponents”.

In the 1980s Thatcher and Reagan called the ANC a terrorist organisation and Nelson Mandela remained on the United States terrorist watch list until 2008.

Gaza is a post-apocalyptic killing zone: UNRWA chief - Philippe Lazzarini

The accusation of ‘terrorism’ is being used to close down free speech on Palestine and Hamas is the pretext. Previously it was the PLO which was demonised. If proscription had been in operation 50 or 60 years ago then support for any national liberation or anti-colonial movement, from the Vietcong to the ANC, would have been a criminal offence.

What has been done, with the willing complicity and support of Starmer, Hermer and Lammy is to criminalise political opposition to the British government’s support of genocide.

Hamas is not a terrorist but a resistance group. It hasn’t blindly killed thousands of babies and children and then tried to turn October 7 into a second holocaust by engaging in the propogation of atrocity propaganda such as the story of 40 Beheaded Babies.

You might expect the ‘free press’ to take up this abuse of the anti-terrorist laws but instead they are its main cheerleaders. As George Orwell remarked in an essay The Freedom of the Press

‘The British press is extremely centralised, and most of it is owned by wealthy men who have every motive to be dishonest on certain important topics.’

Except today the British press is dishonest on virtually every topic that impinges on the interests of their billionaire owners.  Included in that dishonesty is the broadcast media – not merely GB News and LBC but the BBC and Sky News.

In the United States we are seeing the destruction of even the most basic forms of democratic rights as Donald Trump sets loose the Marines and National Guard at those protesting at the activities of the ICE immigration squads.

It may not be as bad here but when you have a dozen police knocking at your door at 7 a.m. in the morning over a tweet which I posted a month before, you realise that the police state is not far away. When the police officer in my case, Chris Beckford, was asked to explain why he needed to keep possession of my digital devices, he stated when there was copious amounts of evidence in the public domain already:

However, that evidence only shows what Mr Greenstein presents publically. It is important to the investigation that we fully understand Mr Greenstein’s mind set and ideology. This not only comes from public sources, ie his blog and social media, but from his internet search history and communication with others. How, and indeed if, he talks about Hamas with others away from the public domain provides highly relevant insight into Mr Greenstein.

This is the language of the thought police who want to get into your mind. PC Beckford was not an ogre, quite the contrary. A quite affable guy but his mentality was that of Orwell’s 1984. The desire to get inside your mind is the stuff of which nightmares are made.

What is the prosecution based on?  Two things. Firstly a tweet on 15 November 2023 and secondly my blog of October 7 Full Support for the Gaza Ghetto Uprising.

In my blog I say virtually nothing about Hamas but I make it clear that I support the Uprising and that is the real reason for my prosecution. Support for the oppressed and colonial peoples is now a crime.

We cannot expect the British press to support free speech because it is in bed with the political class.

The reporting of my case in the Brighton Argus ‘Brighton man charged with terror offences over Hamas comments’ was par for the course in a paper which, under its present Editor Aaron Hendy, has gone from bad to oblivion.

Contrast the even more abysmal Jo Wadsworth, Editor of Brighton & Hove News whose innovative headline was ‘Tony Greenstein charged with terror offences’.

Wadsworth, who is to journalism what Harold Shipman was to care for the elderly. She once threatened to report me to the Police after I accused her of wallowing in the blood of Palestinian children. These people can get very precious.

The Police in this country have prioritised the defence of War Criminal Arms Factories like Elbit even whilst ‘ordinary’ crime like rape and burglary has soared. Rape has effectively been decriminalised as conviction rates have fallen to 1%.

There are a number of reasons for this. It isn’t just the attitudes of the Police but also the fact that the Police  prefer to spend their time harassing Palestine protests and activists to doing the boring work of tracking down rapists and violent criminals. Its so much more enjoyable persecuting political opponents than doing the hard work tackling rape.

Many police officers don’t even accept that there is such a crime as rape. The murderer of Sarah Everard, Wayne Couzens was known by the nickname of ‘the rapist’.  Apparently this was considered to be quite a joke.

Please come and support me on June 19th because it’s not me who is on trial but the right to freedom of speech and the right to support the Palestinians. See also

Coronation - We Are Walking into a Police State

Police Arrest Protesters for Exercising their Democratic Right to Protest Against Monarchy

Democracy British Style

It was less than two months ago that the Metropolitan Police were described as ‘institutionally racist, misogynistic and homophobic’. Baroness Louise Casey said that the Black community were ‘over-policed and under-protected.’

Murdered by the Met

It was little more than two years ago that Sarah Everard was murdered by a Police officer, Wayne Couzens, who had been systematically protected by fellow officers when reports of  him exposing himself were made. The last incident was six days before he went on to kidnap and murder Sarah, when Police were given his car registration number and his bank card details by a fast food restaurant.

If Couzens had been arrested at the time Sarah Everard would still be alive. As it is Couzens was given the nickname ‘the rapist’ – a ‘joke’ that fellow officers in the Nuclear Constabulary found highly amusing.

Casey Response to Met Reaction to Report

Couzens was not of course the only incident. 18 months ago two police officers, Deniz Jaffer and Jamie Lewis, were gaoled for sharing  pictures of two dead Black women, nicknamed ‘dead birds’ in two WhatsApp groups, one of which had 41 fellow officers as participants.

Anti-monarchy arrests during UK coronation

Met Commissioner Cressida Dick resigned after a series of scandals. An independent police watchdog revealed shocking evidence Feb. 1 that officers in Charing Cross station had engaged in conduct involving misogyny, homophobia, bullying and sexual harassment between 2016 and 2018.

The report claimed that officers had engaged in sexual activity while on duty, joked about hitting and raping women, and mocked the deaths of black babies and the Holocaust. In published Whatsapp messages, one male officer told to a female officer: “I would happily rape you…if I was single I would happily chloroform you.” Two of the officers investigated were promoted, while nine were left to serve in the Met.

Cressida Dick’s replacement, Sir Mark Rowley shows no inclination to improve matters, having rejected Louise Casey’s finding of institutionalised racism. The National Black Police Association offered to meet him to highlight areas of concern and collaborate on how to change the systemic racism within the force, but was snubbed.

The Inquiry chaired by Nuala O’Loan, the former police ombudsman in Northern Ireland into the murder of Daniel Morgan, a private eye, found that the Police investigation was riddled with corruption.

The report accused Dick of 'placing hurdles' in their path by refusing to give them access to a vital police database. The HOLMES system which is used by UK police forces to investigate complicated crimes such as serial murders and high-value frauds.

Access to the database was 'essential' because many of the documents were only available in online form, and her refusal caused 'very significant delays', the report stated.

'The Metropolitan Police's lack of candour manifested itself in the hurdles placed in the path of the Panel, such as (then Assistant Commissioner) Cressida Dick's initial refusal to recognise the necessity for the Panel to have access to the HOLMES system,'

Who then was better placed to be given additional powers under the new Public Order Act than the Metropolitan Police? Indeed such was Cruella Braverman’s trust in the Met Police’s ability to abuse whatever powers they were handed that the implementation of the Act was fast tracked just one day after receiving royal assent. Normally it takes months to implement legislation and sometimes parts of that legislation are never implemented.

The POA means that anyone who blocks roads, airports and railways could be jailed for up to 12 months — while anyone who glues themself down could face up to six months behind bars or an unlimited fine.

Police will also be able to stop and search protesters for items such as padlocks, superglue and digging tools if they suspect they are intending to be used at a protest. People caught with these items, with the intention of using them to cause disruption, will also face criminal charges.

In short the POA is an ideal piece of legislation  to hasten the arrival of a Police state. It is the type of legislation which the press would fall over themselves to criticise if Putin or China were to introduce it.

Only one thing will render this Act null and void and that will be a refusal to comply with its provisions by direct action protesters. This is a government that detests any form of direct action whilst being immersed  in serious corruption and law breaking – all of which have gone without investigation by the Met.

According to Transparency International 2021 was the year corruption took centre stage

From the British Government’s COVID-19 response to ministers’ and MPs’ conflicts of interest; from the businesses caught up in bribery scandals to the devastating effect of corruption in defence forces around the world which triggered or aggravated conflicts or led to the total collapse of government.

Its effect was of course felt on the public

Whether that was UK hospitals unable to access high quality or reasonably priced personal protective equipment (PPE) for their staff and patients, planning decisions seemingly based on who you know rather than the public interest, or millions fleeing their homes and countries when the safest place to be should have been at home.

It is therefore no surprise that the Metropolitan Police should pull out all the stops to prevent protests at the Coronation.  It is a case of one undemocratic institution, the Met, giving its full support to another undemocratic institution, the Monarchy.

However the Met Police commanders are nothing if not stupid. They have enabled millions of people to see for themselves the hostility to the democratic right to protest of the Police. The publicity garnered by the protesters because of the decision by the Police to arrest its organisers was invaluable. Even the ever loyal BBC was forced to carry news reports of the heavy handed response of the Met. In that sense and in that sense only, we should be grateful to Mark Rowley.

However we have to ask why the government gave a bunch of racists, rapists, misogynists and corrupt bigots even more powers than they already had given their penchant to abuse their existing powers. There was no popular mandate for the new Public Order Act and it says everything about Starmer’s Labour Party that it failed to make any protest about the new powers still less pledge to repeal it.
