Zionists Openly Admit to trying to Disrupt Public Meetings on Palestine as the Attempt to Prevent Haneen Zoabi Speaking at SOAS Fails

Jonathan Hoffman and his Zionist thugs tell a Jewish Holocaust Survivor that she is a ‘disgrace’ for opposing racism and Zionism

On Friday evening there was an attempt by a group of fascist Zionists, led by the notorious Jonathan Hoffman, who was convicted of various public order offences last summer in connection with an assault on a Palestinian woman at a demonstration outside Puma. This time Hoffman’s mission was to attempt to disrupt and prevent the brave former member of Israel’s Knesset, Haneen Zoabi from speaking.

Hoffman is well-known for working with Fascists and Anti-Semites - Just So Long as They Support Zionism and Israel

Hoffman should know that Haneen has faced far more serious attempts by the Zionist regime and its military to stop Haneen speaking and organising. Zionism’s pale imitations of Oswald Moseley were nothing more than a mild nuisance. What is interesting though is the rationale and ‘logic’ behind Hoffman and friends.

Hoffman and fellow fascists openly boast that 'we disrupted this vile meeting'  

According to Hoffman’s blog, laughingly titled Thrown out at SOAS for telling the truth, he is entitled to disrupt or prevent any meeting that he classifies as ‘anti-Semitic’. What was the truth he told? That it was all ‘lies’. That was his sole rationale.

Anti-Semitism according to Hoffie is anyone who supports the Palestinians or who opposes Zionism, because in his world view, anti-Zionism = anti-Semitism.  Thus he calls SOAS, a multi-national institution, the pride of London University, an ‘anti-Semitic sewer.’ According to Hoffman ‘Calling Israel an Apartheid State is anti-semitic.’ Which logically means that telling the truth is anti-Semitic. In which case the anti-Semites are right after all! This is how Zionism ends up justifying and supporting anti-Semitism.

The Failure by SOAS Centre for Palestine Studies to Take Security Precautions is Totally Unacceptable

Haneen Zoabi was the most reviled and detested Arab member of the Knesset. She has, as you can see in these FB posts, been called a 'terrorist' on innumerable occasions. It is quite possible for some deranged lunatic like Hoffman to make an attempt of her life.

The failure to provide strict security is lamentable and I shall be writing to them. It is utterly unacceptable.

I have carefully documented the activities of these people, including providing names and photographs. Hoffman and co. have complained bitterly, including trying to hold me responsible for the suicide of one of their number! I have shown how Hoffman has continually and regularly consorted with a variety of fascists from the EDL to Britain First and Tommy Robinson. I have shown how the Board of Deputies has been happy to demonstrate alongside the Jewish Nazi Jewish Defence League and Tommy Robinson supporters.

Where this information has been used, Hoffman and friends have been left kicking their heels outside the meetings they hoped to disrupt. It is therefore extremely disappointing that the Centre for Palestine Studies at SOAS did not avail themselves of this information. Despite saying that ID was required there was no attempt to do this on the night. The lack of security was not only depressing but it gives encouragement to these thugs.  I hope that SOAS’s Centre for Palestine Studies takes note because you are making things difficult for other meetings and organisations. Your decision to have no security on the night was highly irresponsible.

Hoffman effortlessly gives his far-Right connections away when he tells us that Haneen Zoabi ‘is not even supported by many Arabs in Israel.’ He quotes Arab Israeli journalist Khaled Abu Toameh who wrote an article Israel's Arabs: A Tale of Betrayal which informs readers that

‘some of the Israeli Arab community's elected representatives and leaders have worked harder for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip than for their own Israeli constituents.’

Divide and Rule is an old trick of racists and imperialists. Who is Khaled Abu Toameh? A writer for the right-wing Zionist Jerusalem Post. And where did the article appear? On the web site of the Gatestone Institute where he is styled as a ‘Distinguished Senior Fellow’.

And what, you may ask, is the Gatestone Institute?  A respected academic institution or think tank? Well if you go to Wikipedia you will learn that:

‘Gatestone Institute is a far-right think tank known for publishing anti-Muslim articles. It was founded in 2008 by Nina Rosenwald, who serves as its president. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former national security advisor, John R. Bolton, was its chairman from 2013 to March 2018. Its current chairman is Amir Taheri.’ Taheri himself

‘has been the subject of many controversies involving fabrications in his writings, most notable of which was the 2006 Iranian sumptuary law controversy.’

One of its board members is billionaire Rebeka Mercer, who also happens to fund the far-Right Breitbart which Steve Bannon edited before he fell out with Trump. Breitbart combines racism, hostility to feminism, gay rights and anti-Semitism. A quite heady brew.

Hoffman tells us that

This is how Zionism cynically exploits the Holocaust, whilst keeping Holocaust survivors in poverty in Israel. The Holocaust to Zionists is no more than a means to defend the world’s most racist state. How does ‘Zionists out’ equate to ‘Juden Raus’?  Zionism is a political not an ethnic ideology. It’s like saying that ‘fascists out’ is a threat to all British people  Nonsensical as well as dishonest. Hoffman then recalls how:

An elderly woman dressed in pink in the front row announced herself as a ‘Holocaust Survivor’ (video here). The truth is that she was born in Budapest in 1944 so knew nothing about the Holocaust. She’s a charlatan, she was never in a death camp. But to call herself a ‘survivor’ adds to her cachet among the antisemites when she maligns Israel...’

Because it is Israel uber alles Hoffman will even traduce someone born in Nazi occupied Europe in order to defend his racist rat hole. This common and garden racist, who demonstrates side by side with Britain First members, attacks a Holocaust survivor who unlike Hoffman is able to relate her own experiences to the suffering of the Palestinians.

If Hoffman knew anything about the Holocaust, he would not doubt that the woman in question was a Holocaust survivor. The definition of which is being born under Nazi occupation not being in a death camp or a concentration camp.

In 1944 nearly half a million Hungarian Jews were deported to Auschwitz whilst the leader of Hungarian Zionism,  Rudolph Kasztner was reaching an agreement with Adolf Eichmann to secure a train out of Hungary containing the Zionist leadership.

Kasztner deliberately kept information on Auschwitz from Hungarian Jews. As Elie Wiesel, an ardent Zionist wrote:

‘We were taken just two weeks before D-Day, and we did not know that Auschwitz existed… everyone knew except the victims.’ Wiesel asked ‘Why didn’t we know? To this day I try to understand what happened. If ever there was a tragedy that could have been prevented, it was that one.’

Wiesel was also quoted in the LA Times 23.5.93. as saying that:

‘Jewish leaders of Palestine never made the rescue of European Jews into an overwhelming national priority. We know that Zionist leader Itzhak Gruenbaum... considered creating new settlements more urgent than saving Jews from being sent to Treblinka and Birkenau.’ 

In 1944 the Jews of Budapest survived the deportations because of massive world pressure which forced Hungary’s pro-Nazi leader Admiral Horthy to call a halt to the deportations on July 7^th 1944^. However the Nazi Arrow Cross government that the Nazis installed on October 15^th terrorised the Jews of Budapest and some 50,000 out of 200,000 were murdered by their militia.

The woman in pink at the meeting is, in every sense, a Holocaust survivor. The fact that Hoffman, in his desperation to defend an Israeli state, should query this indicates how despicable and contemptible this wretched apology for a human being is.

There is not one redeeming feature about Jonathan Hoffman, a disgusting apologist for Israeli apartheid.  When his death comes it will be hard to find even 1 good word to say about him. As Malcolm noted in MacBeth about the execution of Thane of Cawdor, ‘nothing in his life became him so much as his leaving it.’ We can only hope that Hoffman will not have too long to wait.  Let’s hope God is a Zionist because he will have a shock if he isn’t!

There can be no doubt today that Israel is an apartheid state. It is, by its own definition a state only of its Jewish citizens. A state which passes a law (Reception Committee Law 2011) allowing Jewish only communities to bar Arabs on ‘suitability’ grounds.

Hoffman, in his manic ramble tells us that ‘SOAS is virtually a Jew-free university.’ Having studied at SOAS as part of my own MA I can say, without fear of contradiction, that I never experienced any anti-Semitism at SOAS.  But then my definition of anti-Semitism is hostility to Jews, not hatred of a racist ideology called Zionism!

What is though disturbing is that Hoffman and his fellows openly boast of organising to disrupt meetings.  If a group of left-wingers were to do the same then the Police would no doubt be interested. Pressure should be put on the Metropolitan Police to consider pursuing charges against Hoffman and his fellows.

There is no limit to Hoffman's self-deception

And let it be remembered that Hoffman is someone who has no hesitation in working with the Holocaust denial Britain First, the English Defence League, Tommy Robinson supporters and of course he quotes from the openly Islamaphobic Gatestone Institute.

The attack on Palestine and anti-Zionist meetings is at one with the Tory attempt to impose the IHRA misdefinition of anti-Semitism on universities whose sole purpose is, in the words of the person who drafted it, Kenneth Stern, to ‘chill’ free speech.

Hoffman has also attacked SOAS academic Dr Dina Matar who chaired the meeting. Hoffman ‘reveals’ that Dina agreed that ex-Israeli Professor Haim Bresheeth, of Jewish Network for Palestine, could book a room for a meeting! But then, according to Hoffman, JNP is ‘hate-infested political group set up explicitly to attack mainstream British Jewry’  As a member I can assure Hoffman that its remit has nothing to do with an attack on Jews. Zionism is our only target. According to the demented Hoffman anyone who is not a signed up Zionist is an anti-Semite because the definition of ‘anti-Semitism’ to the Zionists has nothing to do with Jews and everything to do with Israel.

As he said on his blog in justification for having destroyed another meeting:

Well bear in mind that these ‘humanists’ are affiliated to the National Secular Society which has been pretty obnoxious towards Jews.

Please someone tell the fool that humanists don’t like any religion! That is why they are humanists and it is also why they are affiliated to the National Secular Society. (What he means is they don't like the religion not the individuals who practice the religion)

The East London Humanists decided to invite David Rosenberg, the mild-mannered Secretary and founder of the Jewish Socialist Group to speak to a meeting on anti-Semitism. David and I have long disagreed on many things since he is a compulsive moderate. However my sympathies go out to him over having his meeting disrupted by that ecumenical friend of fascists, Jonathan Hoffman.

Hoffman, who was only recently convicted of harassment of a Palestinian woman decided that the invitation to David to speak to the Humanists was intolerable. If there is one thing that Hoffman and his fellow fascists like Yochie Davies hates it is free speech. Like their compatriots in Israel it is a red rag to a Zionist bull.

David Rosenburg is a racist according to Hoffie. The same David Rosenberg who I have seen on numerous anti-fascist demonstrations against the BNP, NF etc. Of course Labour’s anti-Semitism moral panic has enabled racists to think they can accuse anti-racists of racism. This is all the fashion these days.

I must confess I have never seen Hoffman on a single anti-racist or anti-fascist demonstration. David was a ‘liar’ (one of his favourite words because it saves you having to explain why you disagree with someone) because he says that the IHRA ‘definition’ of anti-Semitism prevents criticism of Israel.

Hoffie’s response was to say that the IHRA allows criticism of Israel.  This is a half truth – but as they say a half truth is worse than a lie. What the IHRA actually says is that:

criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic

But Israel isn’t ‘any other country’ it is a state based on a single ethnicity and which practises apartheid. One of the 11 illustrations of ‘anti-Semitism’ says that:

‘Applying double standards by requiring of it [Israel] a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation’

According to Hoffman this photo is a 'fucking lie' - his appearance alongside the EDL's Kevin Carroll is just one of those coincidences

The problem is that Israel is not a democratic nation. Indeed it isn’t a nation! Prime Minister Netanyahu openly says that Israel is a Jewish state not a state of its own citizens. Therefore, by definition, it can’t be a democratic state. It is a settler colonial state.

Ipso facto the IHRA does prevent criticism and therefore David Rosenberg is telling the truth and is not a racist whereas Hoffie is both a liar and a racist. But according to Hoffie a racist is someone who believes Israel is a racist state so you can’t win!

But the biggest whopper of the night was when Hoffie called David a ‘liar’ ‘a fucking liar’ for saying that Hoffie is happy to work with the EDL and the BNP. Indeed he seemed to lose all self control at that point!  It would appear that the truth has the same effect on Hoffie that the light has on Dracula.

Jonathan Hoffman has stood on picket lines with the EDL, danced down the street with Roberta Moore, the organiser of their Jewish section (the JDL), stood side by side with Paul Besser, ex-Intelligence Office of Britain First on pickets and demonstrations, liaised with Kevin Caroll, an EDL leader, works with Tommy Robinson supporters and people like Danny Thomo, body guard to Robinson as well as Pegida’s Sharon Klaff and Ambrosine Shitrit.

Quite amazingly out of the 20,000 or so solicitors in Britain, the only one that Hoffie could find to defend him against charges of assault and harassment of a woman earlier this year was Daniel Berke, who is also Tommy Robinson's solicitor from Manchester?  A coincidence?  We think not.

No one is too right-wing for Hoffie as long as they are a Zionist. Below are a few photos to illustrate that though the matter is painful for him, Hoffman is, in his own phrase, a fucking liar.

Even Dan Sheldon, Campaign Organiser of the Israeli funded Union of Jewish Students was so pissed off with Hoffman’s behaviour, that in a debate with Hoffman he openly accused him of being

‘happy to demonstrate side by side with members of the EDL Jewish Division. He lied about the last one saying that a picture of him with the EDL was photoshopped. But after a legal intervention he was forced to admit that the photo was genuine.’

I am proud to say that it was my blog which outed him over this in August 2010, but not before he threatened me with legal action!!

In fact when the photographer who snapped him with Roberta Moore, David Hoffman, was accused by Hoffie of photoshopping he threatened to sue and Hoffie had to publish this apology:

‘On my Jewish Chronicle blog I described a photograph taken on 14 August 2010 at the pro-Ahava demonstration as "fraudulent". I also wrote "That photo was 'Photoshopped' -- and it is bloody obvious that it was 'Photoshopped' I do not discuss but I do identify lies and fraudulent Photoshopped photos."

These statements were entirely without foundation and I had made no attempt to check their accuracy. I accept that the photo was absolutely genuine and had not been tampered with in any way. The photographer, David Hoffman, is a well known and respected photojournalist and I apologise to him unreservedly for my hasty and unfounded comments and for the distress and embarrassment caused.’

You might think that having just swallowed several large helpings of humble pie that Hoffie might retire with indigestion. No such luck.

Hoffie’s excuse for demonstrating alongside the EDL when we picketed Ahava in Covent Garden was that the Police refused to create a separate pen for the Zionists and the EDL. He stated that

‘Nine years ago, anti-Israel campaigners repeatedly picketed an Israeli-owned shop in London. I led the counter-demonstrations, and requested that the police separate us from any EDL supporters as I did not wish to be associated with them (see here).’

The link that Hoffie directed us to is an article on Harry’s Place. In it there is an email from Inspector Martin Edwards to Hoffie explaining that he could not have a separate pen from the EDL. The only problem is that this email is dated 25^th October 2010 whereas the photo of Hoffman in the company of fascists, which he originally described as ‘photoshopped’ is dated 14^th August 2010. In other words for over 2 months Hoffie had no qualms about demonstrating with the EDL and it was only when we pointed out his relationship with the fascists that Hoffie approached the Police!

In any case this is irrelevant. Anti-Zionists have never demonstrated alongside fascists and anti-Semites. We would not have tolerated them and on the few occasions when, in the 1980’s members of the National Front attempted to join Palestinian demonstrations we physically stopped them.

If the EDL had attempted to join our picket there would have been blood on the pavement. The Police would have had to separate us yet Hoffman was perfectly happy to demonstrate alongside fascists and anti-Semites because to him the most important thing is defending Israel. He has no principled object to demonstrating with fascists and anti-Semites.

No one in the Jewish community had any doubts that Kevin Myers was an anti-Semite for writing that Jews never knowingly undersell themselves - with 1 exception - Jonathan Hoffman

Hoffman is, like many Zionists, prepared to go that extra mile to exonerate genuine anti-Semites as long as they are pro-Israel. When Sunday Times journalist Kevin Myers was excoriated for an anti-Semitic article he wrote about equal pay (he opposed it!) and wrote concerning two female Jewish broadcasters, Vanessa Feltz and Claudia Winkleman:

there was a consensus view that what Myers wrote was anti-Semitic. Even the far-Right Campaign Against Anti-Semitism condemned him. Indeed Myers had also flirted with Holocaust denial claiming that the Holocaust had become a ‘dogma’. There was just one person who exonerated him of anti-Semitism. Yes that’s right – Jonathan Hoffman. On his blog he wrote Is Kevin Myers really an anti-Semite? Why? Because Myers is pro-Zionist as well as being a racist (he once stated that the only thing Africa had given to the world was Aids). There is much weeping and wailing amongst the Zionists of Golders Green as Tommy Robinson is Sent Down

Tommy Robinson aka Stephen Yaxley Lennon will serve just 10 weeks in prison for trying to derail the trial of child sex abusers. Making political capital out of their trial and trying to demonise all Muslim men with the crimes of a few were more important than the fact that those found guilty could have walked free.

Tommy Robinson is not the only person who has made the equation between Muslim men and grooming of young girls and sex abuse. This is a widespread stereotype. These people seem to forget people like Jimmy Saville or the late Bishop of Lewes Peter Ball, who was befriended and protected by Prince Charles, to say nothing of the abuse of children in public and religious schools, by both Protestant and Catholic clergy.

Keeping company with Tommy Robinson to the last was Katie Hopkins, the ex-Sun and Daily Mail ‘journalist’. This is the same Katie Hopkins who spoke to a packed meeting of largely Jewish people in Hendon last week. As Ben Weich observed:

Although there was a large article on the Jewish Chronicle website, only a smaller version, minus pictures, was tucked away on the inside of the printed version. Clearly the threat from Jeremy Corbyn is greater.

However this article prompted mega businessman Sir Mick Davis, and Tory Party Treasurer to take to the columns of the Jewish Chronicle this week (Our fight against bigotry cannot be fought alongside bigots like Katie Hopkins).

Sir Mick however was being disingenuous. Katie Hopkins has been widely welcomed in the Jewish community. She even attended the Zionist Federation annual dinner and dance last year and was pictured with Israel’s war criminal Ambassador Mark Regev.

Anti-Muslim racism and bigotry are a direct consequence of Zionism. Israel is the most anti-Islamic state in the world. Repeated attacks against the rights of Muslim worshippers at the Mosque of the Golden Dome and Al Aqsa in Jerusalem including Israeli soldiers entering these holy places in their boots in order to attack worshippers. Imagine that this happened in a synagogue.

The equation of Muslim and terrorist, the treatment of Palestinians as sub human, the legislation passed against the call to worship, the so-called Muezzin Law,  the decision to make the Northern Islamic League illegal in November 2015 whilst allowing the openly fascist and violent Lehava to stay in business. All of this testifies to the anti-Islamic racism in Israel.

The far-Right organisation Lehava which campaigns against ‘assimilation’ was funded by the Israeli state via its ‘charity’ Hemla. Ha’aretz quotes a source in the Social Services Ministry as saying that 'We have been cooperating with a racist group for a decade,'.

Lehava has been given the green light to continue their campaign of violence against Arabs in Jerusalem.  Using the slogans ‘"Arabs beware – our sisters are not up for grabs" and "Jewish girls for the Jewish people." Lehava attacks Arabs at random in order to ‘protect’ Jewish women. The Nazis had the same concerns for German women whom they ‘protected’ against Jewish men.

According to Lehava’s far-right attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir,

‘Lehava's activity is entirely lawful, as has been repeatedly confirmed by police. The Jerusalem District Court has recently said that campaigning against assimilation isn't racist." 

So campaigning for racial purity, because that is what it is, is ‘entirely lawful’ in the Jewish state and then people ask why there is anti-Muslim racism.

This is despite the repeated arson attacks at mosques and churches carried out by Lehava and their supporters.  Indeed Benji Gopstein, the leader of Lehava has openly justified this. Burning of Christian churches in Israel justified, far-Right Jewish leader says

Zionism’s poisonous anti-Muslim racism has seeped into much of the Jewish community in Britain. That is why Katie Hopkins can speak to a packed Jewish audience in Hendon and Golders Green whereas an anti-Zionist speaker would probably be lynched!

The fascist Zionists  that I have covered – Ambrosine Shitrit, Sharon KKKlaff, Paul Besser of Britain First, Mark Haringman and Jonathan Hoffman – to name but a few – operate with impunity in Hendon and Jewish circles. Their visceral hatred of Muslims and Arabs finds an echo in the camp of religious Zionism and amongst the supporters of Herut and Likud like Mandy Rice Blumenthall and her partner solicitor Mark Lewis.

Tommy Robinson has distinguished himself by his open and overt support for Israel.  Although Zionists try to turn a blind eye to it, the open support of Israel by neo-Nazis like Tommy Robinson is because Israel is to them the ideal ethno nationalist state. This adulation has been reciprocated by a whole layer of Zionists. Even The Times of Israel asked Why are US ‘pro-Israel’ groups boosting a far-right, anti-Muslim UK extremist?

Borderlife, a book by Dorit Rabinyan, an Israeli author, portraying the relationship of a Jewish and Arab teenager was banned from the high school syllabus, because it might give young Israeli Jews ideas about having relationships across ethnic boundaries. What state other than a viciously racist state for whom miscegenation is the rule would ban such a book?  In Britain only fringe far-Right groups campaign against White and Black people having relationships.

The reasons given by the Education Ministry for banning the book from the high school syllabus were in themselves a master class of euphemisms:  the problem was that the book was

"full of layers of hidden narratives, with criticism of the liberal-left part of the Israeli political spectrum, [and] wrapped in a romantic story of an impossible love.’

Why one might ask was this an impossible love? Apparently

"The professional team came to the conclusion that young adolescent may have difficulty to go in depth into these layers."

In other words young people in love may not understand in a ‘Jewish’ state the racial imperative not to mix with Arabs and non-Jews. NBC quoted  education official Dalia Fenig that "at this time of tensions in Israel choosing this book can fuel hatred." Israel is the ideal ethno nationalist state which is why open neo-Nazis like Richard Spencer describe themselves as ‘White Zionists’. As Mick Davies said:

It is an uncomfortable but increasingly apparent truth that there are a small number of fringe groups and individuals within the Jewish community who could, by any definition, be described as far right.

It is an even more uncomfortable truth that the supporters of the far-Right in the Jewish community are no longer a fringe.
