UPDATE:  Chris Williamson is replacing Howard Beckett who had to pull out

If there was one message that I emphasised in the past 5 years it was that when they expelled Jackie Walker, Marc Wadsworth and myself it wasn’t us they were interested in.  We were collateral damage. The real target was Jeremy Corbyn. Unfortunately Corbyn chose not to listen and now he has become the victim of his and Jennie Formby’s own witchhunt.

On 22nd July Canary reported that Adam Cailler of the Jewish Telegraph had tweeted, based on ‘a few Labour sources’ that Starmer would suspend Jeremy Corbyn. This was picked up by David Collier, one of the Zionist ghouls behind the fake ‘anti-Semitism’ campaign.

Assuming that Cailler hadn’t recently come into possession of a crystal ball then it is a fair bet that this was leaked by Starmer’s office to test the water.

This appeared 3 months ago - it is clear Corbyn's suspension was planned months ago

The statement that Corbyn issued after the release of the EHRC Report had nothing to do with his suspension. It was merely a pretext, just as Rebecca Long-Bailey’s retweet of Maxine Peake ‘anti-Semitic conspiracy theories’ was also a pretext for her dismissal.

If Starmer had long planned the suspension of Corbyn then we can be sure that this was done with a view to his expulsion not reinstatement. The belief of some like Jon Trickett that he will be reinstated is just wishful thinking. Starmer’s promise to unify the party and carry on with Corbyn’s manifesto pledges was always worthless. He was brought in to purge the Left not unite with it. Expelling those who disagree with you whilst putting hard right-wingers like Rachel Reeves at the heart of his shadow cabinet.

This was posted 3 months ago

Momentum and the ‘Socialist’ Campaign Group are clinging to their illusions whilst Ian Lavery tells fellow MPs to keep their heads down. Momentum first issued statement which protested that “This suspension risks politicising Labour's response to antisemitism.”

After 5 years Momentum’s co-chairs, Scattergood and Sriskanthan, are still no wiser as to what the ‘anti-Semitism’ campaign of the Right was about. They still think that the Labour Right, which has never once in its long history displayed any concern over racism against Black and Muslim people, is genuinely concerned about anti-Semitism. The same creatures who supported the ‘hostile environment’ policy which resulted in the deportation of hundreds of Black British citizens have somehow developed an acute sensitivity to anti-Semitism.  And not only them but the whole of the gutter press, from the Sun and Mail to the Guardian.

I have yet to hear a credible explanation or indeed any explanation as to why the Sun and the Mail, which employed Katie Hopkins who believes refugees are ‘cockroaches’ are so concerned about anti-Semitism. Perhaps it’s because ‘anti-Semitism’ is a weapon against the left instead of being a genuine phenomenon?

The Conclusions of the EHRC's Report were reached in advance of its writing - they were forced to delete critical comments on Chris Williamson

Who do Momentum think that Margaret Hodge, Tom Watson, Luciana Berger, all of whom drove the ‘anti-Semitism’ witchhunt, represent? Why should Tom Watson, who supported to the bitter end racist Labour MP Phil Woolas when the High Court forced him out of Parliament, be concerned about anti-Semitism? Watson confessed to having ‘lost sleep’ thinking about ‘poor Phil’.

Instead Momentum pathetically plead that the suspension ‘should be immediately lifted in the interests of party unity.’

Where have these blockheads been living?  Starmer’s only interest is in driving out the left from the Labour Party. If Momentum don’t recognise this it’s because they are wedded to the same reformist illusions as Lansman.

Momentum’s co-chairs describe the EHRC Report in completely uncritical terms as if the EHRC was a neutral, anti-racist body and not the Tory plaything it is currently. Scatterbrain says that:

for many it will make for difficult reading. It concludes that the Labour Party complaints process for antisemitism is inadequate, and expresses concern that the current process does not ensure fair and transparent sanctioning of antisemitism complaints. It also finds unlawful acts to have been committed by former Labour Party agents.

Realising that this statement was hopeless Momentum’s leaders then issued a second statement which was even worse.

‘The suspension of Jeremy Corbyn by the Labour Party leadership is a factional attack on the left that inevitably undermines the fight against anti-semitism and makes a mockery of Keir Starmer’s pledge to unite the Party. Tonight our Party is more divided than ever.’ (my emphasis)

As if to underline that a ruthless purge is underway, London Regional Staff pulled the plug literally on the Zoom software on a London Regional Meeting which was about to discuss a motion condemning the suspension of Corbyn.

The reaction of Mick Moore, a London representative of Momentum was that ‘unity within Labour is “being systematically undermined by a culture of control-freakery and forced silence”. Wake up to reality Mick.  And what are you going to do about it with your 25,000 members?

New Momentum Chairs Scatterbrain and Sriskanthan are no different from Jon Lansman whose supporters they replaced

The new Momentum Forward leadership barely differs politically from Lansman’s Momentum. They still don’t get it that the ‘fight against anti-Semitism’ was a fight against the Palestinians. That is why, despite his concern over ‘anti-Semitism’ Starmer has refused even to meet with Palestinian representatives.  His declaration to the Times of Israel:

‘I said it loud and clear — and meant it — that I support Zionism without qualification.”

demonstrates that Starmer is a fully paid up racist when it comes to the victims of Zionism and the sooner people recognise this the better.

Momentum's 'solidarity' rally with Corbyn hauled up the white flag as they all pledge to 'fight antisemitism' still not realising that the 'antisemitism' weapon was devised to remove Corbyn

Momentum held a rally last Friday.  Below is a report which was posted by Tina Werkman of Labour Left Alliance:

‘In last night’s shockingly tame Momentum rally, speaker after speaker repeated the lie that the Labour Party has a huge problem with anti-Semitism (culminating in John McDonnell’s renewed apology). Deborah Herrmans from Momentum said that, “the priority for the party must be who we improve how we tackle antisemitism”.

Not a word was said in solidarity with the thousands of other victims of the campaign of the right. Nobody dared to say the word ‘witch-hunt’. Richard Burgon welcomed a Labour government under Keir Starmer. Diane Abbott and every single Momentum speaker called for the full implementation of the EHRC report, which includes the setting up of an “independent” disciplinary process with the help of “Jewish stakeholders” (and they don’t mean Jewish Voice for Labour).

This is clearly inadequate – in effect, the mainstream Labour Left has given up. There is little point in staying in Starmer’s Labour Party if you are not prepared to fight!

Brighton and Hove Labour Left Alliance and many Labour members, including those who have been unjustly suspended or expelled in the latest purge, aren’t willing to accept that they should be sacrificial lambs for Zionism. The mass expulsions which are now taking place, have nothing to do with anti-Semitism and everything to do with Zionism and Israel.

That was why Labour came under severe pressure from the Zionists to adopt the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism which deliberately conflates genuine anti-Semitism, hostility and hatred of Jews, to anti-Zionism and support for the Palestinians.

Independent Socialist Councillor Kate Knight

We have four speakers including Howard Beckett, the Assistant General Secretary of UNITE and Nicki Brennan, Councillor for East Brighton, who was ‘investigated’ by Starmer’s witchhunters and decided to quit Labour at the same time as another Labour councillor, Kate Knight. Greg Hadfield, who was removed as the elected Secretary of the District Labour Party and myself, the first Jewish expellee from the party, are also speaking.

What is being called 'bitchgate' - Carmen Appich is the real face of Starmer's Labour

Kate Knight, who earlier this year quit the Labour Party, has recently been the recipient of the kinder, gentle politics of Starmer’s clones on Brighton and Hove Council.  The Chair of the Equalities Committee no less, Carmen Appich, called Kate a ‘bitch’ when she joined a meeting of the 70 strong housing management panel being held on Zoom. Fortunately she had not bothered to mute herself so her comments resounded around the meeting and everyone could know what an unpleasant individual she is as well as a hypocrite. Appich later apologised for what she called a ‘horrible mistake’ but it’s difficult to know how a comment such as that can be a mistake.  The mistake was in not muting herself.

No one bears a greater responsibility on the Left for the suspension and pending expulsion of Corbyn than John McDonnell, who leapt to the defence of Margaret Hodge who should have been expelled - McDonnell scabbed throughout

If Corbyn is now be expelled by the same fast track procedures that Corbyn himself introduced then it will be a sort of justice.  He will understand just what injustices were done to hundreds of ordinary members. He is a fool who built the scaffold that may be used to hang him with.  Nonetheless we should support him because his proposed expulsion is a dagger aimed at the heart of the left. What is need is a vigorous campaign of non-compliance with David Evan’s dictats within the Labour Party.

What will but utterly useless is to think that mild pressure on Starmer will persuade him against expelling Corbyn.

All socialists welcome to attend.  Joining details below:

Brighton and Hove's Labour Administration is Brought Down by the Fake ‘Anti-Semitism’ Campaign as 3 Councillors Resign or are Suspended

Starmer and Labour’s Racist Right hand control of a Labour Council to the Green Party

In barely a week Brighton and Hove Council has changed hands.  Labour, which previously ran the Council as the largest party, with 20 seats to the Green’s 19, has lost 3 councillors to the Zionist ‘anti-Semitism’ witchhunt.
One, Ann Pissaridou was suspended and assume to have lost the whip although it seems she has been kept in the group to sustain Labour’s majority. Kate Knight was immediately suspended for a series of social media posts which defended Jeremy Corbyn and poured scorn on the fake anti-Semitism campaign.
Quite amazingly retweeting a statement by the Jewish Socialists Group counts as ‘anti-Semitism’ under Starmer’s Orwellian regime. ‘Anti-Semitism’ now means anything Israel’s supporters want it to mean.
Free Speech under Sir Keir has become one more casualty of the Zionist lobby. After being suspended Kate promptly resigned from the Labour Party.
For taking part in a picket of the Council in October 2018 against the IHRA Nikki Brennan was put under 'investigation' and removed as Vice Chair of the Housing sub-committee - 17 Brighton Black and Muslim organisations wrote opposing the IHRA but B&H Council chose to listen to the White supporters of the Israeli state - the Green Councillors voted in the same lobby as the Tories and Labour
A third councillor, Nikki Brennan, who had been under ‘investigation’ for having taken part in a lobby of the Council in October 2018 against their adoption of the IHRA, also resigned from the Labour Party. She had been subject to considerable bullying by right-wing members of the Labour group. This left the Greens as the largest party with 19 members compared to Labour’s 18.
Isaac Herzog, former leader of the Israeli Labor Party, complained of being seen as an 'Arab lover' - the National Front in Britain used to call us 'nigger lovers' - this is who Keir Starmer's bed mates are
What is outrageous is that this McCarthyite witchhunt is being led by the Jewish Labour Movement, the overseas wing of the almost extinct Israeli Labor Party. The ILP, which for 30 years controlled every Israeli government now has just 3 seats in Israel’s Knesset and is tipped to lose them at the next election.
The Israeli Labor Party is the racist party which carried out the expulsion of ¾ million Palestinian refugees in 1948 and created the structures of Israeli Apartheid that exist today. It is a party which supports the deportation of Israel’s Black African refugees, because they aren’t Jewish and supports the segregation of Jews and Arabs. Its ‘sister party’ the JLM is therefore in an ideal position to judge what is and is not ‘anti-Semitic’.
Kate Knight was suspended for posting that there was no ‘anti-Semitism’ crisis in the Labour Party. This is the view of 77% of Labour’s membership. However telling the truth doesn’t make you immune from being called an ‘anti-Semite’. Today, as we always said, the witchhunt is about criticism of Israel not hatred of Jews, the traditional definition of anti-Semitism.
These tweets got Kate Knight suspended - free speech has been abolished under Starmer
Mere denial of being anti-Semitic is itself proof of ‘anti-Semitism’. This is the kind of ‘justice’ that now operates under Keir Starmer, a former Director of Public Prosecutions, in the Labour Party. It is unfortunate that Jeremy Corbyn, being the weak leader that he was, laid the basis for what Starmer is now presiding over. One can only hope that Sir Keir doesn’t propose that in future, if someone pleads innocent in court that that is not considered proof of guilt!
For holding a placard telling the truth, Nikki Brennan was placed under investigation by Zionists and racists
Councillor Nikki Brennan, who was under ‘investigation’ for having taken part in a demonstration against the Council adopting the IHRA ‘definition’ of anti-Semitism, also chose to resign. The IHRA is a definition that anti-Semites such as Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban are quite happy with. It is a ‘definition’ of anti-Semitism which redefines anti-Semitism as criticism of Israel and Zionism as opposed to hostility to Jews.
If you call Israel a racist state, which it clearly is, then you are called 'antisemitic' - in other words the assumption is that all Jews are racist supporters of Zionism and Israel
The tragedy is that Jeremy Corbyn thought he could appease the Zionist lobby, who are the outriders for western imperialism.  Pathetically he appeased and apologised never once realising that the more he apologised the more they would come after him. As Mick McGahey, the miners’ leader once said, “They’ll stop chasing you, when you stop running.” Corbyn never stopped running or throwing his friends overboard.
The 3 Councillors Should Form an Independent Socialist Group on Brighton Council
Labour’s Racist Right are quite happy to destroy left-wing Labour councils if they think it will destroy the left in the Labour Party. The Labour Right are quite happy to hand power to their political opponents, in this case the Greens. There has never been any difference between their foreign policy, such as support for NATO and imperialist wars, and that of the Tories.  It’s called bipartisanship. Zionism is the policy of the Tory and ruling class foreign policy and this is why Starmer is a self-declared 100% Zionist. As he told the Times of Israel:
“I do support Zionism. I absolutely support the right of Israel to exist as a homeland. My only concern is that Zionism can mean slightly different things to different people, and… to some extent it has been weaponized. I wouldn’t read too much into that. I said it loud and clear — and meant it — that I support Zionism without qualification.”
Tony Greenstein and Nikki Brennan standing next to each other on picket of Council meeting
The suggestion that Zionism ‘means slightly different things to different people’ demonstrates why Starmer is a 100% racist. To him the Palestinians are invisible.  The idea that Palestinians who have been expelled from their homes, tortured, tear gassed, bombed and seen their land and homes demolished see Zionism in the same way as the Zionists is obscene.
It is like saying that the Jews saw Nazism in the same way as the Nazis.  It is an absurd and ridiculous comment from the ruling class dummy who now leads the Labour Party. That Corbyn appointed Starmer as his Shadow Brexit Secretary, despite his participation in the chicken coup, is testimony to his lousy judgement.
Quoting Gideon Levy, a journalist on Israel's Ha'aretz was enough to get Anne Pissaridou suspended for 'antisemitism'
What the 3 councillors should do now is work together as an independent socialist group on Brighton and Hove Council. Given that she is suspended Anne Pissaridou would do well to resign. They have more chance of remaining councillors and being re-elected in 2023 working together than remaining separate.
3 Academy Trusts have been forced to pull out of bidding for Moulsecoomb Primary School thanks to the opposition of a local working class campaign
Kate Knight has led the Hands off Our School Campaign in Moulsecoomb - from which Daniel Yates has been absent
Kate Knight has led the campaign in her Moulsecoomb ward against the attempt of the government to turn the local primary school into an academy. There has been fierce resistance by local working class parents against no less than 3 academy trusts who have been forced to pull out by determined resistance from parents and the National Education Union.
One Trust, the New Academy Trust, complained that
“Opposition for New Horizon’s sponsorship of Moulsecoomb from parents, staff and Brighton politicians has been strong, with protests and even a mock funeral being staged.
Daniel Yates - Racist, Zionist and Labour Councillor for Moulsecoomb
One of the 2 other Labour councillors is Daniel Yates, a fanatical non-Jewish Zionist and racist who as leader forced the Council to adopt the Zionist agenda of redefining anti-Semitism as criticism of Israel as opposed to hostility to Jews. Yates has played no part in the anti-academy campaign. Previously he chaired the local Health & Wellbeing Board which was charged by NHS England with implementing cuts to the NHS.
Moulsecoomb's Right-wing Labour Councillors Amanda Grimshaw and Daniel Yates have no principled objection to an academy - under Blair academies were foisted on schools
This is the same Daniel Yates who told the Argus that he was ‘“ashamed” after the suspension of a fellow Labour councillor.  Yates wasn’t ashamed that the Labour Party initiated the ‘hostile environment’ policy which led to the deportation of hundreds of Black British citizens or which supplied weapons to Saudi Arabia.
Nor was Yates ashamed that socialists and anti-racists are suspended by Labour at the behest of Israel, the world’s only Apartheid state. A state whose own Prime Minister declares that Israel is not a state of all of its citizens, but only those who are Jewish.  But that is, of course, what a ‘Jewish’ state is all about and what the IHRA misdefinition of ‘anti-Semitism’ is designed to protect.
The real agenda of people like Yates is demonstrated by the reaction of Keir Starmer to the news that Rachel Reeve MP, a member of his shadow cabinet, who tweeted in support of Lady Nancy Astor, an ardent Hitler supporter and a member of the pro-Nazi Cliveden set, who cheered the Nazi takeover of the Rhineland in 1936.
Astor once told MP Alan Graham "only a Jew like you would dare to be rude to me" and told US ambassador Joseph Kennedy that it would have to take much more than Hitler giving "a rough time" to "the killers of Christ" before supporting the launch of "Armageddon to save them", according to the book The Kennedys at War: 1937-1945. Strangely enough, Starmer refused to even discuss Reeve’s support of Astor on the grounds she wasn’t present at Labour’s National Executive Committee.
Neither the Board of Deputies nor the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism were at all bothered by this genuine example of anti-Semitism as Rachel Reeves is a signed up Zionist. Zionism has never objected to genuine anti-Semitism as long as the anti-Semites supported Zionism.

Nikki Brennan, who was forced out of her position as Vice-Chair of the Housing Committee, has been a long-time campaigner over housing issues and against homelessness in the City. She too is an active campaigning councillor in her East Brighton, mainly Whitehawk, part of Brighton.
Both councillors have a chance of being re-elected in their own right as part of an independent socialist group that challenges the increasingly ineffective Labour group led by Nancy Platts, a former Corbyn supporter who is desperately trying to appease the right-wing of the group and the local Zionists. See my Open Letter to Platts.
It is likely that more Labour councillors will be subject to the ‘anti-Semitism’ witchhunt as the Labour Right seek to eliminate supporters of Corbyn from the Group. The Labour Right has no qualms in handing over power to the Green Party.  Brighton’s Greens when they were last in power were no different from the Tories or Lib Dems.
Last time around - the Greens came into conflict with the Refuse Workers and behaved like Green Tories
The Greens almost immediately they came into office sought a conflict with the refuse workers which they lost.
The Greens also imposed on Brighton, with the support of the Tories, the white elephant called the ‘i360’ otherwise known as ‘the eyesore’.  A tall vertical column with a pod containing people which goes up and down it has lost money from the start. It promised to make Brighton £1m a year and the Greens were gullible enough to believe it. The original £36.2 loan from the Public Sector Loan Board has now gone up to £38.9m.
Nor am I being wise after the event.  In July 2015 I wrote a column in the Argus warning that ‘the best laid plans of men and mice often go awry. What if demand is less than expected?’ I described it as ‘ill thought-out’ and ‘an overpriced elevator and nothing like the ‘heritage centre’ it describes itself as.’ £38.9m later and rising I have unfortunately been proved correct.  The £39m debt is some 5% of Brighton Council’s overall budget.
All of this is, of course, of no consequence to Daniel Yates. Having the Greens take power is a small price to pay for getting rid of socialists and anti-racists.
My advice to the remaining socialists in the Labour Group is to think very carefully about whether or not they should form an arrangement with a new Independent Socialist Group or indeed whether they should join them.

Brighton and Hove Labour Party Emerges as the Largest Party in the Local Elections Despite the Best Efforts of the Zionists

Tweeting Your Opposition to Israeli Apartheid Can Get You Suspended as the racist Jewish Labour Movement makes clear their opposition to a Corbyn led Labour Party

Below is a photo of Greg Hadfield who was part of Alex's leafleting team - despite being suspended, Alex obtained the highest vote of the labour candidates

The election results were Labour 20 (23), Tories 14 (20) and Green 19 (11) Independent 1 (0) with the 2015 election results in brackets.
In fact Labour held 20 seats prior to the elections because there had been 2 defections to the TIG group, including former leader Warren Morgan and one councillor, Ann Meadows, crossed the floor and joined the Tories.

Meadows, a councillor for 20 years stood again for the Tories and obtained just 627 votes, 47 votes ahead of the next Tory and 23 votes below the third placed Green!  The Labour candidates all gained over 1,500 votes which demonstrated that after 20 years as a councillor she hadn’t secure a personal following, thus proving the wisdom of deselecting her.
In Wish Ward, Momentum supporter and the only Black woman standing, Alex Braithwaite was suspended. Her offence was to call into question the fake anti-Semitism campaign supported by the Tory press.  According to The Argus her offence was that
‘She retweeted an article by Vox Political entitled ‘A general election is in the offing – time for another anti-Semitism smear against Jeremy Corbyn’
According to that well known anti-racist paper, the Daily Mail Alex ‘shared messages supporting Ken Livingstone and claiming the Rothschild family controlled the European Central Bank.’
The Nazis struck a coin, with the Zionist Star of David on one side and the Swastika on the other after the Head of the Jewish Desk in the Gestapo , Baron von Mildenstein, came back from a 6 months visit to Zionist settlements in Palestine. The Zionists were delighted at the time but now referring to Zionist relations with the Nazis is 'antisemitic'
Even worse ‘she posted a cartoon which suggested the BBC was controlled by the ‘terrorist state’ of Israel.’
Supporting Ken Livingstone is now part of the definition of anti-Semitism! Suffice to say sharing a tweet five years ago about the Rothschilds hardly counts as anti-Semitism either.
The Sussex Jewish Representative Council (which is fronted by Fiona Sharpe of Sussex Friends of Israel) sent this tweet:
“We are very concerned by a tweet from Labour candidate, Alex Braithwaite.
“Once again she has questioned and belittled the allegations of anti-Semitism within the Labour Party.
“More than this, she again suggests that it is concocted to ‘smear’ Jeremy Corbyn.”
So questioning the fake anti-Semitism smear campaign is itself proof of ‘anti-Semitism’. Just as challenging the claims of witchcraft in Salem could earn you a place on the gallows.
Every week the Jewish Chronicle runs a new story accusing Corbyn of ‘anti-Semitism’. This week there is a bonus. The next has been extended to John Prescott, Labour’s former Deputy Prime Minister for suggesting that the fake anti-Semitism campaign is about Israel!
John Hobson's classic book on Imperialism
And as if to prove Alex and John Prescott are correct the Jewish Chronicle Editor and former Daily Express editor, Stephen Pollard, wrote an editorial Hobson’s Voice, which openly called Jeremy Corbyn an anti-Semite. Pollard wrote
Week after week, more evidence emerges cementing the inescapable conclusion that Jeremy Corbyn is an antisemite. So, once again, we pose this question to mainstream, decent Labour MPs: How can you, in all conscience, work towards making a racist politician Prime Minister?
Those who campaign to put today’s Labour into power are, inescapably, working to put an antisemite into Ten Downing Street.
Outrageous McCarthyism against someone who, unlike Pollard, has spent his whole life fighting racism, anti-Semitism included.
The subject of Pollard’s ire is the foreword that Jeremy Corbyn wrote in 2011 to John Hobson’s 1902 book, Imperialism: A Study. The book Imperialism some 8 years ago.  Hobson like so many people a century or more ago believed that Jews were the centre of world finance.  Many Zionists like Theodor Herzl also wrote about the ‘terrible power of our purse’.  However malevolent racists and defamers like the Guardian’s Jonathan Freedland forget about Zionism’s anti-Semitic pedigree, included its alliances with anti-Semites like Viktor Orban and Steve Bannon today.
As Guerilla Wire points out in a 1995 pamphlet for the Fabians (page 11), Tony Blair described Hobson as “probably the most famous Liberal convert to what was then literally ‘new Labour’.” – strangely no mention of ‘anti-Semitism’ there.  Likewise in his 2005 Chatham House speech on liberty and the role of the state, Gordon Brown cited Hobson with approval – also nothing was said about ‘anti-Semitism’.
Indeed despite the fulminations of the Guardian’s racist and Zionist columnist Jonathan Freedland, the cover of the 2011 edition to which Jeremy Corbyn wrote the foreword, carries a Guardian review which said ‘Hobson’s Imperialism belongs to the small group of books in the years from 1900 to the outbreak of war that have definitely changed the contours of social thought.’
Again no mention of ‘anti-Semitism’ and in 2015 the Guardian’s former political editor Michael White wrote:
“At his Nottingham rally someone thrust into my hand a copy of JA Hobson’s influential classic, Imperialism (1902) whose 2011 edition contains Jeremy’s own perfectly decent introductory essay. Its analysis will impress many”.
Strangely enough Michael White made no mention of ‘anti-Semitism’.
If anything proves that the ‘anti-Semitism’ campaign against Corbyn and people like Alex Braithwaite is fake then the attacks on Corbyn over his review of a classic text on Imperialism by John Hobson proves it definitively.
It’s not surprising Corbyn didn’t mention the 10 or so anti-Semitic lines in a book of 400 pages because they were wholly irrelevant. As Guerilla Wire says:
Phil Miller quoted Glyn Secker, secretary of Jewish Voice for Labour:
“Daniel Finkelstein, in his scurrilous piece for the Times (April 30th), ingeniously cobbles together quotes from two different books by Hobson . . . (he) does in one passage make a reference to the Jewish element in international finance and to the Rothschilds as did many others at that time. But he also referred to JP Morgan and Cecil Rhodes — neither of them Jewish — as examples of financiers backing imperialism”.
In other words the racist duo, Finkelstein and Freedland, deliberately manufactured a story out of nothing with the sole intention of  maligning Corbyn.

The Editor of the Jewish Chronicle, Stephen Pollard, has form.  When the Tories formed an alliance with anti-Semitic parties in the European Parliament in 2009 they were attacked by the then Foreign Secretary David Miliband. Who defended the Tories?  Stephen Pollard, who wrote that Michal Kaminski, the Polish Law & Justice Party MEP was “one of the greatest friends to the Jews in a town where anti-Semitism and a visceral loathing of Israel are rife.’ And it is true.  Besides being an anti-Semite, Kaminski was, like Trump and Bannon and many others, a strong Zionist.  Because Pollard defines anti-Semitism in terms of Israel not Jews. Whereas to most people anti-Semitism is hatred of Jews to Pollard anti-Semitism is criticism of Israel.
Once upon a time Jonathan Freedland called out genuine racists and anti-Semites including Jewish Chronicle Editor Stephen Pollard
Ironically on this occasion Freedland waxed lyrical about Kaminski and his fascist origins. He wrote in an opinion piece:
there was a time when no self-respecting British politician would have gone anywhere near such people. Kaminski began his career in the National Rebirth of Poland movement, inspired by a 1930s fascist ideology that dreamed of a racially pure nation. Even today, the PiS slogan is "Poland for Poles" … In 2001 he upbraided the president for daring to apologise for a 1941 pogrom in the town of Jedwabne which left hundreds of Jews dead. Kaminski said there was nothing to apologise for – at least not until Jews apologised for what he alleged was the role Jewish partisans and Jewish communists had played alongside the Red Army in Poland.
Today Freedland sings a different tune alongside Pollard. However that is no reason why the Labour Party should sing the same song.
Alex Braithwaite’s offence was being an anti-Zionist not an anti-Semite. Hove must be one of the most anti-Semitic places in Britain! Although the Tories retained Wish Ward the other Labour candidate gained 1,107 votes whereas Alex gained 1,275, 168 or 15% more votes! Despite the false claims of Fiona Sharpe that Jewish voters in the ward would be concerned, voters made it very clear what they thought of these false allegations.
The sooner that the Labour Party begins to stand up to this bogus campaign from the Jewish Labour Movement and Zionist pressure groups, the sooner the anti-Semitism issue will be put to bed. The JLM have made it clear that they will not support a Labour Government led by Jeremy Corbyn.  This racist group should be disaffiliated immediately.
Right-wing Labour candidate defeated in Hanover - member of Apartheid supporting Jewish Labour Movement (although she's not Jewish)
The results for Labour in Brighton were mixed. In Hollingdean and Stanmer Ward, Labour lost one of its seats to the Greens. Phil Clarke, former General Secretary of the Trades Council was defeated by 56 votes. In Preston Park Ward, Labour lost its two councilors as the Green Party won all 3 seats. An excellent local activist Denise Frend was defeated but the consolation prize was the defeat of JLM member, the racist Julie Cattell who belongs with Chuka Ummuna’s TIG. Likewise in Hanover and Elm Grove, although Danielle Spencer, a Momentum supporter was defeated another JLM supporter Emma Daniels was defeated, a clear victory for anti-racism.
Daniel Yates, Blairite leader of Labour Group, member of racist JLM who banned the public from the election count for the first time ever
In Queens Park a strong challenge by the Greens meant that Labour lost one of the 3 seats and Momentum supporter Colin Piper.  A number of good socialists were elected in wards such as in Moulsecoomb where Kate Knight was elected and East Brighton where Nikki Brennan was elected. Overall the balance in the Labour Group is estimated as tilting towards the left. Currently the leader Daniel Yates is a Blairite and member of the JLM. It is to be hoped that he is replaced by a socialist.
I also found it strange that for the first time ever, under Yate's undemocratic administration, local people were refused access to the election announcements unless they had pre-existing passes. I await an explanation.
There can be no doubt that the campaign waged by the Right of the Labour Party in Brighton & Hove aimed at destroying the chances of success in the local elections. In this they were unsuccessful. Prominent amongst these were Luke Stanger, a racist who believes that Travellers are a ‘nasty blight’.  But although Stanger has been suspended the kid glove treatment he has been afforded makes it clear that ‘anti-Semitism’ is a privileged form of racism in the Labour Party today.
