Open Letter to George Galloway – There is only one issue in the Holborn-St. Pancras By-Election – Labour’s Support for Genocide in Gaza

Two Years Ago in Rochdale You Said that Gaza was the Main Issue – What Has Changed? The Genocide is Still Continuing

In March 2024 at the count in the Rochdale by-election, which Galloway won with a stunning 40% of the vote, he said that Gaza was the main issue.

Arch-Zionist Luke Akehurst is Canvassing for Labour in Camden - is George Galloway Really Going to Help Her?

Now however the issue is not Gaza or Genocide or Zionism. Galloway is reported as saying that his decision to stand as a candidate in the Holborn and St Pancras by-election is his differences with Zack Polanski over Ukraine and trans-rights. Gaza and Israel’s blitzkrieg in the Middle East has been forgotten. It seems that the real issue is George’s huge ego and his inability to stay out of the limelight.

Chris Williamson was right to resign as Deputy Leader of the Workers Party of Britain. The only choice in the election is between Polanski of the Green Party and Sagal Abdi-Wali, of the Labour Party. There is no other choice.

As The Standard said, Polanski has gained a huge boost from the backing of Andrew Feinstein, the former ANC MP and socialist who gained 7,312 votes in 2024 against the notorious liar, the unlamented Keir Starmer. Whereas Andrew gained 18.9% of the vote Starmer, despite being the incumbent Prime Minister, had a swing of 17.3% against him.

Polanski is clearly the anti-Genocide candidate standing against Labour’s genocide supporting candidate. For Galloway to stand, when it is clear he is going to get a derisory vote on a par with the 1.4% and 489 votes he obtained in Tom Watson’s old seat of West Bromwich East in 2019, or perhaps the 0.5% and 164 votes that Peter Ford of the Workers Party obtained in the 2025 by-election in Runcorn, demonstrates that Galloway’s hatred of the Green Party, or is it Polanski, is greater than his hatred of the Labour Party.

1.4% may be the difference between Polanski winning and losing. Galloway has always said that Palestine is for him the key issue yet here he is threatening to help the party of genocide, the Labour Party, win the election.

The reality is that Galloway’s primary concern has always been himself. He has never subordinated his own ego to the greater good. How can he be serious and say that trans rights is the main issue?  This is an issue that divides the left. It is an issue that the right-wing has campaigned on vociferously demonising anyone who doesn’t fit into the binary of male or female.

Given the attacks of Trump, Sunak and the far-right against transgender people one would expect anyone serious about left politics not to join in trans-baiting.

Galloway has always had a bad record on issues of sexuality. In an interview with Novara Media Galloway said:

“I don’t want my children prematurely sexualised at all, I don’t want them taught that some things are normal when their parents don’t believe that they’re normal.”

He has opposed gay sex being treated as normal in the context of sex education in schools.

He has also had the Tate brothers on his Moats show. Andrew and Tristan Tate are notorious for building a massive online following by promoting extreme misogyny, hyper-masculinity, and luxury lifestyles, alongside facing criminal charges including human trafficking, rape, and sexual exploitation.

It is no surprise that Galloway finds the Tate brothers attractive, despite Andrew Tate being removed from Big Brother in 2016 after a video showed him attacking a woman with a belt.

The jury is out on whether Galloway can even be described as on the left. He made his name as a firebrand in Scotland, Chair of the Scottish Labour Party and the person who ousted Roy Jenkins of the SDP from his Glasgow Hillhead seat in 1997. He has represented 4 different constituencies including Bradford West, Bethnal Green and Bow and last of all Rochdale.

His attitude to refugees and asylum seekers has been little different to the far-right. In May 2021 hundreds of Glaswegians prevented the thugs of Priti Patel’s snatch squads from seizing and deporting refugees by surrounding their van. Nicola Sturgeon supported them. But Galloway vented his spleen instead against those who freed the refugees rather than the racist Priti Patel and the Home Office:

“A devolved assembly has openly and unlawfully defied the implementation of a UK government decision,”

Galloway indulged in what Mark Brown described as ‘bilious refugee baiting.’

Galloway has always has been a bitter opponent of Scottish devolution and independence. This ‘bilious unionism’ perhaps explains his support for Brexit and his attempt to stand for the Brexit Party of Nigel Farage. Although according to The Spectator he has now changed his mind and supports independence for Scotland.

At the time of the 2016 referendum over Brexit he appeared on the same platform as Nigel Farage and compared their relationship to that between Winston Churchill and Stalin. Galloway’s high points – his confrontation with US Senators over Iraq and the Rochdale by-election are unfortunately matched by his low points such as support for the Brexit party in the 2019 European elections.

Perhaps the only principle he has maintained throughout his career is support for George Galloway. One can only hope that he has second thoughts and doesn’t end up supporting the party of Genocide in Gaza, the Labour Party.

I have therefor written an Open Letter to Galloway in the hope that he will reconsider his egotistical decision to stand.

Good Riddance to the Most Hated Prime Minister in British History

Starmer’s Legacy Will Be That He Supplied Weapons to and Defended Israel’s Genocide in Gaza Whilst Destroying Civil Liberties in Britain

Mehdi Hassan Interviews Owen Jones About His Initial Support for Starmer & What Burnham Represents

You will forgive me if I can’t help gloating at the fall of the most amoral, unprincipled liar to have darkened the doors of No. 10. Compare to Starmer even Liz ‘Lettuce’ Truss and Boris Johnson smell like roses.

Even in his resignation speech Starmer couldn’t help but lie. He claimed to have ripped out the poison of anti-Semitism from the Labour Party whereas what he did was to expel the supporters of the Palestinians, opponents of Zionism and the Genocide that he helped enable.

I Hate Keir Starmer

Starmer managed to expel a record number of Jews, anti-Zionist and anti-racist Jews of course. Being Jewish in the Labour Party meant you were five times more likely to be expelled than non Jews. This was how Starmer fought ‘anti-Semitism’.

Underneath the rhetoric, Starmer was an anti-Semite. Jews were there to legitimise British imperialism. Anti-Zionist Jews were invisible as they didn’t suit his foreign policy agenda. Anti-Semitism and Zionism have always gone together and Starmer was the personification of the anti-Semitic non-Jewish Zionist.

I am surprised though that he forgot to mention in his statement the debt he owed to Peter Mandelson. It was Mandelson who brought Morgan McSweeney in from the cold and enabled his candidacy for Labour Leader even if he was in the end responsible for triggering the process that led to his resignation.

I thought at first it was an oversight but then I realised that paying tribute to a corrupt friend of Jeffrey Epstein, a Zionist and paedophile, would have been a step too far.

There was also no mention of Starmer’s role in attacking basic civil liberties alongside a compliant judiciary. All in the name of ‘national security’. Like in all police states there is no longer a right to demonstrate or protest. There was no difference between Starmer and Sunak/Truss when it came to the constant attacks on the right to protest.

I welcome the fact that the rat has deserted the sinking ship. It is no comfort of course that Starmer’s successor, Andy Burnham, will be no different. Changing the captain when the ship is heading for the rocks will make no difference unless it also changes course.

The failure of Starmer’s ‘Labour’ Government was not simply because of his own palpable inadequacies. The problem lies with the political project that sees Labour propping up a failing imperialist state.

Despite my loathing for Starmer and all he stood for, I take pride in two things. First the fact that Starmer was the first person to welcome my expulsion from the Labour Party, with a solitary word, ‘good’. One of his characteristics is that he is a man of few words and even fewer ideas.

Like Horatio Bottomley Starmer was a corrupt right-wing nationalist but unlike him he was anything but popular. Starmer’s corruption was not so much financial, though there was  plenty of that, but a corruption of the political process. Starmer came to power through the Labour Together outfit, who hid their donations for fear of what they might reveal.

Starmer also hid the donations he received from right-wing Zionists, businessmen and crooked financiers from Labour Party voters when he stood for Labour Leader. He relied on the rules rather than being honest and open about who was funding him. His cynicism was such that he stood on a left-wing manifesto whilst relying on right-wing businessmen to fund his campaign.

Amongst those who donated to Starmer was

Lord Waheed Alli         £100,000 (he also gave financial backing to Andy Burnham in the 2015 Labour leadership contest).

Bob Latham        £100,000.

Martin Taylor      £95,000, a hedge fund manager.

Clive Hollick,       £50,000 a businessman & co-founder of the Institute for Public Policy Research.

Trevor Chinn       £50,000 a notorious Zionist who funds Labour Friends of Israel.

Peter Coates       £25,000, Bet365 owner.

Martin Clarke     £25,000, former AA finance director

Paul Myners       £10,000, ex-CEO at Marks & Spencers. Along with Martin Taylor, Myners helped finance the anti-Corbyn group Labour Tomorrow.

This totalled £455,000 compared to £81,400 from three right-wing trade unions, UNISON, Community and USDAW. This is how Starmer’s Labour Party was captured.

It was an honour and pleasure for me to know that I had antagonised Starmer to the extent that he blocked me on X. Clearly my pearls of wisdom riled him.

Alexei Sayle brought out a brilliant video ‘Why I hate Keir Starmer’ which summed Starmer up perfectly. However I don’t hate Starmer, I despise him and all he stands for.

Starmer was a man of few talents with the exception of his ability to lie. Who else could make 10 Pledges to get elected and then break every single one?

The Pledge I loved the most was No. 4 – Titled ‘Promote peace and human rights’. He said

‘No more illegal wars. Introduce a Prevention of Military Intervention Act and put human rights at the heart of foreign policy. Review all UK arms sales and make us a force for international peace and justice.’

Starmer's idea of ‘peace and human rights’ was supplying arms and intelligence to Israel so it could carry out a genocide in Gaza. Starmer denied that there was a genocide in Gaza despite Israel massacring tens of thousands of civilians, destroying 90% of buildings including hospitals and schools and ethnic cleansing, raping and torturing. But Starmer had no problem describing other massacres as genocide.

Starmer never did explain why 8,000 dead in Srebenica was a genocide but Gaza wasn’t a genocide. I doubt that even the worst neo-Nazi holocaust denier could match him.

On 2 February 2020, two months before Labour’s leadership election, I wrote a blog Keir Starmer is the candidate that the Deep State & the British  Establishment want you to vote for’ .

Unfortunately most Labour Party members weren't able to see through Starmer and his record as Director of Public Prosecutions when he persecuted Julian Assange and protected Jimmy Saville.

There is less excuse for Owen Jones who wrote an article for The Guardian 'Starmer can succeed, and he deserves our support.'  There really was no excuse for this as a cursory dive into his record as DPP would have shown he was fiercely reactionary and pro-Police and contemptuous of civil liberties.  I take no pleasure in once again being right but the reason why it was so obvious was that I looked beyond the sound bites and the wishful thinking to what Starmer's actual record was. And incidentally there was no excuse for being taken in by Starmer's nonsense about 'antisemitism' either, except that Owen Jones too had not yet seen the light.

However let it not be said that Starmer didn’t provide us with a certain amusement. The man who proclaimed his honesty and integrity ended up taking over £100,000 in freebies. The highest of any MP. Lord Ali provided him and his wife with thousands of pounds of clothes. Even her knickers were paid for by the generous Ali.

Starmer declared himself a ‘Zionist (i.e. racist) without qualification.’ And he told LBC that Israel had the right to starve the Palestinians of Gaza and cut off water and fuel, before denying he said it.

Starmer was so right-wing that even the anti-Semitic Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, praised him.

Despite being a practiced liar Starmer was never very good at it. Indeed he was never very good at anything. His speeches were wooden, like a child trying too hard, with that squeaky voice which  told us he didn’t mean a word of it.

Starmer came to power via Labour Together as Paul Holden documented in The Fraud. He then rewarded the central players in the conspiracy, including Josh Simons and Morgan McSweeney. As soon as the heat became too much Simons abandoned him for Andy Burnham leaving Starmer high and dry. The irony is that Labour Together was anything but together.

Many people have commented on Starmer’s lack of personality or charisma. In a blog ‘Mogadon Man Assumes the Leadership of the Labour Party’ straight after he was elected Labour Leader I saw that Starmer’s personality was a reflection of his dishonesty.

To Starmer truth and lies were mere matters of convenience. All that mattered was choosing which was most beneficial. Starmer settled a libel action with Labour Party staff alleging ‘anti-Semitism’, even though they didn’t have a case, because he thought that that would ‘prove’ that Labour under Corbyn was anti-Semitic. The kind of trickery that lawyers regularly engage in.

Starmer’s lack of charisma was because he believed in nothing apart from his own personal advancement. Starmer was a human rights lawyer who didn’t believe in human rights.

It was no wonder that in his first speech as Labour leader all he could do was invent a story about his father. It was tedium magnified to listen to the same story about his toolmaker father who also owned the factory he worked in! Ironically Starmer’s dad was a Jeremy Corbyn supporter. He would have turned in his grave to see how his son turned out.

None of us know whether the rent boys who tried to set fire to Starmer’s house had something on him. Difficult as it is to imagine, there is clearly more to this story than meets the eye. And the one thing they were not is agents of Russia as the BBC tells us.

Still no one can say Starmer didn’t manage to achieve anything. He obtained the second highest Labour majority on the lowest vote for a majority government (34%), 6% less than Corbyn in 2017. Starmer even managed, as an incumbent Prime Minister, to secure a lower percentage of support in his own constituency in 2024 than in 2019. His majority was halved from 22,766 in 2019 to 11,572 in 2024.

Ironically this was because of the 7,312 votes of ex-ANC MP Andrew Feinstein, who besides being a Jewish anti-Zionist is, unlike Starmer principled.

However Starmer does have one achievement to his name. Starmer was the most hated and despised Prime Minister on record.

I won’t wish Starmer well in whatever new career he takes up because there are too many dead Palestinian children who might have lived but for him.

Contrary to the view of Mehdi Hassan in the interview with Owen Jones, I don't believe that Andy Burnham represents any fundamental change with Keir Starmer. He has already made his position clear that he doesn't believe there is a Genocide in Gaza.

It's not any surprise therefore that he has been given a warm welcome by the Israel Embassy front, Labour Friends of Israel.

It is also reported that has had a blazing row with Starmer because he wants to increase 'Defence' i.e. War expenditure. If so we are  in for more of the same but with a smiling face .

I suspect that Burnham will have an equally short honeymoon to that which Starmer enjoyed or rather didn't enjoy. He supported the Iraq War and was a devoted Blairite. There is nothing left-wing about Burnham. His only virtue is not being Keir Starmer.

Brighton Remains Britain’s Anti-Fascist Capital - Over 5,000 Took to the Streets to Say – ‘No Nazis in Our City’ Despite the Best Efforts of Sussex Police

From Oswald Moseley in the 30s to the Neo-Nazis of Today’s ‘Patriots’, Brighton Remains a No-Go Area for Fascism

UPDATE

This is another perspective on the anti-fascist mobilisation on June 13th when we stopped the fascists. I was with the anti-fascists at 7 Dials before making my way down to Trafalgar Street. It highlights how the Police, who you will remember are always very concerned about ‘anti-Semitism’ did their utmost to force a way through for the fascists as they did in the 30s for the open anti-Semitic British Union of Fascists.

Despite the Police violence there were too many of us and the fascists had to hide behind the Police unable to go anywhere without police protection. The Police however were not successful and in the end gave up and the fascists in the end went back home on the trains having had an excellent view of the railway station!

By Brighton Red (A Unite Activist)

Battle lines

At around 10am antifascists began filling the square outside Brighton train station.

Police formed rows to push antifascist locals away from fascists congregating outside The Grand Central pub.

At the same time the first line of antifascist defence was formed at the bottom of Terminus Rd (opposite the side gates that gain entry to the station). The intention was to stop the fascists marching along their intended route up Terminus Road to Seven Dials and beyond.

First line of defence on Terminus Road.

There were antifascists behind us but rows of police had cut them off, so we couldn’t get reinforcements.

We could see antifascists in the square outside the station but they were cut off from us by police vans and row upon row of police.

We could see anti-fascist comrades congregating at Guildford Road and eventually some fascists made it as far as The Sussex Yeoman, where there were some scuffles. The pub was  duly surrounded by antifascists and the fascists had to be rescued by police !

First line of defence on Terminus Road.

The Battle of Terminus Road (10.45am  – 2.30pm)

At the bottom of Terminus Road things began to get nasty from about 10.45am - 11am, as police tried to clear us out of the way for the fascists.

Several ranks of riot police were formed and they began pushing and punching protestors in the head and face, kicking, even grabbing one antifascist by the hair and dragging him. It was very violent. I saw people being violently thrown around, elbows pushed into protestors necks and punches and kicks from police.

Although we had limited numbers we wouldn’t move. Antifascists were pushing back against the lines of riot police. Police then brought out mounted police who tried to smash through and clear us out.

First line of defence on Terminus Road

We still held the line and horses backed off as we stayed solid.

Eventually the numbers of police plus mounted police started to move us backwards. We were violently pushed to one side and smashed against the metal railings.

Eventually we were pushed back towards the top of Trafalgar Street but eventually we were able to rejoin comrades further up Terminus Road who were being attacked by police. Some were being violently pushed down side streets as the police sought to divide us.

Police continuously used rows to push us back, followed by charges by mounted police.

Despite this it took hours for the police to make any progress.

The Bottom of Terminus Road - The Police Were Unable to Force a Path Forward For the Fascists

After several hours we were pushed back towards the top of Terminus Road. The fascists hadn’t moved far from the station. They were way behind rows of police vans not far from the station.

At the top of Terminus Road we were joined by comrades from Seven Dials who provided much needed reinforcements. Unfortunately the police formed rows behind us again to  cut off any more antifascists joining from Seven Dials.

We were exhausted but would not move, in fact we started to push back against the police and started to make some ground at a few points.

Anti-fascist banners at the front ranks included one large one in the centre “Unite the union members against racism – fascism – Zionism” and Unite members and other comrades held it up during confrontations with police. There were banners from unions such as NEU and Brighton and Hove Trades Council. Banners supporting trans rights, LGBTQ+ and anti-fascist banners made a fantastic spectacle as we stood in solidarity.

After one final concerted effort to move us back the police realised they could not move us backwards. The mounted police were withdrawn and eventually the riot police replaced by regular police.

In a humiliating blow for the fascists and a firm rejection of everything they stand for Brighton residents forced the police backwards and the fascists were routed down Trafalgar Street.

Anti-fascists moved down towards Trafalgar Street.

The Battle of Trafalgar Street (3pm – 5pm)

Thousands of anti-fascists had formed a loud and intense block on Trafalgar Street. People lined up outside the Albert pub and outside Alushi Lebanese restaurant and Trafalgar Arches.

We chanted and sang and taunted the fascists as they were stuck in the tunnel behind rows of riot police. The mounted police did not reappear but the police were just as determined to clear a path for the fascists : using batons, riot shields, some sort of pepper spray and they were violently pushing and grabbing antifascists.

Brighton residents did not move, despite the intense pressure and lines of riot police. We pushed back and progress was virtually non-existent.

Eventually after pushing and shopping and attacking local people the police could see nothing but a sea of protestors.

There were loud jeers and taunts from locals : “You’re going home, you’re going home, you’re going – fascists going home” and “You’re stuck in a tunnel …” and lots of witty banter and songs.

The police could not move us.

The fascists could see they had lost. They began to walk back to the station with heads down.

They did not pass !

Brighton beat the fascists !

Racist Scum off our Streets

As I documented in my book, Brighton has been a no go area for fascists and racists for nearly a century. From the time of Moseley’s British Union of Fascists in the 30s, the Union Movement in the 40s, the National Front in the 70s and 80s, the EDL in 2012 and the SE Patriots today, Brighton people have fiercely resisted fascism.

Heidi can't cope with anti-fascists. She prefers fascists and neo-Nazis

As Sussex Friends of Israel and Heidi Bachram, the Goy Zionist, racist and police nark make clear, whereas once upon a time there were Zionists, like Lord Lewis Cohen of Brighton who were involved in anti-fascist activity, today the Zionists work with fascists and neo-Nazis.

What a shame! The Nazis stuck in a tunnel!

‘This is What Community Looks Like’ was one of the favourite slogans of yesterday’s anti-fascist mobilisation. Thousands of people, young and old, took pride in the fact that Brighton says no to the purveyors of hate and racism.

Anti-fascist protesters surround the Sussex Yeoman pub where some fascists had taken refuge

The slogan also reflects the fact that it wasn’t just the 5,000+ demonstrators who were saying no to the fascists but the community as a whole. Householders came out to support the demonstrators and helped us circumvent police cordons.

As usual Sussex Police, who purport to be concerned about ‘hate’ crime when it comes to defending Zionists (they call it ‘anti-Semitism’) were once again doing their best to force a racist march through our city.

In 2012 when the English Defence League marched in Brighton the fascists got less than a quarter of the way along their intended route before the Police shoved them down Church Street.

The Battle of Trafalgar Street, Brighton 13 June 2026

This time the fascists barely got out of Brighton station. Having failed to march towards the 7 Dials area, a third of a mile, they were trapped in the tunnel underneath the station in Trafalgar Street. They didn’t get to see the sea or get some Brighton rock!

Having been trapped underneath the station the fascists were led back to the station so that the rats could travel back to the sewers they reside in.

Brighton Will Be Fascist Free - Fascists Prevented from Marching to the 7 Dials

One major difference with last time was the proliferation of Palestinian  flags. Brighton’s anti-racists made it very clear that our anti-racism is indivisible. Anti-racism is international or it is nothing which meant we also opposed the apartheid State of Israel. The only thing missing was the usual Israeli flags on the fascist march.

There was a time, in the distant past, when Zionists like Miriam Karlin were supporters of anti-fascism. When I was Secretary of Brighton Anti-Nazi League in the 70s and 80s we had some young Zionists who took part in our work, although even then the Board of Deputies were more concerned about anti-Zionism  than opposition to neo-Nazis.

Today no Zionist makes any pretence to anti-fascism. Tommy Robinson openly identifies as a Zionist. Donald Trump is their best friend. Islamophobia and Zionism go together like Hansel and Gretel. The BOD is stuffed with Islamophobes and fascist apologists.

The whole of Saturday was one joyful celebration of anti-racism and anti-fascism. ‘Refugees are welcome here’ was a constant slogan rebutting the BBC/Reform narrative that migrants and refugees are a ‘problem’. Instead of the miserable Reform types who are always looking for someone who is weak to blame for society’s problems we had people coming together and feeling our collective strength.

Capitalism atomises people whereas socialism is about coming together. That is why one of Thatcher’s main reforms in trade union law was to stop mass meetings calling strikes and instead relegate everything to secret ballots which judges could then overturn on absurd procedural grounds.

The real problem we face is capitalism which cannot provide for peoples’ basic needs and which results in the use of divide and rule tactics as scapegoats are needed for the survival of the system. Billionaires and Corporate vultures are the real problem but as they finance Reform and Restore there is no chance that Farage and Rupert Lowe will have any solutions to the real problems people face. Capitalism depends on dividing the poor against another.

The Zionists though have a problem. Heidi Bachram, the living embodiment of Zionist ugliness and evil, took to Twitter to express her venom. She called the fascists the ‘Stop the-boats people’ rather than what they are. As if they are Luddites who want people to travel by water!

What most concerned her was the ‘anti-Jewish haters’ among the anti-racists. It is strange that Bachram considers anti-fascist as anti-Jewish. This says everything about the political degeneration of Zionism or maybe the fact that it’s becoming more honest about what it really stands for.

Bachram, like most Zionists, deliberately conflates anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism. Strangely enough I didn’t hear one anti-Jewish comment on the demonstration nor did all the other Jews who were on the demonstrations. What we did see was Hitler salutes from the ‘anti-boat’ people. But no doubt they were merely an ‘awkward gesture.’

What Bachram was really concerned about was opposition to Zionism which she alleges is supported by 90% of Jews. In fact less than 2/3 of British Jews today declare they are Zionists.

In the United States, the largest Jewish community outside Israel, the figures are even more stark. Nearly half, 44%, of American Jews under 35 support a one-state solution and 24% of American Jews also support a one-state solution. As the Jewish Forward said, they are ‘functionally anti-Zionist’.

But even if 90% of Jews supported Zionism would that mean being anti-Zionist is anti-Jewish?  If you oppose the political ideas of people does that mean you oppose their very being? Obviously not.

Since most Jews who died in the Nazi holocaust  were not Zionists then according to this idiot Zionist then the majority of the Jews killed in the holocaust were anti-Semitic!

Bachram is deliberately stupid (no I take that back, she might be genuinely stupid).  Opposing an identity doesn’t mean opposing the people themselves.

The reality is that Zionism and anti-Semitism are two sides of the same coin. As Theodor Herzl noted in his  diaries, ‘the anti-Semites will be our most dependable friends, the anti-Semitic countries our allies.’

Saturday 13th June was a magnificent example of what the majority of Brighton people think about fascists, Zionists and neo-Nazis. The 100 or so fascist rats failed entirely in their endeavours.

It is also noteworthy that there was virtually no presence from the Labour Party. Just one solitary Brighton and Hove Labour Party banner. When I came to Brighton over 50 years ago and helped set up the Brighton and Hove Anti-Fascist Committee the Labour Party together with the Trades Council was integrally involved in fighting fascism.

Today their MPs in Brighton and Hove, Chris Ward – the invisible Starmer clone for Kemptown, Chris Ward and Peter ‘killer’ Kyle, the vile MP for Hove have politics which are similar to that of Reform and the ‘patriots’.

We have seen the death of the Labour Party politically and at the next General Election perhaps the death of the party altogether. The story of the Labour Party may be that of the two Kiers – one Kier Hardy helped found it and Keir Starmer helped finish it off.
