The coverage of Prince Philip’s death is what you would expect of North Korea on the death of their ‘beloved leader’
UPDATE
I had one or two critics
amongst those who read my tribute to Prince Philip, feeling I had been ungenerous
to him. Anne wrote that:
‘This
saddens me. I feel you dishonour yourself and it does not help the PSC.You are
speaking of a fellow human being who has just died.
Ann is of course correct but Philip was also an all-round bigot. Perhaps the most revealing
comment he made was when on a 1963 trip to Paraguay. He told the dictator
General Alfredo Stroessner, “It’s a
pleasure to be in a country that isn’t ruled by its people.”
Who was Stroessner? He was a South
American dictator who harboured after the war the SS doctor Josef Mengele, responsible
for horrendous medical experiments on Jewish twins and who selected who would
live and who would die in Auschwitz.
Me with the late Charlie Pottins of the Jewish Socialists Group |
When in 1964 West Germany asked
for Mengele’s extradition they were told ‘“Once
a Paraguayan, always a Paraguayan,”
According to the minutes of the
1969 Israeli Cabinet, an agreement was reached between Israel and Paraguay
whereby Paraguay would accept “60,000
Muslim Arabs who are not communists’. It was the same year that the Mossad
stopped hunting Nazis.
In the 1980s, Israeli Ambassador
Benno Varon reported to Israel on the whereabouts of Nazi war criminals, he was
told: “You’re a diplomat, not a Nazi
hunter.” [Lahav

]
At the ceremony to celebrate
the opening of diplomatic relations Netanyahu stated that
‘You’ve
done much for your country, much for our country... this follows the example
and I would say practice of Paraguay for many, many years. Paraguay helped Jews
escape Nazi Germany. We will never forget this.’
The only thing that concerned
Netanyahu was that Paraguay was pro-Israel. Stroessner ran the country as a
police state for 35 years, and was responsible for the torture of tens of
thousands of citizens, hundreds of whom ‘disappeared’.
The US Embassy used Paraguay’s
good relations with Israel to ward off Congress’s attempts to restrict aid. Israel
koshered anti-Semitic regimes. In January 1986, in an interview with CBS’s “60
Minutes,” Stroessner mentioned the strong relationship with Israel when asked
about the criticism levelled at his regime.
In
2007 I wrote to Prince Philip concerning his hosting, at Windsor Castle, of a
dinner in honour of the Jewish National Fund on the 60th anniversary
of the creation of the Israeli state.
I
received in return a letter from Brigadier Sir Miles Hunt Davies, private
secretary to the Duke seeking to excuse hosting the JNF. Davies stated that
"the
proceeds from the dinner are going to a number of charities, one of which will
be the Israeli Youth Award for Young People, which is the Israeli branch of the
Duke of Edinburgh's Award. This charity plays a significant part in attempting
to bridge the gap between young people of all faiths and backgrounds, in
amongst other places, Israel and Jordan."
As I
wrote in Israel's
royal welcome for the Guardian’s Comment is Free (before the Guardian
had banned anti-Zionist contributors)
So,
according to this logic, the royal family will be hosting a dinner for an
organisation which explicitly discriminates against Palestinians and non-Jews
because the proceeds will be going to a charity which apparently does the
complete opposite. You couldn't make it up.
We
held, as these photos demonstrate, a
very vigorous picket of Windsor Castle as the JNF dignitaries and the Zionist big-wig
arrived!
I hope this better explains my article
yesterday!

I’m not going to waste
words on Philip Windsor or is it Battenburg?
He lived an unremarkable life and his main achievement was living until
99 and marrying a woman who was able to keep him. His sisters supported the Nazis
as did most of the Greek royals.
Phil was famous for a
series of racist remarks the most famous of which were made on his visit to
China in 1986 when he told
British students: "If you stay here
much longer you'll all be slitty-eyed."
He also quipped:
“If it has four legs and is not a chair, has wings and
is not an aeroplane, or swims and is not a submarine, the Cantonese will eat
it.”
During a visit to an
electronics factory in Scotland, Prince Philip saw
a messy fuse box and said it looked "as
though it was put in by an Indian". He also asked
a driving instructor in Oban: “How do you
keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the test?”
Phil the Greek was also an
insensitive bastard. After the Dunblane massacre in 1996, in which 16 children
and one teacher died he opposed controls on possession of guns saying
“If a cricketer suddenly decided to go into a school
and batter a lot of people to death with a cricket bat, are you going to ban
cricket bats?”
I
won’t waste any more words on this worthless man. It says everything about the
BBC that they have spent more time on the death of this useless royal parasite
than the 127,000
(at least) people who have died from COVID-19.
If the hundreds of millions of pounds spent on this dysfunctional family
had been spent on the NHS building up stocks of PPE and if large sections of
the NHS hadn’t been privatized thousands of those people would be alive today.
As
Percy Shelley famously said
‘Monarchy is only the string that ties
the robbers’ bundle’. The purpose of the Royals is to ensure that however
rich or poor you are that you will identify with this symbol of national unity
that enables the rich and privileged to get away with their robbery of ordinary
people. Racism helps divide the poor amongst themselves.
Let
the BBC and the British Establishment mourn, we should organise starting with
demonstrations tomorrow against the Police Bill
