Brighton and Hove Palestine March Says ‘We Don’t Trust Israel Not to Restart the Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing

Trump’s 'Peace Plan' is Already Unravelling as the Zionists Use Dead Bodies as a Pretext  to Kill More Live Palestinians

To keep that flame alive - Carsie Blanton's beautiful song on the Gaza Flotilla

Ever since  PSC’s national demonstration at the weekend X has been full of Zionist trolls asking why, with the ceasefire, are we still marching. The answer they say is ‘anti-Semitism’.

Of course the obvious answer is that Israel is not to be trusted since there hasn’t been an agreement it has made in Gaza or elsewhere that it has kept. To the Zionists a Ceasefire means you cease, we fire.

The Israeli military gunned down seven unarmed Palestinians a few days ago.  It has increased the number of people it has murdered since then. What we are seeing is a managed genocide as Trump’s great 'peace plan' is being shown for the farce it always was.

Demonstration Against Genocide 12 October 25 Brighton & Hove PSC

This was never a ceasefire because it was never a war. It was a one-sided slaughter of civilians as Israel determined that it would destroy all society in Gaza.

As of yet the bombing hasn’t restarted but that is only a matter of time. Having got its hostages back Israel is determined to renege on the agreement and the client Arab regimes that pressed for the deal will of course go along with whatever further atrocities Israel commits because the alternative – turning off the oil – would mean coming into conflict with their ally, the United States.

On the pretext that Hamas hasn’t returned all the bodies of their hostages Israel has announced that it is cutting aid flowing into Gaza by half and possibly more. Israel has also refused the request of Turkey to bring in heavy lifting equipment in order to try and retrieve the bodies beneath the rubble demonstrating that Israel's concern is to find a pretext to go back and finish the job. At the same time as Israel restricts the flow of aid and food it says it isn’t starving the population!

It is becoming increasingly obvious that Israel is looking a way out of the temporary lull in fighting that Trump strong-armed them into. That is why it would be foolish for the Palestine solidarity movement to stand down. On the contrary we need to step up our activity.

Last Sunday about 2,000 people took to the streets with banners in Brighton marching from the Level to the Hove Lawns. Whereas previously we have had a few supporters of Jews and Christians 4 Genocide heckle us on Sunday there were no Zios in evidence.

However it is clear that whatever else it is going to do, the so-called ceasefire is not going to bring peace. It is a racing certainty that the reason why the neo-Nazis in Israel’s  cabinet didn’t resign is because they were reassured that hostilities would be soon resuming.

Ethnic cleansing is not off the agenda even if it has been put on hold for the moment.  Zionism is still seeking to colonise Gaza as part of the Greater Israel.

The Arab regimes behind the plan have continued to play their treacherous role. Whilst opposing Israel’s genocide officially, behind the scenes it is a different story.

The Washington Post reported on Saturday that ‘Even as key Arab states condemned the war in the Gaza Strip, they quietly expanded security cooperation with the Israeli military, leaked U.S. documents reveal.’

Bob Woodward, the veteran American reporter who broke the Watergate scandal revealed in his book ‘The War’ that

the stance of countries like Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia was not one of silence or abandonment of the people of Gaza, as was previously believed. Instead, the details presented in the book suggest that the governments of these countries are complicit in the destruction of the Palestinians, just like Israel

Based on transcripts of hundreds of hours of secret conversations that Woodward conducted with numerous White House officials

The reader is astonished by the agreement of Arab leaders on the necessity of waging war on Hamas and eliminating it, coupled with their complete indifference to the scale of Palestinian bloodshed.

The Arab regimes today are the junior partners of both Israel and the United States in the genocide in Gaza. It is clear that the road to Jerusalem passes through Riyad, Amman, Cairo, Doha and Damascus amongst other Arab capitals. There is no act of treachery that Sisi, King Hussein, MBC and the other scoundrels are not capable of.

This also means that the Palestine solidarity movement cannot remain indifferent to the Arab regimes collaboration with Israel.

Having got back its hostages Israel is now preparing for a new phase in the war on Gaza. Hamas was probably given assurances by Trump and his emissaries that Israel would be forbidden from finding a loophole in the agreement. If so they are going to be bitterly disappointed. All the indications are that Israel is straining at the leash like the mad dog that it is.

Not only should BDS be extended and widened but it is incumbent on workers to emulate the example of Italian workers who staged a general strike against the Genocide.

British trade unions leaders, despite making sympathetic noises, have done absolutely nothing to increase the pressure on the Zionists. PSC’s trade union strategy, which was seen as one of its more successful initiatives is shown to be a sham. Resolutions are passed which go no further than the nearest filing cabinet.

The leaders of two of Britain’s biggest trade unions, the GMB and Unite, are open Zionists and have done nothing whatsoever to give support to the Palestinians. Unite passed a strong Executive statement that nonetheless had caveats enabling Sharon Graham to continue doing nothing.

Given that Unite has a strong membership both amongst arms workers and dockers, the refusal to extend any solidarity to the Palestinians is particularly disgraceful.

We also need to extend and sharpen our political critique of Zionism.

Bridget Phillipson - using 'antisemitism' to sanitize genocide

Bridget Philipson, who is likely to be the next Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, in conjunction with the corrupt Priti Patel is already stepping up the ‘anti-Semitism’ attacks. We are told that Jewish students are fearful of revealing their identity on campus.

There is also the confected ‘anti-Semitism’ outrage about the banning of Tel Aviv Maccabi fans from a game with Aston Villa. None of the mainstream media, still less the BBC has told the true story of how the same Maccabi fans attacked Arab taxi drivers in Amsterdam earlier this year chanting ‘death to the Arabs’ and ‘there’s no school in Gaza because there are no children left.’ Since Starmer is so anxious to see the Maccabi fans in England one can only assume that this political misfit has no problem with these slogans.

It is strange how bourgeois politicians are so concerned about non-existent anti-Semitism at the same time as they have no problem demonising asylum seekers and Muslims. In the United States the only form of anti-racism that Donald Trump is concerned with is ‘anti-Semitism’. Here in this country the Home Office is gifting £1m to the pro-Israel Union of Jewish Students. It is not Zionist Jewish students who are under attack but anti-Zionist Jewish students.

It should be clear beyond doubt that Jews have become the alibi and pretext for support for Zionism and the Israeli state. They are not the cause of that support but they are the reason that Western leaders give for supporting Israel’s genocide.

Of course we should not in any way excuse the stupidity and self-inflicted victimisation complex of British and other Jews. However it is as well to focus on the real reason for imperialist support for Israel not the imperialist decoy.

Jews4Genocide & Christians4Armageddon Combined to Protest that 20,000 Dead Children is not Enough

With their Union Jacks & Israeli Flags the Zionists Resembled the Nazi National Front & English Defence League

Anti-Genocide Supporters Outnumber Jews4Genocide and their Christian supporters

Brighton Clocktower Protest Attracts a Few Zionist Christian Nutters

On Saturday Brighton & Hove PSC and other Palestine solidarity organisations held a demonstration at Brighton’s clocktower in support of the Palestinians. Sure enough ‘Christian’ Zionists and Jews4Genocide also turned.

Another Jewish Fascist Uses the term 'self hater' to describe anti-racist Jews

One of the few Jewish women there was chanting ‘god save king Charles’ though from what she did not say. She seemed perturbed at my presence, calling me a ‘self-hater’, the Nazi term for German anti-fascists (who by ‘hating’ their ‘race’ thereby hated themselves).  I informed said harridan that it was not myself who I hated (I am usually accused of narcissism not self-hate!) but her and all she represented. She looked offended.

Christians Rapturing to Heaven on the Backs of the Palestinians

As is always the case in Brighton & Hove the number of Palestine solidarity supporters far outweighed the bunch of misfits and loony tunes who turned up to support genocide. The Christian Zionists were there because they see the present war as part of god’s plan to return the Jews to Palestine and thus hasten the battles of Armageddon. In that way they will be able to rapture to heaven, as most Jews are consigned to the flames.

Christian Zionists are really Christian imperialists and fascist outriders. The same ‘Christian’ justifications, the supremacy of the ‘civilised’ White races, were used to justify the extermination of the native peoples in the Americas.

Patrick and fellow Christian Zionist

Patrick, a Brighton Christian Zionist, is not the brightest spark that the Zionists possess

A special mention should be made for Patrick from Northern Ireland, who has freely confessed on camera to being a racist. Not the brightest of the Zionists but when you have such little support you can’t afford to be choosy.

A Brainwashed Christian Who Shouted Out that Hamas was Killing Christians When that is Israel's Work

One chump told us that Hamas was killing Christians despite the fact that Christians have lived peaceably in Gaza until Israel decided to bomb their churches and kill their worshippers.

Jerusalem Deputy Mayor, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, insisted to Nick Ferrari on LBC that there were no Christians or Churches in Gaza

Pope Francis has repeatedly condemned Israel for killing those whose only offence is to pray and shelter inside the churches. Palestine Chronicle reported that in the Pope’s communication with members of a Catholic parish in Gaza.

“They tell me ugly things, difficult things,” Francis stated that there are 600 Christians and Muslims in the parish and in the college. “They live as brothers”.

National Front March  - Like the Zionists They Marched With Union Jacks

These attacks on Christians are part of the visceral hatred for Christianity amongst the fundamentalist messianic Zionists in Israel, who have a charming habit of spitting at the sight of Christian priests. Their justification for this is past European Christian anti-Semitism as if Palestinian Christians bear any responsibility for what happened in Europe or as if racism is a biological/religious inheritance.

Brighton EDL being protected by the Police

Like the Fascists, the Zionists love their Union Jacks and Israeli Flags

In fact, compared to the Zionists who consciously obstructed attempts to rescue Jews during the Holocaust, Christians in Nazi  occupied Europe were responsible for saving hundreds of thousands of Jews as my book Zionism  During the Holocaust explained.

Christian Zionist Looking for Trouble

On December 17 of last year the Pope said that “unarmed civilians are the targets of bombings and gunfire.” Pope Francis condemned an attack on the compound of the Catholic parish, “where there are no terrorists, but families, children, people who are sick and have disabilities, and nuns.”

“A mother, Mrs. Nahida Khalil Anton, and her daughter, Samar Kamal Anton, were killed, and others were wounded by the shooters while they were going to the bathroom,”

Brighton Zionists -  similar flags and similar message to the fascist EDL below

Nonetheless the Zionists have a script to stick to which is that Hamas and the Palestinians are genocidal terrorists who have killed all the Christians because Islamists can’t tolerate any other religion. Zionists have a habit of deliberately confusing Hamas with ISIS, which Israel was reliably reported to be supporting in its heyday. ISIS really was a murderous, sectarian organisation.

The aftermath of the bombing of St Porphyrius

In fact Gaza has, or rather had, a number of churches. Israel has bombed them all including the world’s third oldest church St Porphyrius. But of course to the average Christian Zionist the fate of Christians in Palestine is of no consequence because for these racists they don’t fit into their genocidal and Manichean narrative.

The EDL attacking Birmingham Palestine Solidarity stall with an Israeli flag in one hand whilst giving the Hitler Salute - These are the  Zionists' Friends

Christian Zionism is a genocidal imperialist cult which uses the Bible and End Times in order to justify the worst depredations. Christian Zionism is a racist Western religious ideology that rests on a selected plundering the Old Testament in order to justify the conquest of what they consider heathen non-White populations.

Jill - A Fanatical Christian Zionist

In essence Christian Zionism doesn’t consider Palestinian Christians to be Christian because their very definition of Christianity is teleological. Their goal is the second coming and Palestinian Christians are an obstacle to their narrative. Their warped interpretation of Revelations and the ‘Return of the Jews’ means that they are the religious spearhead of imperialism and see this as the way of achieving their millenarian objectives.

James (with the Hamas poster) A Christian Fascist and Daniel (on the right)

In this they are at one with the equally insane Jewish Fundamentalists who wish to restore the third temple on the ruins of the Golden Dome and Al Aqsa Mosque. We had the hilarious interview by Jerusalem’s Deputy Mayor, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, with Nick Ferrari on LBC, who insisted that there were no Christians in Gaza because they had all been driven out by Hamas. The fact that this is patently untrue made no difference. You stick to the Zionist script regardless of the truth.

An Israeli who is convinced that Israeli Palestinians have equal rights to Jews - despite over 60 discriminatory laws and 93% of land being barred to non-Jews

So it was another weekend with a bunch of lunatic Christian Zionists and a few sad and sick Jewish Zionists who paraded with the pictures of Israeli captives held by the Palestinians forgetting that over 10,000 Palestinians are also held hostage, in far worse conditions of torture, starvation and rape.

Whilst hundreds of thousands of Israelis are demonstrating in Tel Aviv calling for an end to the war in order to save the hostages, from Israel’s bombs, Jews4Genocide want to see more bombs, more deaths and more destruction even if it means the deaths of the hostages whose pictures they flaunt.

What makes this particularly disgusting is that the main danger to the Israeli hostages is the war and Israel’s bombing. If they were really concerned about the lives of Israeli hostages they would be doing what half a million Israeli Jews in Tel Aviv did and demand an immediate ceasefire. But of course that is not what they or their ‘Christian’ counterparts want.

Almog Goldstein, who was released in the November hostage swap, said that she was

more worried at times that she and her daughter, Agam, 17, and sons Gal, 11, and Tal, nine, would be killed by the Israeli offensive than by their captors, who once shielded the family with their bodies as shrapnel rained around them.

When the EDL turned up to oppose the Boycott of the Israeli Ahava  Shop in Covent Garden - holding hands with Jonathan Hoffman

Hastening Armaggedon and rapturing up to heaven does not sit easily with a ceasefire. Genocide in Gaza is seen as the fulfilment of the holy covenant in the eyes of these swivelled eyed Zionists, Christian or Jewish.

In Memory of Mike Waterman, former Chair of Brighton & Hove Palestine Solidarity Campaign, who died of COVID earlier this year

From the Boycott of Sodastream to Aborigine Rights Mike drew the lessons from Jewish history that Zionism has effaced

Mike Waterman, known as ‘Mike the hat’ died earlier this year aged 67. I knew him for well over a decade in the Palestine solidarity and anti-war movements. From 2015-2017 he was Chair of the local Brighton & Hove Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

Mike played a crucial role in the campaign to close down the Sodastream shop in Brighton’s Western Road. This was the biggest single victory in Brighton of the Palestine solidarity movement and took over 2 years to achieve.

Mike was a dedicated Jewish anti-Zionist for whom the slogan ‘Never Again’ meant never again for all peoples, rather than the Zionist belief that it applies only to Jews.

Below there are a few appreciations from members and also his obituary in Socialist Worker.  Mike was a long-standing member of the Socialist Workers’ Party.

A Mensch

There's a Yiddish word that springs to mind when I reflect on my times with Mike Waterman - Mike was a mensch. A human being of noble character, a person of rare integrity.  Mike was an idealist who put his boot soles on the pavement, and achieved great victories in doing so, not least shutting down Sodastream in Hove. He also had a deep grain of humour, and immense patience with others who might just need more information to open their minds.  He loved science fiction, and came to the launch of my first SF novel at a book shop in Hove, joining in the fun but also - I recall with immense admiration - finding a way to discuss Israel-Palestine with another guest that made significant changes to their point-of-view.  I am terribly sorry to hear of his loss, which will reverberate widely, and send all my sympathies to his loved ones.

Naomi Foyle

Mike will always be remembered as a committed person to the cause of the oppressed and underprivileged, as much as he hardily campaigned and communicated to the public as much as he wanted to improve the understanding of the cause of injustice caused the oppression... For years I had known Mike his fearless campaign in the streets of Brighton, for public issues in the UK, workers right, NHS, anti-war, anti-imperialism and International he campaigned for the rights of Palestinians against the Israeli colonisation (as he used to call it) and other indigenous people around the world.... Enjoyed many drinks with him after a long campaigning day and he was a great person to befriend. Will greatly be missed...

Remembering Mike W

Many’s the time Mike Waterman and I met up for a pint and a chinwag, and I look back with nostalgia.  The setting was usually the Beer Dispensary; I would get through two pints of pale ale and Mike would frugally have two halves of porter.  He was good company, and chatting with him was always an education; what he didn’t know about politics and history wasn’t worth knowing.  And Mike was such an optimist.  If you got to feeling defeated about what’s going on in the world, talk to Mike - he would lift the spirits.  He was never disheartened, not at all negative about things.

He was also resourceful, as I was to learn when he asked me to assist him in organizing BHPSC’s discussion group.   This regular meeting proved to be very successful and it rolled on for years.  Amazingly Mike never failed to come up with a subject to discuss, every month, always topical, interesting and informative.

His resourcefulness was once again demonstrated when he got his bus pass. To celebrate, he planned a trip from Brighton to Norwich - by bus - which involved multiple changes cross country!  It took the better part of a day, and the delight was that it was all free!

Mike finally moved to Norwich to be close to his sister and her family.  He was very happy there, particularly when he reached retirement.  But of course, activism being part of his DNA, he continued to organize meetings and motivate his Norfolk comrades.

It was a great surprise to learn of his passing.  He left us too early!

Mike Waterman 1953-2021

by Phil Mellows

Covid has taken the life of  Mike Waterman who died at his Norwich home last Friday after apparently staging a recovery from the virus.

The following evening, at a few hours’ notice, a Zoom event organised by Norwich Socialist Workers Party (SWP) attracted more than 40 people. It heard moving tributes to a comrade and friend who made a difference everywhere he went.

Mike joined the SWP in the early 1970s. As well as being a trade union activist in Wandsworth council in south London he developed a reputation as a resolute anti-racist and fighter for the Palestinian cause.

He was well-read, knew his history, and thanks to his instinct for getting stuck in gained enormous experience. This equipped him to handle every situation and argument with a quiet confidence.

He took that with him to Australia in the late 1980s where he became influential in turning the small International Socialist Organisation outwards. There he engaged in campaigns from the struggle for Aboriginal rights to the fight against the first Iraq war. He supported the 1998 dock workers' strike, all the time drawing the connections between apparently diverse issues.

Mike Waterman

Mike was also among the 200,000 protesters tear-gassed at the G8 summit in Genoa in 2001.

He returned to Britain where he tirelessly galvanised Brighton & Hove SWP for a decade.

Mike was central to launching Stand Up to Racism in the city. He also achieved perhaps his greatest triumph when the local branch of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign succeeded in closing the SodaStream shop. It was selling products manufactured in the occupied West Bank.

He had joined the picket there every Saturday for two years, consistently arguing that the campaign was broadened. Winning that argument proved key.

At the end of 2017 Mike moved to Norwich to be close to his sister and once again made an immediate impact. He became a vital force in local campaigns, Palestine inevitably to the fore.

For those who worked with him, he was a rock, the vital centre of every SWP branch he joined. He was a comrade adept at patiently explaining his differences with those who disagreed with us, while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them in the struggle.

Immediately identifiable by the pork pie hat that seemed permanently attached to his head, he was an influential leader.

And his passions beyond politics were surprisingly diverse.

He loved to dance to ska and reggae and trance music. He was a fan of Leonard Cohen and Chelsea Football Club and liked strong, dark beers and a Sunday roast.

He was a demon on the poker table, and he turned to science fiction for a sense of how our world can be different.

Our condolences go to his sister Julie, his brother Leo, his niece Rachael and her children Eva and Jamie.

No sooner had Lloyd-Russell Moyle MP Apologised for Supporting the Purge of Socialists from the Labour Party than he Recanted!

Lloyd Russell-Moyle’s bravado lasted til the first right-wing headline – this is the Socialist Campaign Group

Full of Sound & Fury Signifying Nothing

I must confess to having a soft spot for my local Labour MP, Russell Lloyd-Moyle. Perhaps it’s a case of familiarity breeding contempt. Whenever Lloyd makes a radical gesture you can be sure that he will be rowing back as fast as his little legs can carry him. It’s a case of 1step forward and 3 steps back.

when I questioned Lloyd at a public meeting about his lack of support for Chris, he simply lied to me and said Corbyn had told Chris what he had to do.  This was  untrue

Being a generous soul I welcomed Lloyd’s statement at the Socialist Campaign Group rally last Tuesday condemning the purge of socialists and apologising to the thousands of anti-racists and socialists who have been hurt and devastated by false allegations of ‘anti-Semitism’ from the racists and reactionaries who are or were part of Labour’s toxic Governance and Legal Unit.

“I want to apologise from all of us but me in particular. Because if we have made you feel like you are alone, if we have not reached our arm around you enough in these tough times when you are being purged or set up with false allegations, I not only apologise, I will endeavour to do better because we have to support each other.

I must confess I did draw the line at Lloyd putting his arms around me! Perhaps it’s my religious upbringing, being the son of a rabbi, but I welcome the conversion of a sinner on the road to Damascus (yes I know it’s the wrong religion but it’s the principle I’m talking about!).  The picture of Lloyd being blinded by the light as he fumbles around, looking for people to put his arms around is a touching one.

The first person Lloyd might want to reach out to is Amanda Bishop. Amanda’s crime was to suggest a march on a synagogue to protest at their support for Israeli Apartheid. Now I’m not sure marching on synagogues is the best tactic but there is nothing anti-Semitic about it.  I can remember an old Jewish member of Brighton PSC making such a proposal regularly before others knocked it back.

I picketed a Christian Church in Worthing whose members had been active in harassing women seeking an abortion at a clinic in Brighton. There was nothing anti-Christian about my actions or those of my fellow demonstrators. Yet what was Lloyd’s response to a woman who had lived in South Africa and been one of the few White opponents of Apartheid? Lloyd-Moyle tweeted:

“What she said was revolting and tonight, after I first read the comments today and reported them, she has been suspended. “This is anti-Semitism and not acceptable in our society and our party; no excuses.”

So an apology to Amanda by Lloyd would be especially welcome.

Lloyd's email to Iain McNicol - naturally he had informed noone about it

Much the same happened to me. When I was suspended in March 2016 for ‘comments you are alleged to have made’  I put in a Subject Access Request and received back, among other documents, some emails from LRM. Although they were redacted it didn’t take long to work out that LRM was the rat who had written to McNicol urging my expulsion. The whole correspondence is here.

I wrote to LRM and on 23 August 2016 LRM offered me a ‘limited apology’ (although his spelling is appalling!) and admitted that he had not only informed on me but that ‘I wrote to the regional office on a number of occasions about differnt members.’ Before going on to say that

I hope that you can accept my limited apoligy for point 3 being poorly worded, and I hope that you will understand that whilst I don't regard you as an anti-semite, I do believe that to style, tone and manor which you comment to be very unpleasant and to have no place in the Labour Party. ‘

If you can make your way through the appalling spelling and grammar, Lloyd concluded on a high moral tone:

Well we all try to be kind, even to our enemies.  And I have a few!  You will imagine my surprise when, a few weeks later I came across this act of ‘kindness’ on Facebook.

‘I am the [unelected] chair of his CLP and can tell you he is an abusive, unpleasant little man.  I have told him that to his face.  He alienates people who should be his natural supporters and whilst I’m not convinced he should be suspended for anti-Semitism he has gone…’

I wrote back that ‘I have rarely come across such dishonesty and two facedness as that of yourself.  It really is staggering, even on the personal, let alone the political level.’  I also added for good measure that:

I know it is a small matter but it was a lie to say you had been unpleasant to my face.  Quite the contrary.  You are one of those people who are very pleasant and obsequious to someone’s face and then when their backs are turned you abuse them.  You have all the social graces of an untrained pet.

I wrote a blog on what happened with the two-faced Moyle at the time. Nonetheless I turned up to campaign for Lloyd at the 2017 General Election campaign and no one was happier than me when he ousted the Tory incumbent Simon Kirkby. I even distributed leaflets for Lloyd in 2019 before being thrown off the campaign for sending him critical emails and being an expelled Labour Party member. Clearly he wasn’t putting his hands around me! See No one Better Represents the Opportunism and Lack of Principle of the Campaign Group of MPs than Brighton Kemptown MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle

Having made his bold apology for all the injustices members have undergone, Lloyd then faced a backlash, led by the Spectator which quoted Lloyd as saying  'this has been a goddamn awful conference with a goddamn awful leadership' before suggesting that Starmer ‘'is not a politician for the Labour party.'

All of which is true but would RLM stand by his words? On the basis of his previous record the answer is clearly ‘no’. No sooner had the words of his speech rippled through the media than RLM was backpedalling.

In response to one particularly venomous Zionist Lloyd tweeted that

There are anti-semites that have rightly been expelled from party & for other reasons too (bullying behaviour or supporting other parties). But have been a number (which David Evans himself has apologise to) who have been threatened with expulsion or investigation for no reason.

this is Starmer's new Labour Party - the Police acting as Stewards

In fact there have been virtually no expulsions of anti-Semites. Almost all of those expelled and suspended have been critical of the apartheid State of Israel. And even those guilty of anti-Semitic phraseology, the reason for which is because Zionist groups like the Jewish Labour Movement and Board of Deputies claim to speak on behalf of all Jews whilst supporting Israeli war crimes. It’s little wonder that some people believe them. In other words a classic case of Zionism creating the very ‘anti-Semitism’ that it protests about.

Given that RLM refused even to sign a petition calling for the reinstatement of Jeremy Corbyn, because 'he doesn't feel this was a political decision in the first place' (what was it?  a culinary decision?) you can be sure that RLM's cowardice and self-interest will outweigh any political principles that are lurking.

Lloyd's pathetic email explanation as to why he wasn't signing a petition calling for Corbyn's reinstatement - 'it wasn't political'

No doubt at Labour Party Conference next year, LRM will make another fine speech attacking the leadership and their purge.  Meanwhile he will do his best not to antagonise Starmer or the red Tories that now run Labour. After all, when all is said and done, Lloyd’s main concern is not to follow Jeremy Corbyn and have the whip withdrawn.
